Chapter 312 Speak Your Mind

After realizing what Lin Yi meant, the others couldn't help but laugh.

Tony slapped his thigh with a laugh, "That nickname is perfect!"

"I guarantee that Captain will love this nickname, Little Mouth is all sweet talk."

Just think about the words Steve usually says; they're always so sweet.

After laughing for a while, Tony explained to Lin Yi.

"Unfortunately, Steve 2 chose to challenge Captain Shi... Little Mouth Honey. He should arrive a little later if he doesn't collapse."

By the way, I explained the meaning of the number after Lin Yi's name to him again.

As they spoke, the grilled food was served one after another.

Various styles of grilled meat and fish were served, along with vegetable salads and fruits.

Lin Yi took a few skewers; they tasted pretty good. Well, if someone couldn't cook well, they probably wouldn't have been hired by Tony.

The atmosphere gradually warmed up. Clint, holding a plate, was talking to Banner about something. Natasha was staring at a wine bottle, seemingly studying something.

Tony even took off his coat and started grilling the meat himself.

Rongrong was eating with great gusto, while Cat Sister was wiping her mouth, a sight that left Lin Yi somewhat speechless.

Eli sat opposite Lin Yi, silently munching on roasted vegetables, looking very relaxed.

Laughter and chatter mingled with the sizzling of barbecue, echoing around the lake.

At one point, Tony subtly winked at Natasha.

Natasha nodded almost imperceptibly. A moment later, she walked towards Lin Yi with a smile, holding a wine glass.

"Mr. Lin, I heard you're from the Marvel Universe?"

Lin Yi paused in his skewer-eating, then looked up and glanced at Natasha.

When he first arrived, Lin Yi didn't pay much attention. He barely spoke to Natasha in the Marvel Universe, so he didn't really care.

Now that he'd gotten closer, Natasha appeared considerably younger than in his own universe, but that was only in appearance. Lin Yi had no idea how long she'd lived in the dimensional gap world.

"Yes, that's right." Lin Yi responded, his reaction neither warm nor cold, polite yet clearly indicating that he didn't want to talk any further.

Natasha had met countless people with vastly different personalities, and she immediately understood what Lin Yi meant.

At this point, a sensible person would have exchanged a few polite words and left quickly, but she wouldn't give up so easily.

"Could you tell me what time period your universe was in before you came here? I'm very curious," Natasha said, a hint of curiosity subtly appearing on her face.

"You know, there are many highly similar time trajectories between the multiverses. Maybe we can even talk about what will happen in the future of the multiverse and help you better avoid some things."

With just two simple sentences, Natasha put herself in Natasha's shoes, putting herself in Natasha's shoes.

This tactic works well in many situations because it seems to be helping you plan for benefits and the future.

But even if Lin Yi hadn't noticed the exchange of glances between Tony and Natasha, he would have immediately figured out Natasha's intentions.

Setting down the meat skewers, Lin Yi looked at Natasha, who was all smiles, and said, "There's probably not much to say. The similarity between our universes is probably very low."

"You in my universe are now walking a path that few have walked before with Tony."

He thought of Tony and Natasha in his own universe, and Clint and the others. He wondered where they were now, what they were going through, and whether Type II of the drug had achieved stable mass production.

Lin Yi's momentary lapse in concentration was noticed by Natasha.

She gently swirled the wine glass in her hand and replied, "Oh? That makes me even more curious."

"This world contains characters from almost every timeline of the multiverse; perhaps you can get more help here?"

Lin Yi paused for a few seconds, then picked up the skewers again: "No need. The unknown future is more interesting, isn't it?"

Natasha's eyes flickered, and she nodded meaningfully: "Indeed, it would be more interesting, but..."

"It's also more dangerous."

Lin Yi didn't reply, but took a bite of the kebab, making her attitude very clear: she didn't want to talk any further.

"Indeed, I am very curious about Natasha's interesting and dangerous adventures in the past," Cat Sister's voice interrupted.

A pair of cat ears were placed between the two of them.

"If it's convenient for Miss Natasha, could you tell me about it?"

Although she was taking care of Rongrong, Cat Sister's attention was always on this.

She realized that Lin Yi didn't want to deal with it, so she immediately stepped in to stir things up.

Natasha glanced at Lin Yi, then at Sister Cat, her smile unchanged.

"Of course, I'm also curious about some of the experiences of the renowned Miss Dolores. Perhaps we'll have some common topics to discuss."

Sister Cat smiled, and her cat ears twitched.

"That would be great! It's a bit noisy here, how about we go over there to talk?"

She pointed to the tables and chairs by the lake, which were on the edge of the barbecue party, away from the center. But being by the lake, the environment was still very nice.

Natasha smiled and agreed, and the two walked towards the lake one after the other.

As Natasha passed Tony, she gave him a look.

She did her best, but there was nothing she could do.

Tony pursed his lips, let the chef take over the half-cooked barbecue, sat down in the chair, and touched a skewer, switching from his left hand to his right.

I didn't know if it tasted good after taking a bite, because my mind wasn't on the skewers at all.

After finishing the barbecue in a few bites, Tony stood up abruptly, grabbed two more huge skewers from the grill, strode over to Lin Yi, and plopped down next to him.

Lin Yi had stopped eating and was now lying in a chair, looking up at the sky. In the simulated night sky, the stars twinkled.

Sensing Tony sit down, Lin Yi didn't turn his head, and said in a somewhat lazy tone, "Couldn't hold it in anymore?"

Tony sighed. "You're really direct."

"Otherwise what? Why don't you just ask your questions directly? Why do you need Natasha to probe indirectly?"

...Fuck, that's what Tony really wanted to say right now.

Tony's embarrassment amused Lin Yi.

Tony glanced at Natasha and Dolores by the lake. Both of them were top-notch actors, relaxed, smiling, and chatting about something with great interest.

"It seems that some things are not as I thought. I originally thought that you and those Avengers in your universe should have a good relationship."

"You're wrong. I've barely spoken a few words to anyone else." Lin Yi shifted his posture, sitting up a little straighter, and turned his gaze from the sky to the calm lake.
