Tony put down his fork: "You're going alone?"

"Um."

"How dangerous is it?"

"Very high." Lin Yi said truthfully, "Both of their visionary bodies are present. According to the Time Management Bureau, they can instantly infect people with the cosmic virus, but according to Scar Strange, their universe doesn't seem to have the cosmic virus. Whether it wasn't deployed or there's some other reason, we need to go back and ask him."

"Those gazes have been there all along, but haven't caused any major impact yet. Can't we just ignore them?" Natasha suddenly interjected.

Lin Yi shook his head, wondering if she was still dazed from being lifted and thrown by Hulk. How could he ignore it?

"As I said before, the multiverse is colliding, and they will appear in our universe and other universes sooner or later. We need to plan ahead and strike early, otherwise we will fall into a more passive situation."

Everyone fell silent; this was no longer a problem for them to consider.

Lin Yi ate his noodles, but he was thinking about some things.

……

The next day, Lin Yi did not return directly to the main universe, but instead planned to stay for two days.

It's not that we're not in a hurry to deal with those eyes, it's just that Tony said he needs to have a technical exchange with old Tony and will need to stay for a couple more days.

Besides that, there was another reason, something he had been agonizing over all night.

Lin Yi sat atop the now-half-remaining Stark Tower, watching the automated robots busily rebuilding below, and several uniquely designed excavators working tirelessly in the distance.

He was somewhat interested in the Grandmaster's game, but not particularly keen to participate.

What troubled him was whether or not to go directly back to the main universe and spend a few years inside the sun, a thought he had considered before.

However, ideas are just ideas. When it comes to actually doing them, his sixth sense always stops him, which Lin Yi doesn't quite understand.

If he were to actually spend a few years in the sun, he could probably roam freely throughout the multiverse... although he's pretty much the same now, as long as those top-tier beings don't appear.

I just don't know which direction I'll develop in. Will I continue to strengthen my body, or will I experience limitless growth like Silver Superman, possessing the ability of willpower, able to create and generate the abilities I want at will?

Or perhaps, like the Golden Superman, he could absorb solar energy to achieve dimensional leap and become a five-dimensional life form that manipulates timelines?

Or are there other forms? But silver and gold are the paths Lin Yi most wants to choose.

Regardless of its form, it represents ultimate power. After a few years of this, the current cosmic crisis could be almost completely resolved.

So what's the reason for constantly suppressing my feelings?

Lin Yi was a little irritated. Subconsciously, he felt that his intuition was right, but he couldn't figure out why.

"You seem troubled. Would you like a drink?"

Tony's voice came from behind him as he walked over carrying two glasses of whiskey.

"Feeling sad looking at the dilapidated scene?" Tony handed Lin Yi a glass of wine and sat down next to him.

Lin Yi took the wine glass and shook his head: "Was I that obvious? You noticed?"

"What else? A super kid like you, sitting here watching an excavator work? Although I admit excavators are quite charismatic."

"I actually prefer to hear you call me Superman..." Lin Yi said speechlessly, picking up his glass and taking a sip.

It doesn't taste good.

"So what exactly are you worried about? The Time Bureau and those eyes on you?" Tony pressed. He had noticed something was off with Lin Yi the night he returned; he was constantly distracted, something that hadn't happened before.

"More or less..." Lin Yi tilted his head back and drank it all in one gulp, but still didn't think it tasted good.

He didn't drink much before, at most he would drink some beer with some ordinary friends before he transmigrated, but now he wants to drink some baijiu (Chinese liquor).

I wonder how my ordinary friends are doing now, and I also wonder if my current physical condition allows me to feel drunk after drinking baijiu (Chinese liquor).

"Tony, tell me, if you obtained the MK85 before you even developed the Iron Man suit, and gained the power to influence the fate of Earth, would you be happy?"

The gentle breeze made Lin Yi squint, and he suddenly asked a question.

Tony swirled his wine glass, glanced at Lin Yi, and thought for a moment before not answering the question.

"I think I understand what you're struggling with now."

"Hmm?" Lin Yi raised an eyebrow. "Tell me about it."

Tony looked into the distance: "Let me answer your question first."

"For me before I was kidnapped, I would have been very happy. MK85 does indeed have the power to influence the planet Earth to some extent."

"But for me right now, it won't make me happy."

"Why?" Lin Yi stared into the distance, seemingly lost in thought. Though it was a question, his tone was completely indifferent.

Tony smiled. "There's something I've always wanted to avoid talking about, and I haven't wanted to admit it. But saying it now might help you, so it doesn't matter."

"Before that cave of the Ten Rings Gang, I was a bastard. I didn't understand the value of life, nor did I understand what respect was."

Lin Yi turned his head. "You wouldn't understand now."

"Tsk, are you even going to let me speak?"

"Okay, okay, you go ahead..."

"...I forgot where I was."

"Ha, you're getting old, Tony," Lin Yi suddenly laughed.

"You little brat, it's because you interrupted me!" Tony rolled his eyes, then laughed with Lin Yi for a while.

The atmosphere lightened a bit, and Tony sighed.

"If it were me back then, I would definitely be happy to get the MK85, but do you know what happened afterward?"

"The combat suits will become real weapons, and the technology will be broken down into more modules to create more powerful weaponry."

Perhaps by now, the US would be filled with armored vehicles, more blood would be shed, and more lives would be lost.

"I don't think Pepper would have liked me like that, and she might have left, and then there wouldn't be the Morgan we know today..."

"To boast a bit, if we didn't restrict the Iron Man suits, Earth might have been riddled with holes before Thanos even arrived."

"That's certainly quite boastful..." But it's also possible that it is.

"Don't interrupt, or you'll forget again."

"All right."

"What I really want to say is that some things can only be understood through experience. Everyone can understand a principle just by talking about it, but only through experience can one develop their own beliefs."

"I went through that kidnapping, that cave, Mark I, Ethan. I learned some things, and I knew what I was supposed to do."

"With each unexpected event and conflict that followed, I also grew, which is why I am the Iron Man I am today."

"If none of these things had happened, and I, as a young person, had suddenly acquired the MK85, I might have become a steel tyrant."

"Hmm... I might suddenly realize it one day, but I think by then, everything will be over, because some things will be irreversible."

After Tony finished speaking, he turned to look at Lin Yi: "Do you understand what I mean?"

Lin Yi chuckled: "Your naming skills have gotten even worse, but I think Iron Bully suits you better than Iron Man."

"Fuck, I'm not talking to you anymore." Tony was speechless for a moment, then got up and left, leaving Tony alone.
