"We'll show those alien scum that Earthlings aren't lambs to the slaughter, but hunters with guns!"

"We'll talk about that later. Right now, we need to deal with the problems at hand."

Azu glanced at the clock on the wall.

"You will hold a White House press conference first thing tomorrow morning."

"Inform the world about this alien invasion crisis and order the evacuation of all residents around St. Charles, Missouri."

"Notifying them so quickly?" Ellis hesitated. "This will cause panic. Social order will be disrupted..."

"Panic stems from ignorance and helplessness," Azu said with a confident smile.

"But this time is different; I will be there."

"As long as I stand there, the people will see hope, not panic."

"They knew that Homelander would handle everything."

"Furthermore, I need your cooperation in announcing two new policies," Azu whispered in the president's ear.

Ellis's eyes widened instantly.

He's a Republican, and behind him stand countless large corporations and capitalists. The policies Azu is proposing are practically subverting their rules.

"This... Anthony, this will offend a lot of people." Ellis hesitated. "Those mad dogs on Wall Street will bombard my phone with calls..."

Azu turned his head, a red light flashing in his eyes, a contemptuous smile on his lips.

Ah Zu obediently took half a step back.

"That's a planet! And what the hell is that god?!"

"Who do you think you are? Superman? Okay, you might look like Superman, but what if you die there!"

"You expect me to collect your corpse? Hundreds of light-years away in space?"

"I won't die, Jessica." Azu reached out, wanting to touch her face.

The documents, pen holder, and computer on the table fell to the floor with a clatter.

He simply stood there, his upright figure and his Stars and Stripes uniform acting like a stabilizing force, instantly calming the unease on the scene.

"I know you're afraid," Azu's voice was steady and strong. "I also know that you're afraid of more than just aliens."

"I've seen a lot of comments saying that I'm more afraid of going bankrupt and becoming homeless than being killed by aliens."

"This breaks my heart."

He paused, his gaze fixed on the camera, as if he were looking at every ordinary person.
