Primordial Era: The Great Serpent of Yunmeng

On Golden Turtle Island, in front of Biyou Palace, at the Jiepai Pass, the Immortal Slaughtering Formation was set up. Daoist Duobao sat calmly at the center of the formation, quietly waiting for the arrival of the people.

This formation consists of four innate treasure swords—the Immortal Slaughtering Sword, the Immortal Slaying Sword, the Immortal Trapping Sword, and the Immortal Annihilation Sword—and the Immortal Slaughtering Formation Diagram. It has four gates: "Slaughter, Slay, Annihilation, and Trapping," which are used to guard the four directions.

The reason why Daoist Duobao received his master's order to come here is quite simple: Daoist Duobao advised Tongtian Jiaozhu that Guangchengzi had insulted the Jiejiao sect as a heretical sect.

The Tongtian Sect Leader was furious and ordered the Golden Spirit Mother to bring the four treasures: the Immortal Slaughtering Sword, the Immortal Killing Sword, the Immortal Trapping Sword, and the Immortal Annihilation Sword, and to give them to the Daoist Duobao the Immortal Slaughtering Formation Diagram.

They were sent to Jiepai Pass to set up the Zhuxian Sword Formation to demonstrate the strength of the Jie Sect and to compete with the Chan Sect.

The Immortal Slaughtering Sword Formation exuded a chilling aura, accompanied by a whistling wind.

The Immortal-Slaying Sword hangs to the east, the Immortal-Slaying Sword to the south, the Immortal-Trapping Sword to the west, and the Immortal-Severing Sword to the north. There are gates and entrances, and within the formation, a song goes:

"With weapons and swords clashing, how can one escape the calamity of being slain? With the demons of love and desire, the flames of ignorance ignite. Today's hardship is in my own hands; life and death are in my own hands."

"Jade Void Palace has brought disaster and calamity; the Heart-Piercing Lock reveals past mistakes. A storm has arisen so close at hand. How can we escape this? Only by relying on ourselves can we survive; sooner or later, we will suffer setbacks!"

The Twelve Golden Immortals and the others stood with furrowed brows, hesitant to enter the formation. After some hesitation, they finally decided to go to Kunlun No. 3 Middle School to find their teacher.

A single thought can unleash a storm, and evil spirits rise in the Kunlun Mountains. The Primordial Celestial Venerable sighed leisurely:

"After all the twists and turns, the great calamity has finally come to an end. Well then, let's just go through it all."

Then, Yuanshi Tianzun looked at Taiqing Shengren beside him and slowly spoke:

"Brother, shall we go together?"

After a moment of silence, the Supreme Sage nodded in agreement:

"good."

The Primordial Celestial Venerable and the Supreme Sage arrived at Jiepai Pass together, where the Twelve Golden Immortals greeted them.

Looking at the many disciples before him, Yuanshi Tianzun felt a sense of disappointment. What was once his greatest pride had failed to amount to anything during the great calamity.

He wanted to say something, but in the end, Yuanshi Tianzun decided to remain silent. He simply spoke to Taiqing Shengren beside him:

"Elder brother, shall I go ahead first?"

The Sage of Taiqing naturally let it be, simply nodding without replying, his gaze fixed intently on the formation.

Yuanshi Tianzun rode in a nine-dragon sandalwood chariot, lifted up by the four Jiedi gods, with golden lotus flowers blooming at its four feet, and entered the Zhuxian Formation.

Upon seeing the newcomer, the Tongtian Sect Leader remained silent, only unleashing a palm strike that shook the Zhuxian Sword, causing a lotus flower to immediately fall from the top of the Yuanshi Tianzun's head.

The Primordial Celestial Venerable circled the formation once, finding himself unharmed except for the lotus flower, and couldn't help but sing a song mocking the Tongtian Sect Leader:

"How laughable that Tongtian has such a shameless heart, hanging four swords in the middle in vain. All his scheming and trickery have been in vain, while I alone roam freely and do as I please."

After he left, the Tongtian Sect Leader's face was slightly flushed, clearly indicating that he was furious.

Upon hearing the song, the Supreme Saint outside the formation frowned deeply, but ultimately remained silent.

