Primordial Era: Starting with the repair of Penglai Immortal Island
Chapter 12 One Golden Pill Swallowed
Nuwa created humans and they became saints; Taiqing spread the Dao and the human race achieved sainthood!
To be able to stay by his side and guide him, even if it's just leading an ox, is such a great opportunity and blessing!
This is a wonderful thing that countless creatures in the primordial world would kill for, and it just fell right into his lap!
Without a second thought, Huang Long's voice trembled with excitement: "It is my honor to be able to guide you."
Huang Long quickly stepped forward, his movements both cautious and hurried, his gaze falling on the gleaming silver-white nose ring on the ox's large nostril.
The nose ring was made of an unknown material and had distinctive patterns engraved on it.
"This is the Vajra Bracelet that smashed the Great Sage's head," Huanglong muttered to himself.
"This disciple will lead the ox to you now," he said, reaching out his hand and gently grasping the cool, smooth ring with great curiosity.
Qingniu looked at this guy who had no sense of boundaries and, without even asking if he wanted to, naturally took his hand!
Two puffs of white air shot out from his nostrils, and his two curved, black jade-like nostrils pointed slightly downwards!
Those two wide-open eyes were fixed on Huanglong's swaying hips.
With just a gentle nudge, this ignorant and boundless "little bug" can be sent flying hundreds of miles.
Just as the bull's horn was about to touch the yellow dragon—
Sitting on the back of an ox, seemingly dozing with his eyes closed, Taiqing Daozun had a slight smile on his lips.
From the wide sleeves of his robe, he extended a hand and gently, lightly, patted the broad back of the blue ox, as if dusting it off.
"Slap, slap, slap."
Three soft sounds, almost inaudible.
The blue ox shook its head unwillingly, snorted, and shook its big head, returning to its slow and sturdy appearance.
But those eyes remained fixed on Huanglong's back.
Huang Long was completely unaware, only feeling a sudden chill run down his spine.
Huang Long paused subconsciously, frowned, twisted his neck in confusion, and looked around.
"Oh, it must be because I was chased too hard by that giant beast, and my mind was exhausted. Plus, the lingering effects of the spatial freeze made me too excited and caused a hallucination." He quickly found an excuse for himself.
After all, with the Supreme Daoist Master Taiqing right beside him, what in this primordial world could possibly threaten him?
He even subconsciously tugged at the ring, pulling the blue ox forward.
With that thought, the chill dissipated.
Huanglong composed himself, straightened his back, and, holding the nose ring of the green ox, led Taiqing, stepping through the void, covering a thousand miles in a single step, to reach the edge of the human race's territory.
Huanglong also set foot on human territory again after thousands of years.
Huanglong transformed into a boy dressed in coarse linen clothes, leading a green ox that had concealed its divine power, and carrying Taiqing, who had a slightly celestial air about him, as they traversed mountains and rivers, traveling to various human tribes.
As he watched human tribes emerge, develop, and grow, and as several tribes suffered various natural disasters and beast calamities, Huanglong intervened to save the human race and help them rebuild their tribes.
On this day, they arrived at the largest, most powerful, and most prosperous tribe of the human race—the Suiren tribe.
The outer perimeter was enclosed by giant wooden structures, and squads of human warriors patrolled the area.
People come and go at the entrance to the tribe, where countless humans gather to barter for goods, already showing signs of civilization.
Huanglong and Taiqing looked at the bustling tribe and followed the crowd into the tribe.
On the central platform of the tribe, a huge fire burns eternally, its flames leaping and radiating a warm glow that envelops the entire tribe.
This is the place where Suirenshi "drilled wood to make fire," and it is the second sun of the human race.
Taiqing transformed into a kind-faced old man with gray hair and beard, dressed in old linen clothes, and settled down in the Suiren tribe as a "medicine master".
Soon, the reputation of the "traveling old doctor" spread.
That old doctor was highly skilled. He could often use just a few inconspicuous wild herbs or stones picked up from the stream, mix or grind them, and apply them to those bloody and mangled wounds to stop the bleeding and relieve the pain. He could even make deep wounds that exposed bone heal quickly.
Huanglong, under Taiqing's instruction, taught the human race how to identify, collect, and process some common herbs.
Time flowed silently through the bustling atmosphere of the Suiren tribe, like the ever-flowing stream, and several years passed in the blink of an eye.
On this day, watching the endless stream of humans coming to Taiqing for treatment of their injuries, Huanglong couldn't help but sigh, "Humans... although they were created by the Goddess Nuwa, born with Dao bodies and exceptional intelligence, are physically weak, inferior to the myriad races of the primordial world, and have no methods of cultivating the Great Dao, making survival difficult!"
He does not mean that.
Upon hearing Huanglong's words, Taiqing slowly raised his head. In his deep eyes, yin and yang seemed to flow, reflecting the birth, death, rise and fall of all living beings.
"Good," Taiqing said with a smile as he looked at Huanglong.
Taiqing didn't say anything more. He slowly closed his eyes, and an indescribable aura quietly emanated from his seemingly ordinary body.
It wasn't an overwhelming pressure, but rather the vast, profound, and all-encompassing essence of the "Tao."
Sunrise and sunset, the stars and constellations shift.
Taiqing sat there for a full three years.
When Taiqing opened his eyes again, two beams of clear light flashed past them, and an invisible Daoist aura suddenly spread out from him, like a boulder thrown into a calm lake, instantly permeating the entire Suiren clan.
At that moment, a figure appeared beside Huanglong and Taiqing; it was none other than Suiren, the first of the three ancestors of the human race.
Suirenshi looked at Huanglong and Taiqing in their original forms and clearly recognized Huanglong. He bowed respectfully to Huanglong and said excitedly, "Immortal Master, you have finally returned."
Huanglong nodded slightly to Suirenshi. He said, "You are now at the Great Luo Realm, there's no need for you to address me like that."
He then introduced Suirenshi, saying, "This is Taiqing Daozun, the most outstanding innate deity in the primordial world, and also the senior brother of Goddess Nuwa."
Suirenshi immediately bowed respectfully to Taiqing and said, "Greetings, Venerable Taiqing."
"No need for formalities. I observe that the human race lacks a method for cultivating the Great Dao. Therefore, I have specially created a method for cultivation for the human race. I will preach here in three days," Taiqing said to Suirenshi.
Suirenshi was extremely excited. Although he had the cultivation level of a Great Luo Golden Immortal, he had only raised it to that level through the merits of the Heavenly Dao and did not possess any offensive or magical abilities. He had always wanted to create a cultivation method suitable for the human race, but he had always been unable to succeed.
Three days later, in the center of the Suiren clan's tribe, a huge fire emitted a gentle light, and the flickering flames seemed to have a life of their own.
Led by Suiren, Ziyi, and Youchao, dozens of people sat around. Most of these people were hand-formed by Nuwa when she created humans, while the rest were the best-qualified people personally selected by Suiren from hundreds of human tribes.
"In cultivating the Great Dao, the human body is the furnace, the soul is the firewood, and heaven and earth are the craftsmen." Taiqing's calm voice rang out, yet it was like a great bell, each word clearly engraved on the minds of Suirenshi and others.
"Gather your essence and energy, refine essence into qi, refine qi into spirit, refine spirit to return to emptiness, refine emptiness to unite with the Dao, use divine fire to temper your body, remove impurities and retain purity, return to the origin... Form a golden elixir of the Great Dao within your body, and you will be able to understand the mysteries and the Great Dao will be within your reach."
As the last word fell, the light shone brightly in the Suiren tribe!
