Chapter 7 007 Nuwa's Sermon

"Congratulations to Junior Sister Nuwa on attaining enlightenment." Upon approaching, Laozi was the first to offer his congratulations, followed closely by Yuanshi and Tongtian. However, Yuanshi's congratulations seemed somewhat insincere.

Nuwa didn't seem to mind and said calmly, "My three senior brothers should be arriving soon."

Seeing a pause in their conversation, without Tongtian giving any instructions, Wei Guang gave Zhao Gongming and the other three a look, then bowed to Nuwa and said in unison:

"Wei Guang/Zhao Gongming/Yunxiao... pay respects to Aunt Nuwa."

Nuwa glanced at Wei Guang and the others, then lifted them up with a wave of her hand before looking at Tongtian. "Senior Brother Tongtian is quite lucky to have such a fine disciple."

"Hahaha..." Tongtian laughed heartily.

Although they did not receive any reward, Wei Guang and the others did not care. After all, for them, being able to listen to a sage preach at the Golden Immortal realm was already the greatest reward.

Afterwards, the Three Pure Ones took their seats at Nuwa's invitation. As for Wei Guang and the others, they were not qualified to sit and could only stand obediently behind Tongtian.

Laozi then asked Nuwa about her experience in proving the Dao, but she said that her Dao was not of any reference value.

The Three Pure Ones seemed to have expected this. There are no shortcuts to enlightenment; their question stemmed from a mere sliver of hope.

Then came endless silence.

Wei Guang had assumed that everyone would chat idly as they gathered together, but that wasn't the case. Instead, everyone waited quietly for the sermon to begin.

It was simply Nuwa's way of expressing the difference in status between them and the people outside.

After a while, Nuwa suddenly sent Caiyi out to fetch someone. It was obvious that the two from the West were the ones Nuwa would personally send to fetch.

"Congratulations to Junior Sister Nuwa on attaining enlightenment."

Before they arrived, their voices preceded them—that was the proper address, and Wei Guang's expression turned slightly strange. Both in terms of order and status, the two Westerners should have been junior brothers.

She's called my personal junior sister?

The next second, two Taoist priests followed in single file, dressed in colorful robes. It is worth noting that the two were not bald, which suggests that this will only change after the establishment of the sect.

"Please take your seats."

Nuwa's expression was indifferent, which showed that she was also somewhat displeased with the way the two addressed her, but she didn't say anything more.

The two guides didn't seem to care. They nodded slightly to the Three Pure Ones and sat down, as if they didn't really regard the three as their senior brothers at all.

Laozi and Yuanshi ignored them, but Tongtian nodded slightly in response.

Seeing this, Wei Guang seemed to understand. This must be what they call a nodding acquaintance; it seems that everyone in this prehistoric world takes a pretty open-minded view of friendship.

They're too lazy to even put on a show.

After taking their seats, Zhunti's gaze fell on Wei Guang and the others. After seeing through their backgrounds, Zhunti was so envious that tears almost streamed down his face.

He hurriedly transmitted his voice to the guide, saying, "Senior brother, what do you think of Tongtian's disciples?"

Upon hearing this, Jieyin glanced to the side.

Three Lights, Gentle Breeze, Auspicious Clouds—good heavens, such a background is top-tier among the younger generation. If only they had been born in the West.

Zhunti continued, "Senior brother, I see that they have an affinity with my Western Paradise."

Jieyin was stunned. "Are you crazy? That's Tongtian's disciple. If Tongtian sets up the Immortal Slaughtering Sword Formation on Mount Ling, do you think you and I can withstand it?"

Zhunti said, "I never said I was going to forcibly take it from you."

Helpless, Jieyin instructed, "At this moment, you should focus on proving the truth and not create unnecessary complications."

The two's telepathic communication might have fooled the Three Pure Ones and others who were also quasi-saints, but it couldn't fool Nuwa, who was at the head of the table. Nuwa gave the two a deep look and felt a wave of nausea.

These two are simply outrageous.

They've already started stealing treasures, digging up mountains, and excavating the earth, but now they're even trying to rob people, and Tongtian's disciples no less! Aren't they afraid that Tongtian might sink Mount Sumeru in a fit of rage?

However, adhering to the principle of "minding one's own business," Nuwa did not interfere.

Seeing that the time was almost up and everyone had arrived, Nuwa looked at the crowd and said, "Everyone, the time has come."

Upon hearing this, everyone stood up, bowed slightly to Nuwa, and then headed towards the main hall. Wei Guang and the others naturally followed Tongtian obediently.

Although many people attended the sermon, no one dared to occupy the front seat.

Everyone was a sensible person and knew that it was not prepared for them, but for the Three Pure Ones, the Two Sages of the West, and the high-ranking members of the Demon Court.

As disciples of Tongtian and nephews of Nuwa, Wei Guang and his companions were fortunate enough to secure front-row seats.

Once everyone was seated, Nuwa's figure suddenly appeared on the high throne, "Manipulating heaven and earth, mysteriously capable of creation; bringing something from nothing, turning death into life..."

Without any preamble, Nuwa began her sermon.

Suddenly, magical flowers rained down from the ceiling and golden lotuses bloomed from the ground within the hall. A rich Daoist aura enveloped everyone, and they were immersed in it, entering a state of selflessness and oblivion.

Wei Guang was the same.

He had originally wanted to see what the difference was between a sage preaching and a quasi-sage preaching, but now he unconsciously entered a state of enlightenment, with no other distracting thoughts in his mind.

Wei Guang, immersed in this moment, was like a sponge that had long been nourished by sweet dew, frantically absorbing knowledge that was useful to him.

In this state, Wei Guang was completely unaware of the passage of time. He didn't know how much time had passed; it felt like an instant, yet also like hundreds of years.

In a certain instant, Wei Guang suddenly grasped a sliver of the true meaning of the Law of Light.

In other words, as long as Wei Guang is willing to take the Great Dao of Light as his foundation, he will be able to enter the Taiyi realm without any hindrance when his magical power is perfected.

After an unknown amount of time, Wei Guang made another breakthrough.

However, the breakthrough was not in cultivation level, nor in the Great Dao of Light, but in the Great Dao of Annihilation. He actually used the Three Powers Annihilation Divine Light as his source to comprehend a trace of the true meaning of the Law of Annihilation.

It was both surprising and yet somehow inevitable.

However, this was already Wei Guang's limit. Nuwa's subsequent words were beyond his comprehension, leaving him feeling completely bewildered.

However, Wei Guang was already very satisfied with being able to comprehend the true meaning of two laws at the same time, and could not ask for too much.

Slowly opening their eyes, Zhao Gongming and the other three had woken up at some point, but they had only woken up from a state of enlightenment, not from being idle.

Looking at the others, they were all still immersed in their own insights.

However, to Wei Guang's surprise, the group of quasi-saints were in a different state from the others; they did not seem to have entered a deep state of enlightenment.

Instead, they were in a semi-conscious state.

However, this state soon changed, and he became like everyone else, entering a deeper level of enlightenment.

Although somewhat confused, Wei Guang had a guess in his mind. It must be that the Dao he had spoken of before had not touched them, meaning that he had not yet reached their level of understanding.

This can be seen as a reflection of the gap between them and those Great Luo Golden Immortals.