The Twelve Golden Immortals, upon seeing this, became even more imposing and arrogant.

The Heavenly Venerable of the Beginning had a rosy complexion and seemed unaffected, but the Sage of the Supreme Purity could see at a glance that the lotus crown on his head had already been shattered.

The Twelve Golden Immortals were momentarily stunned upon seeing the Primordial Heavenly Lord, but then, as if they hadn't noticed anything, they began to praise their teacher.

Perhaps because they disguised themselves so well, or perhaps because the two of them never cared, the Primordial Celestial Venerable and the Supreme Saint did not notice the darkness in their eyes.

"Elder brother, please?"

"That's how it should be."

The Primordial Celestial Venerable smiled, and the Supreme Sage of Taiqing, seeing this, did not linger and entered.

The Sage of Taiqing rode a blue ox, unfurled the Taiji diagram which transformed into a golden bridge, and entered the Gate of Immortal Trapping.

The Tongtian Sect Leader unleashed a thunderous roar, causing the Immortal-Trapping Sword to move. A magnificent pagoda appeared atop the Taiqing Sage's head, which then shot down the incoming Immortal-Trapping Sword.

The Sage of Taiqing and the Master of Tongtian fought a great battle in the formation. The Sage of Taiqing laughed and said that the Master of Tongtian did not understand the ultimate Dao, and even hit him with a flat cane.

The Tongtian Sect Leader was furious and fought the Taiqing Sage several times, but ultimately he could not gain the upper hand and could only let him leave.

In this great battle, although the Sage Taiqing was unharmed, he ultimately used all his skills, and his method of transforming one breath into three techniques was truly eye-opening.

In the Xiqi army camp, Yuanshi Tianzun and Taiqing Shengren sat facing each other. Yuanshi Tianzun slowly spoke:

"Although this formation cannot harm you or me, breaking it will not be an easy task. It will be difficult for the two of us alone."

With his disciples and followers nearby, and the two armies on the battlefield, Yuanshi Tianzun's every move should naturally be viewed with disdain, and he must not show any fear.

But now that it's just the two of them, in front of his elder brother, Yuanshi Tianzun naturally doesn't need to pretend anymore and can speak frankly.

The Supreme Sage also looked troubled, his heart filled with mixed emotions, and slowly spoke:

"In this battle between sages, you and I provoked our third brother with words. Although we did not fully unleash the power of the great formation, we were still able to glean some information from it."

"It's fine if outsiders don't know, but you and I have already used all our methods. You should understand the true power of the formation in their hands during that chaotic time."

At this point, the Supreme Sage sighed deeply and said:

"In public, even amidst great calamity and as enemies, we still respect each other, allowing each other to mock us without uttering a word in rebuttal."

"This is also to leave a record for both of us behind our backs. We've let you and me off this time. If you know proper etiquette, you and I should leave after this."

"With this formation in place, the two of us alone cannot pass through Jiepai Pass."

The Supreme Sage remained calm, but the Primordial Heavenly Venerable slowly spoke:

"It's alright. Since we can't get through this by our own strength, someone will naturally come to our aid."

The Sage of Taiqing looked on curiously, but the Primordial Heavenly Venerable did not offer any explanation, as the matter was indeed not something to be proud of.

"Brother, I will invite Jieyin and Zhunti to help me later. They are currently involved in some karma with me, so it's a good time to make use of them."

The Supreme Sage asked:

"Oh? Jieyin and Zhunti have never been shy. They owe countless karmic debts. Do you really think they'll admit it to you?"

The Primordial Celestial Venerable let out a cold laugh, then slowly spoke:

"This matter is not honorable, but we absolutely cannot let it go unpunished this time. If we acted carelessly and gave ourselves away, and I caught us red-handed, then we will naturally have to face this consequences."

Seeing this, the Sage of Taiqing nodded and said nothing more. Since the Primordial Heavenly Venerable had made his plans, he naturally wouldn't say anything more.

However, the Supreme Saint Taiqing never expected that the dishonorable thing the Primordial Heavenly Venerable spoke of would be so dishonorable.

This disgraceful affair caused the Three Pure Ones to become estranged, to the point that they almost never spoke to each other again until their deaths.

