Chapter 368 Luna
Chapter 368 Luna
For Morris, the increase in the number of skeleton workers did not bring about a qualitative change, but undead creatures are always better the more the better.
The most direct benefit is that the amount of magic he can draw upon has increased significantly.
Unfortunately, he had limited energy and didn't have time to upgrade the skeleton workers to the next level.
There's no problem with the reserves of energy crystals.
Perhaps due to the recent depletion of too much interstitial energy, the skeleton workers' efficiency in crystallizing has halved. Fortunately, their previous reserves are sufficient to last for a year or two.
"Never mind, let's take it slow."
Morris left the ceremony room in a good mood and returned to the living room.
Kyle and Neville had arrived at this place sometime earlier and were sitting on the sofa with the canned food.
As Morris approached, he discovered they were playing wizard chess. The chessboard had been placed there by Fred and George, and after the game ended, the pieces would punish the loser by spraying indelible ink into their face.
Right now, Kyle and Neville have several black marks on their faces.
Clearly, the canned food's chess skills should not be underestimated.
It must be admitted that this silly cat is very talented in every aspect.
"You shouldn't play this game with Canned Food," Morris commented. "Canned Food is a black cat; black ink won't work on it."
Even if they are punished, it's unlikely anyone will notice.
Neville belatedly exclaimed, "You're right!"
Kyle shook his head. "I can't allow myself to lose to a cat."
Morris shrugged. "Then you guys continue."
Recently, Kyle and Canned Food have been spending a lot of time at the Ship in a Bottle on weekends, sometimes to practice magic, and sometimes just to kill time.
Morris naturally had no objection; he also needed a few test subjects to help him test his newly invented magic...
Ahem, I'm a tester.
"Would you like to play another round?" Kyle asked, looking up.
"No, I have to go out for a bit," Morris said, taking a sip of the warm water the champion had handed him. "Goodbye."
After leaving the ship in the bottle, Maurice headed towards the castle.
The weather was gloomy, with low-hanging dark clouds that looked like it could rain at any moment.
Occasionally, students would pass by on the road. Recently, the temperature had dropped sharply, and they had all put on heavy robes, hunching their necks and hurrying along.
Stepping into the castle, the cold wind is kept out, and warmth washes over you.
Maurice planned to talk to Snape about potions; his Felix Felicis brewing was nearing its final stages.
This is the most critical period; if anything goes wrong, nearly half a year's efforts will be wasted.
According to Snape, he had tried the potion and succeeded.
The difficulty of brewing Felix Felicis is undeniable; there are no more than two potions masters in the entire wizarding world who can successfully brew it, and Snape is one of them.
His advice was very important to Maurice.
While passing through a secluded corridor.
"Clatter!"
A dirty shoe suddenly fell from above and landed on the floor in front of Morris.
"?"
""
Morris looked up in confusion.
Whose prank is this?
However, there was nothing on top of it except for a crossbeam.
Just then, a voice came from the side: "Oh! Those are my shoes!"
Morris turned his head and saw a girl skipping towards him, holding a magazine in her hand.
"Can I take it with me?" the girl asked calmly.
"Of course," Morris said.
He had already recognized the child in front of him.
Luna Lovegood, a Ravenclaw student a year below him.
Luna is quite famous in Ravenclaw because of her eccentric personality; she's even known as "Lovegood the Mad Girl."
A malicious nickname.
Morris thought the nickname was quite distinctive, though whether he liked it or not was another matter.
Luna rolled up the magazine and stuffed it into her pocket. She bent down and changed the shoe into a completely different pair that didn't match the one she was wearing at all.
She stood up, stomped her foot, looked down, and seemed quite satisfied with the mixed-and-matched effect.
"So why are your shoes here?" Morris asked casually.
"I'd like to know too," Luna smiled slightly. "My things often end up in all sorts of places. But thankfully, I always manage to find them."
Morris nodded and said gently, "Alright, Lovegood, if you need help, you can come to me, or go to Kyle... Ah, your earrings are quite nice."
Luna tilted her head, and the carrot earring on her ear swayed.
"I will."
She finally nodded, then skipped away.
Morris watched her retreating figure and shook his head slightly.
In fact, he probably knew what had happened; Luna seemed to be in a "bullied" position in Ravenclaw and was often bullied.
However, since the other party did not ask for help, he decided not to meddle.
After all, everyone handles problems differently.
Just as he was about to leave, Luna suddenly turned back.
She ran over and handed Maurice the slightly curled magazine, her hair swaying slightly. "Take a look, it'll be interesting."
Before Morris could answer, Luna skipped away again.
He really is a strange person.
Morris glanced down at the magazine in his hand; the title was "Singing a Different Tune."
Instead of rushing to find Snape, Maurice went to the courtyard, sat on a rock, and flipped through a magazine in his hand.
The air in the courtyard was much colder than in the corridor, and it was damp and chilly.
In fact, Maurice knew about the magazine because it was very famous in the wizarding world, and its sales often surpassed those of the Daily Prophet.
"The Quibbler" is a magazine that publishes news about non-existent creatures and unconventional information, and it has a very wizarding style.
However, Morris didn't really like them, so he didn't buy them much.
The issue he held was an old magazine from a year ago.
A few minutes later, the rain suddenly started to fall in a light drizzle.
Morris got up to leave.
As he walked down the corridor, he met Harry.
Harry was leaning against the wall alone, not with Ron or Hermione. He was covering his head and looked very pained.
"Harry?" Maurice stopped in his tracks. "What's wrong?"
Harry looked up and seemed relieved when he saw who it was.
"Do me a favor," his voice was so weak it was almost inaudible, "take me to Mrs. Pomfrey."
Then, he closed his eyes, as if using up all his strength, and slowly sat down on the ground against the wall.
Morris crouched down and patted his face. "Harry?"
No response.
It looks like he's passed out.
Morris covered his forehead in exasperation.
What's going on here now?
