Chapter 201 The Seed of the Gods

Wanda's ears twitched; it was the voice she knew best.

She didn't even look up; the seriousness on her face had already turned into surprise.

The magic circle in her hand vanished instantly, and she turned and ran towards the falling figure.

The apprentices practicing magic around him glanced up at him, then continued to focus on the magic circle in their hands.

Clearly, the fact that the Supreme Master has recently taken in this "special" disciple is no secret here.

"Anthony!"

As soon as Azu landed, before he could even strike a pose, he was bumped into by a warm body.

"Why did you come so soon? Didn't you say you wouldn't come until next week?"

Wanda's current demeanor is quite different from before; she is confident, composed, and carries a touch of the otherworldly quality unique to spiritual practitioners.

I missed you, so I came to visit.

Ah Zu smiled and put his arm around her waist, then casually pinched her cheek.

"It seems the Ancient One hasn't treated you badly; you look quite well."

"Of course, I've already learned how to draw circles!" Wanda proudly drew a circle with her finger, and a portal sparkling with fire appeared out of thin air. The scene on the other side was—Azu's office.

"Great job, well done!" Ah Zu encouraged, "But next time, call ahead before you come over, don't just make a hole in my office."

"Would you like some milk?" Wanda winked playfully. "I'll heat it up for you."

"Maybe next time," Azu politely declined. "I have to see your teacher now; I have some trouble."

Seeing Azu's slightly serious expression, Wanda also stopped joking.

"She's in the quiet room, I'll take you there."

……

The two entered the quiet room.

Gu Yi was standing there, her hands behind her back, quietly watching him.

Azu stepped forward and, without any pleasantries, got straight to the point.

"Master, are you familiar with the Celestial Group?"

Gu Yi paused slightly.

"The Celestials...they are ancient gods from the universe. They are both creators and destroyers."

"Because there was a 'bad seed' in the Celestials who planted a mine on Earth."

Azu revealed everything he knew about Ego's "Assimilation of All Things" plan from his previous life.

"You mean... a clone of a living planet is on Earth?"

Even the Venerable Master was moved upon hearing this news.

"Yes, and it could be activated at any time."

Azu looked at Gu Yi, his tone carrying a hint of questioning.

"What I want to know is, as the dimensional guardian of Earth, why didn't you notice?"

The Ancient One fell silent.

She stood up, walked to the window, and looked at the snow-capped mountains in the distance.

After a long silence, she finally spoke.

"Mr. Starr, you overestimate me and underestimate the Celestials."

"Kamar-Taj's defenses are primarily designed to counter invasions from other dimensions—such as Dormammu and the Lords of Hell."

"And the Celestials... they are one of the creators of the rules of this universe."

"If Igor planted this seed without intentionally concealing it... and kept it dormant."

"So in my perception, it's no different from an ordinary rock or a big tree."

"Unless..." Gu Yi's eyes sharpened, "...it begins to awaken."

"Moreover, in the timeline I originally reviewed, there was no record of such a global catastrophe."

"That's because the Guardians of the Galaxy dealt with it before it could fully erupt," Azu explained.

"But now, things have changed."

"I'm worried about the butterfly effect." Azu shook his head. "This is no longer the timeline we know. I'm not sure if those idiots can still handle that big head like in the original script."

"Moreover, his seed is buried on Earth," Azu continued. "That silly kid named Star-Lord has been found by Ego. Once Ego begins to utilize Star-Lord's divine power, this seed will be activated."

The Ancient One's expression turned serious.

"Where are the seeds?"

"My assistant has arranged for people to search there in Missouri."

"Let's go take a look."

Without saying a word, Gu Yi raised her hand and drew a perfect golden circle in the air.

Sparks flew, and on the other side of the portal was a dense forest.

The three of them stepped through the portal.

The air instantly changed from the thin, cold highland climate to the humid and warm atmosphere of a temperate forest region.

"Skynet, report your location."

Ah Zu pressed down on his earpiece.

"Sir, according to energy spectrum analysis, the anomaly is located 300 meters northwest of your current location."

The voice of Skynet came through.

"The Vought team has cordoned off the area and dug, but there is only dirt and rocks there."

"Digging is useless?" Azu frowned.

"Yes, like a ghost."

"lead the way."

Azu led the Ancient One and Wanda through the woods to the large pit that the special forces had dug.

Several fully armed Vought soldiers were busy at the bottom of the pit with shovels and detectors. When they saw Azu arrive, they immediately stood at attention and saluted.

"Boss! There's nothing here! Our energy spectrum shows a high-energy reaction here, but when we dig down, it's all just soil!"

Azu frowned.

But it's not surprising.

If it were that easy to discover, Igor wouldn't have kept the seeds hidden for decades without anyone knowing.

He looked at the Ancient One.

"Master, it's up to you now."

Gu nodded.

She closed her eyes and formed a mudra with her hands.

The Eye of Agamotto on his chest slowly opened, its green light not fully revealed, but only exuding a mysterious aura.

"Hoggus, the ancient body, with this as your vision... manifest yourself."

Gu Yi gave a low shout and pressed his hands down sharply.

"Buzz—!"

A green ripple spread out from her center into the surrounding forest.

Ripples swept across the trees, grass, and rocks.

What appeared to be an ordinary scene was transformed under the power of magic.

Suddenly, an eerie blue light shone from the previously empty soil.

"There!" Wanda pointed to the bottom of the pit.

A sphere the size of a fist, emitting a faint blue light, was quietly floating there.

It seemed to be alive, its surface covered with veins like blood vessels, slowly expanding and contracting, emitting an extremely faint rhythm.

"Found it."

"This is... the seed of the gods."

Gu Yi looked at the seed, her brows furrowed.

"I can feel that although it is dormant, its roots have become one with the veins of this land."

"Can it be destroyed?" Wanda asked.

"I'll give it a try."

Azu's eyes instantly turned blood red.

"Sizzle—!!"

Two high-energy thermal beams shot out and accurately struck the blue seed.

The core temperature of tens of thousands of degrees Celsius is poured onto the surface of the seed without reservation.

Its surface suddenly glowed with a bright blue light, dispersing the energy of its thermal vision along its tentacles deep underground.

Azu increased his output, and the soil around the seed turned into lava.

But the seed, bathed in the shimmering blue light, remained perfectly intact, and even pulsed more powerfully.

"Stop, Starr," the Ancient One said, stopping Azu. "It's no use."