Even Yuanshi Tianzun, who agreed to the matter, did not expect that the handle he was caught with was just a slip of the tongue deliberately revealed by Jieyin and Zhunti under their scheme.

As soon as the message from Yuanshi Tianzun was sent out, the two from the Western Sect, Jieyin and Zhunti, rushed over together.

After the arrival of Daoist Zhunti, the four leaders discussed how to break the formation and each guarded one of the four gates.

Yuanshi Tianzun entered the Zhenfang Zhuxian Gate, where auspicious clouds above welcomed the Zhuxian Sword.

The Taoist priest led the way into the Immortal Slaughtering Gate of the Li Palace, where three relics on his head stopped the Immortal Slaughtering Sword.

Lao Tzu entered the Western Immortal-Trapping Gate, where the exquisite pagoda on his head shot down the Immortal-Trapping Sword.

When Daoist Zhunti entered the Immortal Gate, he held the Seven Treasures Tree and released a thousand green lotuses that blocked the Immortal Sword.

The four leaders entered the palace gate together. The Tongtian Sect Leader drew his sword to capture the Guide Daoist, while Laozi and Yuanshi Tianzun also made their moves.

Zhunti Daoist revealed his Dharma body and enveloped Tongtian Jiaozhu within it, while Laozi and Yuanshi Tianzun also unleashed their magic weapons to attack Tongtian Jiaozhu.

Unable to withstand the attack, the Tongtian Sect Leader could only resort to escape techniques. The Zhuxian Sword Formation, which had been famous throughout the prehistoric world and was hailed as being on par with the Dutian Divine Fiend Formation and the Zhou Tian Star Formation, finally met its fate of being broken.

After the Immortal Slaughtering Formation was broken, the Tongtian Sect Leader was furious and returned to Biyou Palace, his anger and resentment burning fiercely.

As the leader of the Jie Sect, he was defeated by four saints working together, and the sect's treasure, the Four Swords of Zhuxian, was also taken away. This was a great humiliation for him and the entire Jie Sect.

Most importantly, as brothers, the fact that his elder brother brought in outsiders to bully his own brothers brought the Tongtian Sect Leader to the peak of his disappointment and resentment.

In his fury, the Tongtian Sect Leader resolved to forge the Six Soul Banner for revenge. This banner had six tails, on which were written the names of six people: the Guide Daoist, the Zhunti Daoist, Laozi, the Primordial Heavenly Lord, King Wu Ji Fa, and Jiang Ziya.

Simply perform the ritual morning and evening, and on the day the ritual is completed, wave this banner to kill these six people.

At the same time, in order to save face and restore the prestige of the Jie Sect, the Tongtian Sect Leader decided to devote all the power of the Jie Sect to setting up a great formation. This formation was the result of his own hard work, and in the Tongtian Sect Leader's opinion, it was even better than the Zhuxian Sword Formation.

He drew upon the essence of the ancient Heavenly Court's Zhou Tian Xing Dou Grand Array and combined it with his own knowledge and wisdom to create this work.

The Ten Thousand Immortals Formation is centered around the Tongtian Sect Leader, with the Golden Spirit Mother at its head, and is coordinated and operated by her other disciples and seven attendant immortals.

The Tai Chi Formation, Yin-Yang Formation, and Four Symbols Formation within the array are presided over by the immortals of the Jie Sect, who randomly activate the formations using their magical power.

Taiqing Sage and Yuanshi Tianzun came to inspect the formation. Taiqing Sage saw that Tongtian Sect Master had many disciples, but they were of varying quality. He advised him to stop and withdraw the formation to avoid bloodshed.

The Tongtian Sect Leader resolutely refused. In his view, these two had long since abandoned their brotherhood. They had previously won over outsiders, and now they were even belittling their own disciples. How could he tolerate this?

Therefore, the Taiqing Sage and the Yuanshi Tianzun, having no other choice, once again invited the two Western Sages.

The four sages sat together in a reed shed, discussing strategies to break the enemy's formation.

The battle began, and the Taiji Formation within the Ten Thousand Immortals Formation was the first to be attacked, presided over by Wuyun Xian, the leader of the Seven Immortals.

