Dark Wizard: Rise! My undead army!

Chapter 504 Divine Illusion

Seeing that the kings were so sensible, Lynn did not withdraw his divine power.

Since we're already here, we might as well take this opportunity to continue demonstrating miracles and consolidate faith.

The power of faith began to burn, and golden light surged from the body of "All Things," flowing in all directions like water.

It flows to every city, every street, and the eyes peeping behind every window.

The power of faith condensed into countless projections in the air, some landing in the capital, some in the main city, some in the border cities, and some in the towns that had not yet been reached by the dragon legion.

The projections were transparent and suspended in mid-air, like giant mirrors. The mirrors reflected Lynn's figure, as well as the dragons and angels circling behind him.

This is a synchronized scene, with the same content being projected over every town.

Residents in various towns all looked up in horror at the screen, witnessing this unbelievable scene.

This was a sight they had never seen in their entire lives.

When the projection appeared above the first city, all the sounds in the city stopped.

Pedestrians on the street stopped walking, vendors at the alley entrance stopped what they were doing, and several women who were chatting by the well also stopped talking and turned to look at the sky.

The semi-transparent image floated in mid-air, its edges glowing faintly, like a mirror placed at an angle.

In the mirror, the figure stood indifferently atop the giant dragon's head, with one giant dragon after another behind him, their wings outstretched, blocking the light at the edges of the image.

Beside the dragon floated some winged figures, some with black and white wings and others with gray wings, hovering in mid-air like a row of sculptures fixed in the picture.

Most of the residents did not recognize the dragon, let alone the angels.

The dragon and angel were so powerful and majestic that one could almost feel their overwhelming aura through the screen.

Faced with this horrific scene, most residents instinctively lay prone on the ground.

This is a fear stemming from the instinct for survival, the fear of the inferior towards the apex predator.

The stage is set up; all that's left is the performance—to portray the image of a great deity.

Lynn raised his right hand, and golden light surged from his palm, falling from the sky and coalescing into a huge phantom.

It was a palace made of light, with a very high dome. Countless angels flew in the palace, their wings flapping and scattering golden light.

A hymn came from the phantom, rising simultaneously from all directions, as if many people were singing at the same time. There were no lyrics, only an elegant melody.

The melody was very light, like the wind blowing through a wheat field, or like water flowing over stones.

The tense expressions on the faces of those kneeling in the square relaxed as they listened to the song.

Some people's eyes welled up with tears, as if they were recalling their happy childhood.

Some people closed their eyes, their breathing slowed, as if they had fallen asleep to the sound of singing.

Some people went from kneeling to sitting slumped, as if the song had drained their strength, or as if the song had soothed something.

The singing lasted for about ten breaths before slowly fading away.

The phantom palace and angels vanished, and the sky returned to its greyish-white hue.

But this sacred moment will be etched in everyone's mind and will never be forgotten.

Lynn in the projection spoke.

His voice traveled across the boundaries of those projections, landing on the streets of every city, in every alley, and behind every window.

"I am the ruler of this world—the supreme god N'Zoth!"

"The earth beneath your feet, the sky above your heads, and the boundless ocean all belong to me!"

"Those who believe in me will find rest for their souls, protection for their bodies, and after death, entry into the Kingdom of God, where they will enjoy eternal peace."

"Those who do not believe in me also have the right to live, but eternity has nothing to do with you. After death, you will return to nothingness, and no one will remember you or mourn you."

Lynn paused for a moment.

The square was quiet, with only the sound of the wind whistling through the rooftops.

Lynn in the projection spoke again.

"I will not force you. If you need shelter, peace, or a path to eternity—I am here."

On the street below the projection, upon hearing the "divine pronouncement" of the great god, some people immediately knelt down.

The first person to kneel down was an old woman, her silver hair swaying in the wind, her knees striking the stone slab with a dull thud.

Her lips were moving, reciting the words she had just heard.

"The Supreme God N'Zoth..."

The second person to kneel was a mercenary wearing old leather armor. He loosened his grip on the hilt of his sword, letting it rest against the wall, and then bent over and knelt down, pressing his forehead against the crack in the stone slab.

The third person to kneel down was a bakery owner. He was standing at the door with flour still stuck to his apron.

More people knelt down. Some knelt down, looked up again to confirm that the projection was still there, and then lowered their heads again.

But some people did not kneel.

A middle-aged monk in a gray robe stood at the entrance of the alley, looking up at the projection.

Looking at the person standing on the back of the dragon in the projection, his brows furrowed and his fingers clenched in his sleeves.

"God? There are no gods in this world anymore. Nine out of ten people who claim to be gods are liars, and the remaining one is a madman."

Several people nearby heard it.

One of the young warriors, wearing chainmail, spoke up, his voice carrying a domineering air.

"Those phantoms, those dragons, are all spells. They use spells to pretend to be gods and fool ordinary people who know nothing. I've seen this kind of trick many times."

An elderly blacksmith standing nearby, holding a hammer, also nodded.

"I've seen orc shamans in the North. They can also summon illusions and change the color of the sky. No matter how big this person's magic is, it's just a bigger illusion."

Lynn knew that these things alone would not be enough to convince everyone. His gaze swept over the kneeling people and over the standing people.

He showed no anger, no disappointment, and no eagerness to prove anything.

My own methods are far more powerful and diverse than those so-called gods. If I am not a "god", then who can be called a "god"?

It's worthwhile to expend some spiritual energy as an initial investment to spread the faith.

Lynn raised his hand and pointed to the sky.

The sky cracked open, and a golden light poured out from the crack, its warm glow like the midday sun shining through thin clouds onto the earth.

The light fell on the projections, and the edges of the projections began to glow. The light spread from the edges to the center, coating the translucent images with a golden outline.

Residents of various cities saw Lynn raise his right hand in the projection and point downwards.

Golden light fell from the sky, onto the square, onto the streets, and onto everyone.

Those kneeling people were illuminated by the light, and their bodies immediately warmed up, their eyes brightened, and their breathing quickened.

Those who were standing also received the blessing, and the gray-robed mage, sensing the divine power within, relaxed his brow slightly.

This method is truly unbelievable; perhaps this so-called god really does have something special about him.

The chainmail warrior raised his hand to shield his eyes, and only after sensing that the light posed no harm did he lower his arm.

The light penetrated the skin, seeped into the bones, and flowed into the blood vessels.

Those who were kneeling felt lighter; their knees no longer hurt, their backs were no longer sore, and the old wounds on their wrists seemed to have been smoothed out by something.

This single act alone caused most people to exclaim "miracle" and quickly establish faith in their hearts.
