Chapter 90 No Evidence

[A plea for help from a deserted island: The peaceful life of the deserted island has been shattered by a group of humans who suddenly appeared. They've moved into the island's ear canals and are using some unknown device that makes a constant, booming noise, like passing fishing boats. The incessant noise is causing the island great discomfort, and the island wants you to solve its noise problem.]

Zhou Miao glanced calmly at the deserted island about five or six hundred meters away.

The island wasn't particularly large, but it was covered in bushes, making it difficult to spot from the outside that a group of people lived there.

But why do they live in caves?

Secondly, that thing that makes noise all day long, similar to the sound of a fishing boat passing by, seems a bit like a generator.

What exactly are these people doing?

Zhou Miao was very curious, so he slowly steered the boat closer.

The main purpose was to see if I could hear any sound when I got closer, and secondly, to determine the coordinates of this location.

Yu Muzhou, who was standing next to him, also noticed the deserted island. He assumed that Zhou Miao wanted to see if there were any suitable fishing spots around the island, so he focused his attention on the fish finder screen.

Zhou Miao didn't deliberately observe whether there were any people on the island. If someone deliberately hid here, he definitely wouldn't be able to find them.

So he steered the boat around the reef area, focusing his attention to try and hear if there was any sound of a generator.

However, he didn't hear anything, which was expected.

"There aren't many fish around here. How about we go back to the place where we encountered the leatherback turtle?" Yu Muzhou said, noticing the few red dots on the fish finder.

I've already spent quite a bit of time this morning, and if I keep wandering around, I won't have time to fish.

"Okay, let's go over there! I'll catch some lobsters while I'm at it."

"I knew you'd be going diving, so I brought an oxygen tank. I'll go diving with you today."

"Sure, let's go together then."

Zhou Miao turned the boat around and headed towards the sunken ship.

At this moment, at the entrance of a cave halfway up the deserted island, three dark-skinned men kept staring at the departing fishing boat.

"They probably came here looking for fishing spots, but found there weren't many resources around this deserted island, so they left."

"Dao-ge chose a good spot. In all these days, there have been almost no boats anchored near the island."

The man called Brother Dao did not show any smugness: "There are still quite a few ships in the open sea. You two keep watch at the cave entrance and notify me whenever a ship approaches."

"Understood, Brother Dao."

"Brother Dao, when are we finally going to get out of this hellhole?"

"Don't worry, we can leave in about another month. Ah Qiang is still being watched, so he can't come over for the time being."

After leaving the deserted island, Zhou Miao set the fishing boat to cruise mode and kept thinking about whether the people on the island were a group of lawbreakers.

Because of Lu Xingyu's situation, his own and Lu Xiaoxiao's previous experience of being suddenly taken away by the police, and the Maritime Safety Administration's overnight investigation into the shipwreck incident, he was very sensitive to this matter.

However, only Zhou Miao knew this information, and he had no evidence to prove the legitimate source of the information, so he could not provide it to the police station.

This matter needs to be put on hold for a while; at the very least, he needs to obtain evidence that someone is on the island.

Zhou Miao put the matter to himself for the time being. Since he had gone to sea with Yu Muzhou today, he would first try to earn some money to bring back.

Arriving at the shipwreck fishing spot, it was only a little past nine in the morning because we had left early.

Zhou Miao originally wanted to go fishing first, but Yu Muzhou took out a large sports backpack.

"Brother Zhou, are you going to go diving first?"

"Yeah, let's get something to eat, something fresh for lunch."

"The food we ate last night wasn't fresh enough!"

"That's different; food tastes better when you catch it yourself."

That makes sense.

Zhou Miao figured that since Yu Muzhou's fishing boat had a toilet and shower, it wouldn't hurt to go diving first, so he went to change his clothes and went with him.

After changing his clothes and stepping outside, he discovered that Yu Muzhou's oxygen cylinder was exceptionally large, one of which was equivalent to two of his own.

"Brother Zhou, where did you buy this oxygen cylinder? Why is the capacity so big?"

"They sell them at the club's diving branch. Didn't you get your air pumps there? Didn't you see them?"

"They didn't even put anything out to sell, how am I supposed to notice?"

"You probably haven't been there before; their sports store is located on the other side of the inflatable room."

"Okay, next time I'll buy two large bottles."

After he finished speaking, Zhou Miao saw Yu Muzhou pull out a harpoon.

It's a professional hunting tool for diving and fishing, but this kind of thing is used by people who like extreme sports like freediving. He had never seen scuba divers carry spearguns.

"Hey Zhou, do you know how to use this thing?"

Yu Muzhou laughed and said, "I practiced diving a few days ago and shot at targets underwater for several hours. I've learned the basics. I should be able to hit them at closer range."

"It's okay if we miss; we can treat it as field training."

"All right!"

Zhou Miao nodded, having no intention of borrowing his speargun to play with.

The main problem is that he doesn't know how to use it, and secondly, his primary goal in diving was to catch all the lobsters, so he wouldn't need to use it either.

So Zhou Miao put on his net, grabbed the landing net, and jumped into the water.

After entering the water, he waited in place for a while.

Seeing that Yu Muzhou had followed him down and was moving around freely, he felt relieved and swam towards the sunken ship below.

When Zhou Miao stopped the boat, he deliberately positioned it next to the sunken ship according to the topographic map displayed by the fish finder, so that it would be easier for him to catch lobsters.

It was Yu Muzhou's first time diving in the sea, and he was very curious to observe the scenery underwater, but he was very disappointed.

The bottom of the water is just some gray reefs. Although there are many fish, there is no magnificent coral reef seascape.

After finding it uninteresting, he looked at Zhou Miao and discovered a small sunken ship in front of him.

Are lobsters caught at the shipwreck site?

Yu Muzhou immediately followed out of curiosity.

Swimming closer, I noticed the signs of a violent impact on the sunken ship and suddenly realized what had happened.

No wonder Zhou Miao's mood was still a bit off that day, even though a lot of lobsters were caught.

It seems that this sunken ship is the one that Lu Xingyu set sail on.

In response, Yu Muzhou felt more and more that Zhou Miao was a person with great fortune, otherwise, how could so many coincidences happen to him?

In that instant, he decided to change his plan to bring Zhou Miao into the fishing club.

He originally offered an opportunity to invest, with a certain preferential price.

But now, he feels it's not enough.

The leatherback turtle's stay at the fish raft, along with a series of coincidences, led Yu Muzhou to believe that he should give away some more shares on top of selling a certain percentage, thus binding Zhou Miao even more deeply.

Yu Muzhou, holding a speargun, floated beside him, observing him catch lobsters.

After watching for a while, seeing Zhou Miao easily catch more than a dozen lobsters with a net, I felt a little speechless.

These lobsters are so silly!

However, a few managed to escape. Yu Muzhou immediately set his sights on the largest one and chased after it, waving his flippers.

The lobster swam about twenty meters before getting tired, and slowly landed on a rock, then crawled into the crevice at the bottom.

Just as it hid itself, Yu Muzhou arrived at the reef.

With his face hidden by a mask, he smirked and then aimed his speargun at the lobster whose head was sticking out.

Pulling the trigger, the arrow pierced through the seawater with a whoosh, deeply embedding itself in the lobster's head and pinning it to the spot.