Chi Jingzi and Guang Chengzi were ordered to break the formation, but they were easily defeated by Wu Yunxian with the Hunyuan Hammer.

The Taoist Zhunti arrived to provide assistance and used his powerful magic to subdue Wuyun Xian, transforming him into a golden-bearded turtle and sending him to the Western Eight Treasures Merit Pool.

Seeing that Wuyun Xian had been captured, Qiushou Xian took the initiative to challenge Zhunti Daoist.

Zhunti Daoren arranged for Manjushri Guangfa Tianzun to meet the enemy, and Yuanshi Tianzun also handed over the Pangu Banner to Manjushri Guangfa Tianzun to assist in the battle.

Manjushri, the Heavenly Venerable of Vast Dharma, defeated Qiu Shou Xian with the Pangu Banner, forcing him back to his original form as a green-haired lion, and took him as his mount.

Seeing this, Lingya Xian was unconvinced and challenged Taiqing Saint. Taiqing Saint then asked Puxian Zhenren to deal with him and handed over the Taiji Talisman to Puxian Zhenren.

Master Puxian used the Taiji Talisman to disrupt the Yin-Yang Formation, suppressed Lingya Xian's magic power, and captured him alive. Lingya Xian then became Master Puxian's mount.

Jin Guangxian then went into battle. Cihang Daoren, acting on the orders of Yuanshi Tianzun, broke the formation. Holding the Three Treasures Jade Ruyi, he stabilized the Jinguang Formation and used his Dharma Body to capture Jin Guangxian. After being defeated and returned to his original form, Jin Guangxian became Cihang Daoren's mount.

To protect the Tongtian Sect Leader, the Holy Mother Guiling fought against Laozi and others, defeating Julusun with the Sun and Moon Pearl.

Fearing that Liu Sun was no match for him, he fled to the west, where he was subdued by the Taoist priest with prayer beads and transformed back into his original tortoise form.

The Guide ordered the White Lotus Boy to subdue the Holy Mother Tortoise Spirit, but when the boy tried to subdue her, a swarm of mosquitoes flew out of the bag and bit the Holy Mother Tortoise Spirit to death.

Even her soul and true spirit were completely devoured, making the Holy Mother Turtle Spirit the only Great Luo Golden Immortal in the Investiture of the Gods whose physical body and true spirit both perished.

When the Tongtian Sect Leader saw that many of his disciples were either dead or captured, he was enraged and launched a great battle against the Four Sages.

Although the Tongtian Sect Leader possessed great magical power, he was ultimately outnumbered and was repeatedly defeated by the magical treasures unleashed by the Four Sages. His sword was also shattered by the Seven Treasures Tree used by the Daoist Zhunti.

The next day, Laozi and Yuanshi Tianzun restrained Tongtian Jiaozhu, while Jieyin Daoren and Zhunti Daoren rushed into the Ten Thousand Immortals Formation, used the Qiankun Bag to put the three thousand disciples of the Jie Sect into the bag.

Guang Chengzi, Chi Jingzi, Yu Ding Zhenren, and Dao Xing Tianzun, wielding the four Zhuxian swords, charged into the formation and began slaughtering the disciples of the Jie Sect.

At this moment, seeing that the Ten Thousand Immortals Formation was doomed, Chang Er Ding Guang Xian surrendered with the Six Soul Banner, which the Tongtian Sect Leader had placed great hopes on.

Losing the Six Soul Banner as a trump card, Tongtian Jiaozhu suffered a complete defeat. The elites of the Jie Sect were almost all killed or wounded, and only two or three hundred nameless immortals followed Tongtian Jiaozhu to escape the Ten Thousand Immortals Formation.

Seeing that the situation was not good, the Holy Mother of Wudang secretly fled the battlefield and went into hiding. She was a perfected Great Luo Golden Immortal, and as long as the saint did not come out, it would be difficult for anyone to capture her in a short time.

Tongtian Jiaozhu became the only loser in this great calamity, and the Jie Sect, which was known as the number one sect in the prehistoric world, also faced its demise at this moment.

The magnificent scene of ten thousand immortals coming to pay homage was never seen again in the primordial world, except for occasional occurrences in the Heavenly Court.
