Dark Wizard: Rise! My undead army!

After a slight dizziness subsided, Lynn found himself standing inside the walls of a small outpost built of rough black stones and huge skeletons.

The air was filled with a more primal, negative energy than the interior of the academy, mixed with the smell of dust and decay.

This is "Crow Outpost".

The outpost was small, with a campfire in the center emitting a ghastly green flame, providing a faint light and dispelling the deep chill.

Scattered around were some simple stalls and sheds, where apprentices dressed in various ways traded, rested, and formed teams.

The stalls sold a wide variety of items, including various specialty materials from the Eternal Night Graveyard, low-level undead creatures, crudely made weapons and armor, and rudimentary potions and supplies.

However, the supplies sold here are a bit more expensive than those inside the academy.

After all, the academy is quite far away, and if the mission is not completed, it will take a considerable amount of time to return to the academy for supplies.

Lynn's appearance had been disguised by the [Mimicry] spell, and he looked like an ordinary gray-robed apprentice.

The nameplate on his body was put away, but the aura he exuded was that of a third-class apprentice.

Demonstrating strong capabilities can reduce a lot of unnecessary trouble.

He quickly scanned the area but didn't find any familiar faces or obvious hostile stares.

Lynn didn't linger at the outpost or replenish his supplies at the stalls; he simply walked away.

He turned down some apprentices who surrounded him asking to team up, and walked out through a small door on the side of the outpost, stepping into the real wilderness of the Eternal Night Graveyard.

Under the dim, lightless sky, the desolate land was covered with jagged rocks and twisted, withered trees, and in the distance came the faint howls of unknown undead creatures.

The wind, carrying a biting chill and wild particles of negative energy, blows by. Most people would be completely eroded and killed by the negative energy after being exposed to it a few times.

Lynn determined the direction, activated the [Corpse Disguise] effect to its maximum, and simultaneously scanned the surroundings with [Mental Vision].

The Ring of the Dead flashed, and ten bone crows flew out of the ring, cawing as they rose into the gray sky, radiating outwards from Lynn and taking in the scenery within a three-kilometer radius.

I have no idea how this skeletal crow, made entirely of bone, could produce such a piercing cry.

Controlling the Bone Raven only requires a fraction of the mental energy of a normal level 1 undead, posing no challenge for Lynn.

Immediately afterwards, two of his most capable lieutenants appeared beside Lynn.

Wu Liuqi immediately slipped into the shadows behind Lynn to protect him closely.

The Death Knight, wielding a bone greatsword, stood before Lynn on his skeletal horse. Lynn immediately mounted the horse and rode alongside the Death Knight.

The remaining undead minions remained in the undead ring; their speed was too slow and would only hinder the journey.

With the aid of his mount, Lynn's figure quickly blended into the eternal wasteland, rapidly advancing towards the quest location, Howling Rift.

Hmm... I should get a mount sometime, otherwise it feels a bit ambiguous to always ride together with the Death Knight.

Throughout the journey, Lynn maintained [Undead Vision Sharing], monitoring everything around him.

The Eternal Cemetery is extremely large, like a complete plane of existence.

When apprentices go out on missions, they either have their own mounts or take the academy's "public transportation." Very few of them travel on foot.

By the time you get there, next month's assignment will probably be coming up, which will save you some trouble.

This place is home to a vast number of undead and bizarre creatures. Occasionally, undead of level 4 or higher, comparable to formal wizards, will appear, making it extremely dangerous for apprentices.

The fact that these powerful undead can remain unharmed around the "Bone Spire" academy suggests that they have some connection with the academy.

Some of them were large numbers of prisoners captured during interdimensional wars who were thrown into areas with high levels of negative energy and turned into undead.

Some were left to grow on their own in the Eternal Graveyard by the academy wizards.

Some of them were sent here after the wizards who controlled them died.

Others are primordial undead that originated from different planes and have lived in their own territories for generations.

They all abide by one agreement—they must not attack wizards and apprentices within the academy!

This is why the Eternal Cemetery became the Academy's "newbie zone," honing many of its apprentices.

During their journey, they encountered many scattered spirits.

Corpse-dead zombies, ghosts, bound spirits, bone dogs, bone rats, skeletal soldiers, putrid beetles...

Their levels range from lv1 to lv3, and most of them have only average combat power and very low potential.

Lynn used [Analysis] to select some relatively powerful level 3 undead to serve as temporary henchmen, and would replace them with better ones later.

This is also a major highlight of necromancers; as long as there are enough creatures, there will never be a shortage of undead minions.

They can catch them anywhere!

All the other undead that weren't worth considering were killed and devoured by the Death Knight and Wu Liuqi, while the valuable materials were thrown into the Undead Ring.

This feeling is no different from picking up magic stones.

After absorbing a large amount of soul fire, Wu Liuqi and the Death Knight's "spirituality" increased, making their battles even smoother.

Half a day later, the bone crows discovered their first valuable target.

Through the brood crows' vision, a nest was discovered on a cliff, where a large number of wild brood crows had gathered.

These bone crows usually prey on weaker, putrid beetles and bone rats, and perhaps living in this nest is an instinctive reaction from their previous lives.

If encountered in the wild, the bone crows could escape using their flying advantage, but now that they are concentrated in their nests, it gives Lynn the opportunity to catch them all in one fell swoop.

Lynn stopped three hundred meters away from the Bone Crow's nest and ordered two Bone Crows to enter the nest to gather information.

Soon, two bone crows flew inside.

The cave was located in the middle of the cliff. Through the bone crow's vision, Lynn saw densely packed gray-white figures and pale white soul fire.

The two jays began to scout around, one on the left and one on the right, and discovered at least forty wild jays.

Some of them were pecking at the putrid moss growing on the rock face, some were fighting over the remains of a few bone rats they had just caught, and many more were huddled together in the crevices of the rocks to rest, with faint embers flickering in their eye sockets.

Since it wasn't from his own perspective, he couldn't analyze it, but Lynn still noticed that two of the bone crows were different in shape from the ordinary bone crows.

One of them lived deep inside the cave. It was enormous, about twice the size of an ordinary bone crow, and was probably the leader.

The other bone crow was one-third larger than its kind, but its body and soul fire were a rare pale blue, and a layer of frost had condensed on its body surface, clearly indicating some kind of mutation.

This piqued Lynn's interest.

Wow... a double yolk egg!

The fact that there are two top-tier pets, Crouching Dragon and Phoenix Chick, in a cave shows that the probability of finding top-tier pets among the undead is quite high!
