Dark Wizard: Rise! My undead army!
Is Chapter 402 still on the Path of Myriad Phenomena?
(Thanks again to "Black Armor of Cloud Sea City" for the [Master Certification] x2, here's another chapter for the master! I'm exhausted...)
The experimental area of the Spire of Bones.
Gregor was standing in front of the control panel, holding a wriggling tumor in his hands.
Now, thanks to previous successes, the "Death Blossom" project has made great strides, with perfect alternatives available for "Little Stone" and "Mist Spirit" in the Trinity.
Only the most crucial "Starry Sky Beast Heart" remains a mystery.
That thing is the key to transformation; it's a "universal heart pump" with infinite energy and a "panacea" that harmonizes all things.
Gregor had attempted to modify the hearts of some Void creatures in an effort to create an "artificial heart," but all his attempts failed.
This thing cannot be produced by humans at all.
Because there is no perfect substitute for the "Starry Sky Beast Heart", the project has to be temporarily shelved.
Unfortunately, the academy didn't have this thing. Gregor asked the academy for help in finding it and issued a mission to various wizarding factions, promising huge rewards, but he still had no clue.
The Starry Sky Beast is extremely rare; even wizards who conquer the heavens rarely encounter it, let alone have the ability to kill it.
Regretting the decision, Gregor first studied other projects.
He is currently researching a new undead fusion technology that requires combining three different undead cores to create a powerful "composite" undead.
The tumor throbbed in his palm, with fine blood vessels spreading across its surface, and the three undead cores inside were slowly merging under Gregor's control.
At this moment, the soul crystal plaque at his waist suddenly trembled. He freed one hand, picked up the plaque, and probed it with his spiritual power.
A moment later, his body froze.
The three energies within the tumor suddenly went berserk, exploding into powder with a "bang".
Gregor ignored it, staring blankly at the words on the nameplate, his eyes filled with disbelief.
Stigmata? Lynn?
That kid has become a Saintly Mark?
Could it be someone with the same name?
Gregor shook his head and looked at the line of text again carefully.
That's right, it's Lynn's name. The blatant title of "Lord of All Things" is undeniable, and it's an official announcement from the academy.
No... he became a Stigmata?
That shouldn't be the case. The path to enlightenment is so difficult; it would take at least several hundred or even a thousand years to succeed.
But how many years has Lynn been cultivating in total?
Not even twenty years!
In such a short time, it would be difficult enough to even comprehend a single rule, let alone achieve the Myriad Manifestations Sacred Mark.
Could it be that this kid abandoned the path of "All Things" and chose to achieve "Holy Marks" through one of the rules?
Gregor's feelings were mixed as he thought about this.
He felt both joy at his disciple's advancement to "Sacred Mark" and regret that he had not been able to persevere on the path of "All Things".
It seems I will never see the glorious sight of the Myriad Sacred Marks in my lifetime.
After a moment, Gregor finally understood.
Lynn is smarter than him. He knows that the Path of All Things is blocked, so he decisively changes his path. He's much better than him, a stubborn mule who's stubbornly sticking to his own way.
Alright, everyone has their own path to walk. Lynn has already taken that step, and I need to break through as soon as possible.
Otherwise, it would be quite embarrassing.
He even compared Lynn to that lecherous Field every day, using Lynn to motivate Field to train harder.
As a result, even his own mentor was outshone.
Life is truly unpredictable...
I wonder how Field will react when he hears the news.
Although he has stopped womanizing and has finally reached the level of a third-class apprentice, he is now tied down by his family and doesn't know when he will be able to advance to a full-fledged wizard.
Thinking of this, Gregor chuckled and took out his communication device to "forward" the news of Lynn's advancement to the Holy Mark to Field.
After turning off the communication device, Gregor felt inexplicably much better.
Indeed, good news should be shared!
After glancing once more at the "Announcement" on the plaque, Gregor glanced at the stigmata markings that were unique to Lynn displayed on it.
The mark was small, tucked away in a corner, its grayish-white light shifting between dark gold and bright gold.
He originally only wanted to take a look and remember the mark of this amazing disciple.
But after glancing at it once, his gaze was fixed on the mark and he couldn't look away.
Inside the circle, there seemed to be two fish, one black and one white, chasing each other, while the dark gold fish and the bright gold fish were touching head to tail.
His finger hovered above the screen, his eyes circling the two fish again and again.
He suddenly felt that the pattern was familiar, as if he had seen it somewhere before, but he couldn't remember where.
The pattern seemed unfamiliar, completely unlike anything Lynn would design.
He stared at it for a long time, something churning in his mind, about to burst forth.
But it just won't spray out.
He felt like he was about to grab something, but when he reached out, he grabbed nothing.
That feeling was very uncomfortable, like standing outside a warehouse full of treasures, with a transparent door so you could see what was inside, but you just couldn't get in.
That's disgusting!
Gregor took a deep breath, no longer looking directly at the mark, but leaning back in his chair, reliving the memory in his mind.
The image kept spinning in my mind, containing a strange charm.
Soon, the image disappeared from my mind.
He sat up straight again and glanced at the mark. The two fish were still spinning, eventually merging into a phantom.
He suddenly felt that the pattern suited Lynn perfectly; all things return to their origin, all laws return to one...
It suits his title of "Lord of All Things" very well.
He stared at it for a while longer, and that feeling of almost grasping something surged up again. His stomach was empty, and his mind was blank.
It seems I still don't fully understand the rules of "All Things".
Gregor sighed, and a thought suddenly came to mind.
Could it be... that kid Lynn really advanced to the "All Things" Stigmata?
Otherwise, how could one comprehend such profound "all phenomena" rules, and how could one condense this holy mark?
...
On the other end of the communication device, Field was standing on a street in an ordinary small town.
He was wearing an ordinary gray wizard's robe with the emblem of the Bone Spire Academy on it, but the collar was frayed.
He had a neatly trimmed mustache on his chin, which made him look quite masculine.
Behind him followed a girl who looked to be about fourteen or fifteen years old, wearing a light blue dress with mud on the hem.
Her cheeks were puffed out, and her lips were pressed into a thin line.
"Father, Leon is no poor boy!"
"You don't understand, he's different from others!" The girl's voice was loud, and passersby all turned to look.
"And...we truly love each other!"
