Chapter 83 Inter-Universal Support Protocol
In 2008, in a cave belonging to the Ten Rings Gang.
"Hey Tony, busy, huh!"
Lin Yi, munching on a cheeseburger, suddenly appeared in this small room that records the history of Iron Man's birth.
He tossed one to Tony, and of course, didn't forget Ethan.
"Come on, have something to eat before you get back to work."
Tony instinctively took the hammer from Lin Yi's hand, put down the hammer in his other hand, and looked at Lin Yi with suspicion.
"Who are you?"
He didn't think Lin Yi was in cahoots with the terrorists outside. Lin Yi was dressed casually, like someone on vacation. Besides, given how he appeared out of nowhere, if the gang outside had that kind of ability, they probably wouldn't have needed to kidnap him to make missiles.
"Isn't there any originality in this problem?" Lin Yi sighed.
Tony pursed his lips, looked at the hamburger in his hand, swallowed hard—it was still warm.
After only a few seconds of hesitation, I peeled open the packaging and took a bite.
If you want him dead, there's no need to go through the trouble of getting a hamburger.
"Alright, now for a new question: how did you get here? What do you want from me?"
"Don't tell me you're going to build missiles too, you'll have to wait in line."
Tony Stark is truly something else; he can't seem to utter a single kind word.
However, Lin Yi didn't care.
"Did I bring you something good for the future?"
"Something good from the future?" Tony swallowed the hamburger in his mouth. "Is this some new prank? I don't remember today being April 1st."
"Say that, come on, you two, look me in the eye!" Lin Yi threw away the wrapper, clapped his hands, and then stood up straight.
When the high-tech reactor appeared, Tony's eyes widened.
That was the reactor he envisioned, no, it was far more mature and advanced than he had imagined.
Lin Yi placed the reactor against his chest and patted it twice. The next second, nanoparticles surged out like a torrent, instantly forming a cool steel nanosuit.
"Watfuck?"
Tony couldn't finish his burger and stared blankly at the suit in front of him.
Nanotechnology? And this color scheme, this shape, why do I feel strangely familiar with it even though I've never seen it before?
Mine! Why do I feel like this is originally mine?
My mind is a little foggy.
Lin Yi opened her mask.
"How about it? Cool, right? Want this skill?"
Tony put down the hamburger, his expression becoming extremely serious.
"How much money do you need, young man? Or shares in Stark Industries? That's not out of the question either."
"Name your price, as long as I can afford it!"
Lin Yi chuckled to himself, knowing he couldn't help himself. Didn't you see Tony's hands were trembling with excitement?
Lin Yi stretched out his hand, and a small portion of the nanoparticles condensed into a data storage device in his hand.
"It's free, I'll give it to you for free!" Lin Yi tossed the memory to Tony, who was startled and frantically reached out to catch it.
What would happen if Iron Man got access to technology from ten years in the future? Lin Yi was quite curious. It was like watching a movie where he had set the beginning, but how would it unfold?
He found out very quickly.
The following sequence cannot be performed; the memory is thrown into the air and stops.
No, not only did the memory freeze, but Tony's movements also stopped.
All sound disappeared, and time itself seemed to freeze at that moment.
Behind them, an orange portal of light silently opened.
Lin Yi's lips curled up: "That's strange. You guys wouldn't come to change the absolute time, but you can't resist just because you're given a memory card?"
"It's much slower than I expected."
Turning around, Lin Yi looked at the three people who had appeared.
Well, it seems like they're high-ranking officials. They're not wearing those standard combat suits like the small Karami. All three of them are wearing dark gray suits, two men and one woman. The woman is standing at the back with a tablet in her hand, and the other two have weapons that look like police batons with glowing tips on their waists.
"Judging by your outfits, did you just finish the company's annual party?"
Ignoring Lin Yi's teasing, the man in the suit standing at the front stepped forward.
"Lin Yi, we are agents of the Time Management Bureau. I am Agent Mobius." The man in the suit was a man in his forties with his hair neatly combed.
Möbius? Lin Yi looked at the person in front of him.
Mobius from the Time Bureau? Wasn't he stabbed with a stick along with Loki?
Well, it's not really that strange. The Time Management Bureau's employees are recruited from various universes, and they've done it before, recruiting another one.
"Just the three of you?" Lin Yi looked at the three of them, unable to muster any fighting spirit.
"We're not here to fight," Möbius said, shaking his head as he sensed the tension in Lin Yi's words. "We're here to deliver a message."
"Information?" Lin Yi frowned, asking in confusion, "What information?"
The female agent behind Möbius tapped the tablet in her hand and said, "Your recent actions have caused twenty-one major timeline branches and abnormal fluctuations in 1,630 historical nodes. According to the Time Management Bureau's regulations, you must immediately cease all disruptive activities."
"Huh?" Lin Yi was somewhat speechless. What kind of nonsense is this? How was this quantity calculated?
"If I don't, will you take me back to the Time Management Bureau?"
The female agent looked at Möbius, who shook his head.
"You can't go to the Time Management Bureau."
Why?
"I can't answer you..."
"Fine, you don't have to go. Then tell me why you're releasing cosmic viruses into space, and where those disgusting vision entities are."
"Your goal isn't just to maintain the sacred timeline, is it?" Lin Yi kept thinking about this question as he wandered around.
After all, those people behind the Time Management Bureau aren't exactly good people.
"I can't answer that either..." Möbius shrugged nonchalantly.
Lin Yi narrowed his eyes, exuding a dangerous aura.
"You can't answer this, you can't answer that, what can you answer? Can you tell me how the pyramids were built?"
"To be honest, I'm quite curious, when were the pyramids built again?" Lin Yi said, pretending to count.
"Oh, around 2000 BC? I'm planning to go take a look, and maybe help them revise the design while I'm at it. What do you think?"
The female agent's expression changed: "You can't do this! It will change the course of human civilization!"
Lin Yi's face also darkened: "Then answer my question!"
Möbius remained silent for a moment, then looked at the two people behind him with a troubled expression.
"What, is it finally time for a fight?" Lin Yi sneered.
Mobius silently pulled a communicator from his pocket... which also had a teleportation function and looked more advanced than the one Wade had brought over.
"Activate Plan Two, request instruction update, physically suppress target, authorize inter-universe support protocol."
