Become a Homelander and a Marvel superstar

Chapter 277 You're such a braggart

Darkseid raised his head and looked into the endless deep space.

"That Earthling who killed the Kryptonians..." Darkseid smiled cruelly, "Don't let him die too quickly. I want to crush his hope with my own hands and let him experience what true despair is."

"Your will is the end of the universe." Desad knelt on the ground.

……

Let's turn our attention back to Earth, to the Metropolitan Plaza.

Cyborg Victor, his body billowing white smoke, pulled out the data probe, staggered back a few steps, and landed hard on his backside.

"I...I'm disconnecting," Cyborg said weakly. "Now...it's up to it."

All eyes were focused on Igor's enormous blue brain.

Ego's powerful tentacles have completely merged with the three Mother Boxes.

The three mother boxes, which had been emitting an ominous red glow, had gradually calmed down, their surfaces now shrouded in a soft, pale blue halo.

"Finish."

With a declaration from Igor, the dozens of blue tentacles slowly detached from the mother box.

"What...what did you do?" Barry Allen leaned closer, cautiously examining the boxes that had changed color.

"I removed the scorched earth environment transformation agreement from Apokolips and introduced the ecological environment parameters most suitable for carbon-based life."

Upon hearing this, everyone's eyes were filled with undisguised astonishment.

That's the Mother Box! A cosmic artifact that Superman and Cyborg could barely separate even with all their might, yet this brain-dead creature that appeared out of nowhere completely rewrote it in just a few minutes?

Batman Bruce stepped forward. He didn't ask what kind of creature Ego was; at this critical juncture, probing his ally's background was the most foolish thing to do.

"How big will the upheaval be?" Bruce asked, voicing his biggest concern. "How much impact will this energy release have on the Earth's surface? Do we need to immediately mobilize civilians around the world for emergency evacuation? They are currently in very weak condition and cannot withstand any drastic geological changes."

"Refuge?" Igor let out a distinct chuckle. "Mortals, your minds are too narrow."

"I've been terraforming planets for millions of years, so please don't question my expertise."

"The rhythm of every inch of soil, the breath of every plant, and the cycle of every drop of water are all within my precise calculations."

"In the vast universe, no one knows better than me how to shape a planet!"

"I will control the energy fluctuations to the perfect threshold. It won't trigger earthquakes or tsunamis. It will simply sweep across the world like a spring breeze."

His words shocked everyone once again.

"You... what exactly are you? You've lived for millions of years?" Barry exclaimed, his eyes wide.

Even the long-lived species like Mera and Amazon looked at Igor with a hint of awe.

Atlantis has a long history, but compared to this being that claims to have lived for millions of years, it is as immature as a single cell.

"Wow! Millions of years!"

Harley Quinn jumped out from behind Azu, not afraid at all, but bursting with curiosity. She moved closer to Ego, even reaching out her fingers to feel his texture.

"Mr. Candy! Where did you find this old relic? Who is this big, jelly-like-headed guy? He sounds pretty impressive!"

Everyone perked up their ears and turned their gazes to Azu. They were eager to know the origin of this mysterious brain and how Azu had tamed this being.

Azu smiled casually, reached out and gently patted Igor's cerebral cortex, as if patting a docile hunting dog.

"Him? His name is Igor."

"Originally, he was an ancient god from the depths of the universe. Because he had lived for too long, he developed some mental problems and liked to sow seeds all over the universe, attempting to assimilate the entire universe into a part of himself."

"Then one day, he came to my territory and did something bad, and I found out..."

Ah Zu shrugged, his tone flat and emotionless.

"I just gave him a beating. I beat him so badly that all he had left was this brain, and then he became obedient and became my subordinate."

"..."

The wind blew across the ruins of the square, stirring up a cloud of dust.

No one spoke.

Azu spoke these words with remarkable ease.

But those present felt as if they had been struck in the heart by a heavy hammer.

What does it mean to beat a god so badly that all that's left is his brain?!

That was a god who had lived for millions of years and could reshape planets at will!

In the mouth of this countryman, how could it be as easy as casually teaching a street thug who bought something for free a lesson?

Barry Allen felt like he was suffocating. The way he looked at Azu had changed from a powerful ally to an indescribable cosmic monster.

Everyone felt a chill run down their spines.

They previously thought it was outrageous enough that Azu could single-handedly defeat Superman. But now it seems they had far underestimated the strength of this man draped in the Stars and Stripes.

"Pfft!!"

A sudden burst of laughter shattered the suffocating atmosphere.

"Hahaha! Mr. Candy, you're such a braggart!" Harley patted Joe on the shoulder, laughing so hard she almost fell over. "Look at them, they seem to really believe it? Like complete idiots."

Harley's laughter seemed to give everyone a way out.

Barry the Flash chuckled dryly, "Haha...yes, Mr. Homelander is really funny. A master at livening up the atmosphere."

Yes, that's absurd.

How could anyone possibly beat a creature of that level so easily? Homelander must be joking, using American humor to ease the pre-battle tension.

However, Azu did not intend to explain further.

You can't talk about ice with a summer insect. Explaining the significance of gods to these natives who have never even left the solar system is a complete waste of breath.

Bruce Wayne shook his head slightly; he didn't smile.

As the world's greatest detective, he observed Ego's soul-deep obedience to Azu and the heartfelt confidence in Azu's eyes.

A voice deep inside him told him: He wasn't joking.

But since this man is on the side of humanity, the truth or falsehood no longer matters.

"Alright, hero. You have a unique sense of humor." Bruce steered the conversation back on track. "Now that it's safe, let's begin. This world is already riddled with holes; we can't wait."

Hearing Batman's words, Azu nodded slightly and said, "Although Ego assured me the modification process would be very gentle, Bruce, your concerns were valid."

"This is a cataclysmic change that concerns the fate of all humanity. Even without harm, a sudden upheaval can cause immense panic."

"Humanity has just experienced the apocalypse, and their nerves are extremely fragile. They need to know what happened, and they need to be prepared."

Bruce nodded in agreement. "So, what are you planning to do?"

"Harley!" Azu turned his head and snapped his fingers.

"Roger that, sir!"
