Chapter 48 Little Devil, Filial Daughter Morgan

Lin Yi took it; it was a very exquisite rectangular metal object.

"This is?"

"This is Jarvis's backup. Don't get me wrong, it's not for the other me in another universe."

"Don't you guys have Jarvis there? I heard your suit on the monitor earlier sounded like Friday..."

"That's right, it's because of the Ultron incident. Did it happen here? You know, that..." Lin Yi gestured, "...a crazy electronic consciousness?" Lin Yi wasn't quite sure how to describe it.

"It did happen, but Jarvis didn't have any problems because of it."

"This might be an anomaly in the universe. The details are a bit different. If we have time, we can talk about it properly next time," Tony said with a smile.

"This Jarvis backup is Morgan's assistant; Jarvis knows all her preferences."

"You can also give him to me in another universe; whether he uses him or not is up to him."

"Okay." Lin Yi nodded, stepped forward to close the box, and then threw it all into his alternate dimension.

Tony's eyes showed a hint of envy. "To be honest, sometimes I'm quite envious of you guys who can use magic."

"But our Strange here wouldn't know how to do that..."

"Never mind that. Since you're so resourceful, pack these in too. Morgan's things are in here..." Tony pulled over two more suitcases.

Well, this is less than Lin Yi had imagined. He had thought his father would cram the entire lakeside cabin into it when he heard about Morgan's offering.

After putting everything into the alternate dimension, Lin Yi looked at Tony, as if he wanted to say something.

The atmosphere suddenly fell silent.

Both of them seemed to have something to say, but at the same time, they seemed to have nothing to say.

From the next room, the faint sounds of Spider-Man and Morgan's laughter drifted over from time to time. Tony stared blankly for a while.

Lin Yi understood. The old father hadn't adjusted his mindset yet. After all, he had raised his daughter for seven years, and his feelings were probably incredibly complicated.

He was right; Tony was indeed in that state right now.

He wanted to explain some of Morgan's habits to Lin Yi, but felt that Jarvis's backup already recorded them, so there was no need to repeat them.

He wanted to tell Lin Yi to protect Morgan, but then he felt that as a father, it was useless for his daughter to seek refuge in other universes.

I wanted to ask Lin Yi's other self in another universe if he would treat Morgan well, but then I felt like I was being a bit pretentious.

Yesterday he said he believed in another version of himself in another universe, but that's what makes human emotions so special.

I may believe it, but I may also worry about it.

Finally, after twitching his cheeks for a long time, he managed to utter a sigh, unable to say anything.

"Take good care of Morgan..." Tony patted Lin Yi on the shoulder, his tone soft, with a hint of helplessness and a plea.

Lin Yi gave a solemn "hmm," making his promise to Tony in another universe: "I will, don't worry."

"Okay..." Tony quickly lowered his head, trying to hide his emotions, then smiled again and walked towards the door first.

"Let's go. I can stay with you a little longer. Morgan said she wants to bring some gifts to another world."

Morgan said this morning that she wanted to bring some gifts for her dad and mommy in another universe, which made Tony very jealous.

Morgan hadn't given him any gifts much.

But this isn't an unreasonable request, is it? At least the old man can go shopping with her one more time.

The group gathered and headed straight for the shopping area.

They said they were going to prepare gifts, but it really just meant going to buy some things.

Lin Yi felt this was a bit unnecessary. Wouldn't it be the same to just buy it from their universe? The brands might be different, but the products would be pretty much the same, right?

Moreover, the little spider was also very excitedly picking out things, which Lin Yi said he couldn't quite understand.

"Mr. Lin Yi, what do you think I should buy?" Little Spider asked, counting on his fingers.

"Let's give some to Aunt May, Mr. Stark, Miss Pepper, Morgan, and the Ancient One as well."

"Oh, and..."

"Alright, alright, stop counting." Lin Yi interrupted Peter with a headache.

"I don't know about the others, but as for Morgan, our interests should overlap. Why don't you ask Morgan here?"

"As for the Ancient One... I don't know why you gave her something." Lin Yi's eyes darted around, and he chuckled.

"But I think, how about you buy some shampoo?"

"Shampoo?" Peter hesitated for a moment. "Will it work?"

"What's wrong with that? Weren't you wondering before whether she uses shampoo when she washes her hair?"

"Never mind her, just buy it! It's a gift, she's not going to yell at you!"

"...That makes sense!" Peter was convinced.

After getting rid of the little spider, Lin Yi turned around and found Morgan choosing an electric shaver.

Oh? This is a gift for another daddy? They really are father and daughter. Morgan here already knows that her father cares a lot about his appearance.

"Hey, you know a thing or two, Morgan." Lin Yi chuckled and leaned closer.

"Your daddy is very image-conscious; he'll definitely love this!"

Morgan looked at the two electric shavers in his hand, somewhat conflicted. Hearing Lin Yi's voice, he shook his head without turning his head.

"No, I bought this for myself!"

ha?

Lin Yi leaned back, completely bewildered by what he had just heard.

"No, did you say something wrong or did I mishear you? You want to buy yourself an electric shaver?" Lin Yi picked at his ear.

"That's right! I'm buying it for myself!" Morgan put down one of the items, already having made up his mind.

"No, what are you going to do with this?" Looking at Morgan's smooth face, which had no beard, what did she want this thing for?

Morgan chuckled and raised the razor in his hand.

"High power, quiet operation!"

"I've made up my mind. If my daddy in another universe treats me badly, I'll shave his beard while he's sleeping at night!"

……

hiss!

What a filial daughter!

Lin Yi's lips twitched uncontrollably.

Is this to bring a little devil back to Tony?

But Lin Yi quickly realized what was happening.

Despite Morgan's sunny smile, this behavior proves that he is not as happy and calm as he appears.

Her worries about her daddy, her anxieties about the future, and her fear of another world were all hidden deep in her heart.

Lin Yi softened her tone and rubbed the fluffy little head: "Don't worry, I can assure you, your daddy in another universe will always cherish you."

Morgan nodded and hummed in agreement, then slapped Lin Yi's hand away: "Stop touching my hair, it's ruining my hairstyle!"

...a naughty child.

He even thought that if Tony really didn't like her, he would take care of Morgan himself... although that possibility was almost nonexistent.
