Hogwarts: My Yorozuya has no taboos!

Chapter 41 Protect the Captain

Professor Delfino allowed them to form teams freely, regardless of their college.

Harry looked around—although the students were all very interested in the "Protect the Captain" game, the scene was unexpectedly not that enthusiastic.

And the reason for this—

"Are you going to give it a try, Harry?"

Ron leaned close to Harry's ear and whispered the question.

"I want to give it a try, Ron—"

Harry responded, his tone tinged with sorrow.

"But I've never handled a flying broom before, and I don't know how to ride it... Professor Delfino said he recommends that people with some basic knowledge participate."

"Oh, it's not that hard... um, I have a few Shooting Stars at home, and Fred and George need a goalkeeper when they play Quidditch..."

Harry heard Ron muttering to himself, and he also noticed that Ron's ears and cheeks were starting to turn hot.

"I'm reminding you—just a friendly reminder—"

Hermione Granger, who had overheard their conversation, maintained her composure and glanced sideways at Ron.

"From the perspective of the game rules, you also need to master the Tripping Charm to deal with the Boar Monster."

Thank you!

Ron returned the look, then rolled his eyes.

"You seem quite skilled at dealing with wild boars, so why don't you sign up?"

Lore!

Hermione's fair cheeks flushed red, and she stammered and fell silent.

Harry knew Hermione Granger was a "good student," and perhaps she had already mastered the Tripping Charm. But mastering it was one thing, using it against monsters was quite another.

Moreover, Hermione, like him, has certainly never ridden a flying broomstick.

"You can raise your hand to sign up, Ron—"

After thinking for a moment, Harry encouraged Ron.

"The rules didn't say everyone on a team had to learn the Tripping Charm... one or two is enough, and most importantly, you have to be able to ride a flying broomstick!"

"yes,"

Ron's tone weakened again, and he hesitated before nodding without confidence.

"That's what I think too, Harry..."

"Oh, the first team has been successfully formed!"

Harry was about to continue trying to persuade Ron when suddenly, Professor Delphinor's voice rang out.

"They are Draco Malfoy, Blaise Sabini, Theodore Nott, Daphne Greengrass, Milison Burst, Pansy Parkinson, Moen Blaitch, and... uh—Goy... No problem, I trust my flying broom can handle you."

Professor Delfino nodded.

"An all-Slytherin team... Okay, no problem, that's fine... So, who's the captain?... Oh, Draco Malfoy!"

The new students from the wizarding world weren't too surprised that Slytherin could assemble its own team—most of the students in this house came from 'prestigious' families.

"Ron!"

Harry saw Malfoy looking at him defiantly and became anxious.

"Have some courage!"

"I plan to form a team."

Unexpectedly, before Ron could say anything, the brown-haired girl from before—Pavati Petil—spoke up.

She had clearly overheard Harry and Ron's conversation, and looked directly at Ron.

"You can fly on a broom, right? — Don't worry about the hog monster, we'll find someone who can handle it."

"Pavati Petil said calmly."

"Okay...I'll join."

With Harry's repeated encouragement, Ron finally nodded, looking... ready to die.

"Can we team up?"

After the Slytherin team was formed, the other three houses kept a close eye on each other's movements. Once Parvati proposed forming a team and recruited Ron, those interested immediately began to gravitate towards them.

A boy asked with hopeful eyes,

"I'm Ernie—Ernie McMillan, and this is Susan Bornes. We're both Hufflepuff."

Ernie pointed to a girl beside him. She had a slightly chubby face, but her eyes revealed a resolute determination—Susan smiled at them at the same time.

"welcome!"

Parvati nodded happily, and pulled out another little girl who looked exactly like her from the jostling crowd.

"Plus my sister... she's Padma Petit of Ravenclaw, we're twins—now we're five!"

"We're joining too!"

A brown-haired, seemingly outgoing boy pulled a quiet girl up by the hand.

"I am Terry Boot."

He said this, then lowered his voice and glanced sideways at the Slytherin group that was plotting something.

"I don't really like Slytherins...you know what I mean, I want to teach them a lesson."

"I'm not very good at flying brooms."

The quiet Ravenclaw girl looked a little flustered and said softly,

"But I tried the tripping spell during the first half of the class—well, it worked."

Wow!

Everyone in the team looked at the girl named Mandy with admiration... Hermione Granger, who was watching from the sidelines, seemed a little unconvinced.

"Now it is..."

"Seven people!"

Harry had been calculating for Pettier all along, and he immediately said, his enthusiasm high.

"You're still missing one person!"

"We have seven people now, and we're one short—anyone want to join?"

Petit immediately raised his hand and looked around.

"Requirements include being able to ride a flying broomstick... and those who can use the Tripping Charm will be given priority!"

Harry assumed someone would join immediately... because he himself really wanted to try... especially since he didn't want to lose face in front of Malfoy—who kept giving him mocking looks, as if he were a coward!

But the reality is that even if he joins, he won't be able to make any difference.

It can neither fly with a broom nor use a tripping spell.

"I will master these two skills as quickly as possible," Harry pursed his lips and swore in his heart.

"Is that all?"

Petil called out anxiously.

With so many junior wizards from the three academies combined, there's certainly enough room for eight who can fly on broomsticks; it's just that they're too timid.

Firstly, there was the fear of making a fool of themselves; secondly, Slytherin's team seemed far too powerful, while Pettier's group looked like a ragtag bunch cobbled together...

The others in the team also became anxious... If they couldn't gather eight people, they would have to fight Slytherin as a team of seven.

"All we need is someone who can fly with a broomstick; we already have the Tripping Charm!"

Ernie gasped and cried out, looking anxiously at Petil.

"Are there any Gryffindors left...? Aren't you the House of Courage? Show some courage!"

These words undoubtedly dealt a critical blow to all the Gryffindor students present. Harry felt a rush of blood to his head, and he was about to raise his hand!

"The worst that can happen is that I'll embarrass myself," Harry told himself.

"Neville can fly with a broom!"

Hermione Granger suddenly grabbed Neville's hand and lifted it up.

"What?!"

Seeing Petil and the others' anxious expressions, Neville did indeed seem hesitant... but he never expected to be betrayed!

"You can?"

Pettier immediately pushed Harry away,

"Really, Neville?"

"Well-"

Looking at Neville's face, Harry remembered the goblins weighing rubies in the hall when he went to Gringotts with Hagrid.

"I just—my grandma said it's good to—train—"

"That's you!"

Petil said decisively.

"Well done!"

Feeling that someone with a better sense of smell than himself had appeared, Ron excitedly patted Neville's arm.

"You are my savior, Neville, you are God!"

"Alright, another team has appeared—the captain is... oh, Mr. Longbottom... you guys are really bullying honest people!"

Professor Delfino made a joke. Then, he took a deep breath.

"Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry—Year 91, First Match of the Protectorate Captains' Duel in Mistbottom—Begins!"
