Chapter 109 Traveling to the Past, Waiting for a Rabbit to Run into a Tree Stump

They restarted the magic array but did not show themselves or leave a trace, so as not to allow Lin Yi to track them down.

The problem now is that Lin Yi cannot possibly search the entire universe for them through his senses, especially since the Celestial Venerable mentioned that they seem to have a special way of hiding their tracks.

Sensing the entire universe bit by bit? It seems like a feasible method, but it's like looking for a needle in a haystack. It would consume a lot of time and energy, and there's no guarantee of finding anything.

So...

Lin Yi took something out of the alternate dimension; it was a teleporter from the Time Management Bureau.

He had an idea: to go back to the past of this universe.

Go back 732 years to the point in time when those two entities first appeared in this universe, and wait for them at the coordinates mentioned by the Grandmaster.

He knew that time travel would create branches in the timeline, but the Time Management Bureau existed to resolve unstable time branches and characters that affected the sacred timeline. Therefore, the teleporters they used had different teleportation methods and operating mechanisms than those used for quantum realm travel.

In addition, Lin Yi himself is absolutely unique, so if he does not make any large-scale changes to history, the emergence of timeline branches can be avoided.

He didn't intend to deal with the two entities in the past, as that would inevitably cause a branch in the timeline. He only needed to find out their origins and purposes, locate them through certain means, and then he could travel back to the present to pinpoint their location.

Resolving them now is the best option.

Lin Yi glanced at the teleporter in his hand and set the coordinates according to what the Celestial Venerable had told him.

[Time travel protocol loading, please confirm the travel coordinates for the final step.]

A notification popped up on the teleporter. Lin Yi looked up at the sky, took one last look at the universe, and then pressed the start button.

The teleporter hummed, and an orange portal opened in front of us.

Lin Yi stepped in.

The light door closes.

The Time Administration Bureau's teleporter was very stable. This wasn't Lin Yi's first experience with it, and it was far safer and more convenient than traveling through the quantum realm.

Stepping out of the portal, Lin Yi appeared in deep space.

Before me lay endless darkness, with scattered starlight in the distance. This was the Alpha Fan Galaxy that the Grand High Priest had spoken of.

Lin Yi glanced at the time; the teleportation time he had set was several hours earlier than what the Celestial Venerable had said.

He found a relatively large fragment of a planet, landed on it, and then suppressed all energy fluctuations, enveloping himself in a bio-field to minimize his presence.

In this state, Lin Yi himself was unaware of his own presence.

Time passed second by second. There is no day or night in the deep universe, but the teleporter can display the standard time of various galaxies.

One hour, two hours, and soon, ten hours passed, and the galaxy remained silent. No abnormalities were detected by Lin Yi.

A day, then two, passed, and Lin Yi's face darkened. Was the time difference the Celestial Venerable had given him too large? Two whole days had passed and there was still no movement?

Is he lying to himself? Unlikely, unless he's out of his mind, because he can always go back and open a hole in his universe.

Just as Lin Yi was filled with doubt, a point of light suddenly appeared in his perception.

Lin Yi suddenly opened his eyes, his super vision piercing through the void to look in the direction where the light appeared.

He deliberately avoided looking directly at the light spot, instead looking at the surrounding environment where the light spot appeared, so as not to be noticed.

A point of light appeared on a planet inhabited by life.

This galaxy has more than three hundred planets inhabited by life-bearing species.

The main race on the planet where the light appeared is...

Lin Yi was stunned for a moment, looking at the familiar big tail, and exclaimed in his heart, "Holy crap!"

It has whiskers on the sides of its face and a tail behind it—isn't this a salamander?!

Before Lin Yi could think further, the point of light rapidly spun and expanded on the planet of the Qi Yuan Clan, and then "spit out" two figures.

Lin Yi's eyes narrowed, and out of the corner of his eye, he saw a Celestial being who looked exactly like the clone he had fought before!

The other one was shrouded in black mist and was much smaller than the Celestials.

Needless to say, given this level of concentration, both figures were directly visible. However, Lin Yi couldn't discern the nature of the one in the black mist; he couldn't deliberately try to see through it lest he attract their attention.

Lin Yi tried hard to suppress his strong urge to act, keeping an eye on what they were up to out of the corner of his eye.

After the Celestials and the Black Mist appeared, they looked around, and then a transparent wave rapidly spread out into the universe as they sensed it.

After realizing that nothing was amiss, the two took to the air and flew over the planet of the Qi Salamanders, eventually reaching a large settlement of the Qi Salamanders.

Upon seeing the two figures, the colorful salamanders immediately knelt down and worshipped, speaking in a devout tone.

Lin Yi's ears twitched as he caught the information. Using the Qi Yuan tribe's language that he had previously learned, he was able to understand it completely.

They were worshipping, worshipping the god who created life...

Hiss... Lin Yi's expression turned strange.

Why would the Qi Salamanders have this belief? Were the Qi Salamanders created by the Celestials?

Thinking of the experiments the Celestial Race had conducted in the past, Lin Yi felt that this was possible.

The Celestials and the Black Mist did not speak, but turned and drifted towards the largest and most conspicuous cave in the settlement.

There was nothing in the cave except for a door that was flashing.

The Celestial Clan member reached out and touched the door, seemingly to check its status. After a long while, he nodded at the black mist.

The two figures gradually disappeared, and Lin Yi just watched them vanish without making any move.

However, after disappearing, Lin Yi looked at the teleporter in his hand.

Looking at the two anchor points on the teleporter, Lin Yi thought to himself, "It's done."

That's right, this was the tracking method he ultimately chose: scanning the insertion point through the Time Bureau's teleporter. It's a normal and native Marvel Universe method, and the Time Bureau's teleporter exists in sync with the timeline, so it won't be easily detected by the Celestials and the Black Mist.

If you use your own special abilities to mark it, there's a high probability of problems.

Now, let's see how they run away. As long as we go back seven hundred years, Lin Yi can immediately locate and lock onto the two of them through the anchor point. Even if they run to other universes, it won't matter.

Wait a minute.

Lin Yi's smile vanished as he looked at the teleporter in his hand, suddenly realizing something.

If he remembers correctly, the Time Management Bureau seems to only know where these two entities are located.

He then locked onto the two entities in sight by scanning with a teleporter and inserting anchor points.

They don't know where the other visual entities are. Is it because there are no scanning interpolation points?

Damn it, the reason the Time Management Bureau knows about these two is probably because of my time travel back in time and the scanning and insertion points, right?
