Zombie Marvel? Luckily, I'm Superman!

Chapter 4 Getting Ready to Depart, I Have a Question!

Tony drove his car, which had gone around several times, toward the Avengers headquarters. Lin Yi sat in the passenger seat, somewhat bored, fiddling with the reactor in his hand.

"Are you sure you've thought this through? Do you really want to get involved?" Tony asked in a deep voice.

"This is not a game, and there are no protective measures in place. We are about to face unknown dangers."

"Time travel, reassembling the Infinity Stones—I can't even begin to calculate the risks involved..."

Lin Yi lowered the car window slightly, interrupting Tony's nagging: "Are you getting dementia? Didn't you just ask me once? I just don't want to see little Morgan lose his unreliable daddy at such a young age~"

Despite saying that, a hint of excitement and deep thought was hidden deep in Lin Yi's eyes.

The prospect of participating in the movie's plot, and even experiencing time travel for the first time, was exciting for him.

Lin Yi never forgot the mystery of his origins. He had a vague feeling that this universe did not entirely follow the "plot" he remembered.

The media storm targeting the Avengers a couple of years ago, and the missile attack on the cabin later, were not mentioned in the story.

If public opinion is a minor matter, then surely the attack that nearly killed Morgan and Pepper shouldn't be left unmentioned? After all, if he hadn't happened to be nearby, the consequences would have been unimaginable.

Lin Yi had considered the mystery of the time travel over the past five years, but the reason he hadn't taken any action or investigated was because he needed time to develop and acquire sufficient abilities.

Now that my abilities have begun to show, and after five years of trying to remain an outsider, it's time to do something.

Recalling Lin Yi's incredible abilities, Tony nodded in deep agreement.

"Indeed, your physical data makes me suspect you're an alien."

"If it were five years ago... never mind, let's not talk about that. I think I can see Steve's unhappy face."

As they talked, the car drove into the Avengers base, where Steve stood looking dejected.

laugh……

The car came to a smooth stop in front of the door.

Steve looked speechlessly at the rear of his car...

After a brief silence, the car shifted into reverse and rolled back a little.

The car window rolled down, Tony lifted his sunglasses, and raised his chin.

"Let me guess, did Scott Lang wet his pants?"

Steve nodded helplessly. Tony was right; their experiment had completely failed. Scott Lang hadn't traveled through time; rather, time was traveling through Scott Lang's body.

"Anyway, I've got this thing sorted out—a fully functional time-travel navigation device." Tony opened the car door, holding up the simple metal bracelet in his hand with a hint of pride.

Steve's eyes lit up.

Lin Yi rested his chin on his hand as he watched Tony and Steve make peace, and then returned the shield that had witnessed the rise and fall of an era to Steve's hands.

Seeing it live is much more interesting than watching it in the movie.

"Oh right!" After the two men rekindled their friendship, Tony remembered Lin Yi.

"I brought an assistant with me this time, Lin Yi. You met him at the cabin last time."

Lin Yi got out of the car and extended his hand: "Hello, Captain, my name is Lin Yi."

Steve hadn't noticed anything special about Lin Yi last time; in his mind, he was just a young man living in Tony's Woods.

But that didn't stop him from being polite; he immediately extended his hand and said, "Hello, Steve Rogers, thank you for your willingness to help us."

Steve trembled almost imperceptibly as they shook hands.

Years of combat experience and intuition triggered a frantic warning the moment he came into contact with Lin Yi.

Steve withdrew his hand without making a sound, gave Lin Yi another serious look, and then turned to the side. "Let's go inside and talk..."

Inside the base, only Natasha, Banner, and Scott Lang were present.

The news Tony brought undoubtedly solved the most difficult part of the hope of restarting.

After discussion, a series of plans were outlined. Lin Yi, meanwhile, remained on the sidelines, sipping tea and watching this familiar "movie."

Time flew by, and Thor, sporting a huge beer belly, was found by Hulk and Rocket. Natasha went to Japan and retrieved Hawkeye. And then there's Smurfette…

When Lin Yi saw the nebula and the rocket, he couldn't help but take a second look, after all, it was the first time he had ever seen aliens in person.

With the time travel navigation device continuously improved and the time travel platform device rapidly constructed, after Hawkeye successfully completed the time travel experiment and obtained the baseball glove, the entire plan entered the final stage before implementation—determining the time and location of the time travel.

Everyone gathered together, and information about the Infinity Stones was displayed on a screen not far away.

The location and time of each gemstone's appearance were traced and confirmed.

Once everything was in place, everyone stood in front of the screen, looking at the team information.

"Six Infinity Stones, three teams, one chance!" Steve stared intently at the Infinity Stones on the screen, his tone extremely solemn and serious.

Then, his sharp gaze swept over everyone: "Finally, does anyone have a question?!"

No one spoke, but the spark of hope had already been ignited, and they seemed to see everything return to five years ago.

Hawkeye Clint and Natasha locked eyes, their gazes filled with excitement.

Rocket gripped his weapon tightly, his mind filled with images of Groot.

Thor gripped his axe even tighter. He felt more excited than anyone else. Heaven knows how long he had been tormented by the regret of not being able to chop Thanos's head off the first time!

However, just as everyone was in high spirits and ready to take action, an untimely voice rang out.

"Um, I have a question." Lin Yi, who had been playing the role of a transparent person and "inspecting the work" all day, jumped out.

Suddenly, everyone's eyes were drawn to Lin Yi.

Lin Yi "choked" his surging emotions.

Thor, his face flushed red from being interrupted, took a step forward unhappily.

"What's your name again? Kid, do you even understand what we're talking about?"

"Tony, where did you find this 'assistant' who does absolutely nothing all day?"

He had long been dissatisfied with Lin Yi, who spent his days wandering around eating and drinking without doing anything. Tony said he was there to help, but look at what kind of help he actually did.

Tony was stunned for a moment before slapping his forehead.

Because not everyone was present at the time, when introducing Lin Yi, I only mentioned that he was an assistant, intending to introduce him again once everyone was there. However, I forgot about it in the midst of being busy.

He immediately stepped forward and walked between the crowd and Lin Yi.

"I didn't explain my problem clearly."

"Lin Yi is my neighbor who lives in that grove of trees."

"He did come to help, he..." Tony clicked his tongue, seemingly choosing his words carefully, also wondering what Lin Yi's problem was and why he hadn't mentioned it beforehand.
