Chapter 127 Hulk... I hate... witches!

On the east wing of the ancient castle in Sokovia.

Gunfire has become sparse here, with only the occasional crackling sound of short-circuiting electricity remaining.

Clint Barton jumped from the ventilation duct and landed silently.

He held the composite bow in a half-drawn position, cautiously scanning his surroundings.

Ahead lay a secret corridor leading to the helipad. Several Hydra soldiers were pushing a silver metal box, their expressions panicked as they rushed out of the corridor.

The box was marked with a prominent radiation warning sign, but the faint blue energy glow seeping through the cracks betrayed what was inside—the Mind Scepter.

"Got you?"

Barton squinted and loosened his grip.

"Whoosh—!"

A bursting arrow pierced the air and landed precisely at the foot of the leading soldier.

"boom!"

The shockwave knocked several people to the ground, and the metal box crashed heavily to the ground, sliding to the middle of the corridor.

Just as the remaining soldiers were about to raise their guns to fight back, Patton had already slipped out of the shadows with fluid movements.

Drawing the arrow, nocking the bow, and firing—the three actions were performed in one fluid motion. The three soldiers didn't even see the enemy's position before they were pinned to the wall.

"Done."

Barton pressed his earpiece. "Natasha, Tony, I've got the scepter. Evacuation in progress."

He strode toward the box and reached out to grasp the handle.

"If I were you, I wouldn't touch that thing, you mortal."

A languid female voice, with a strange magnetism, suddenly rang out in the empty corridor.

Patton's muscles tensed instantly. He turned sharply, drew his bowstring taut, and pointed the arrow directly at the source of the sound.

A woman slowly emerged from the shadows of the corridor.

She was wearing a modern leather jacket, but the outfit gave her a classic and luxurious look.

His long, reddish-brown hair was casually draped over his shoulders, and his eyes were like unfathomable lake water.

Lorelei.

"Don't move," Patton warned. "I don't hit women, but Hydra is an exception."

"Hydra?" Lorelei chuckled softly, a laugh that felt like a feather brushing against Barton's heart.

"I am Lorelei. I conquered the world long before your ancestors were still picking fruit from trees."

"Halt!" Patton sensed something was wrong. His heart was racing, and his palms were sweating as he gripped the bow. Not from fear, but from a strange restlessness.

"Look at me, archer."

Lorelei stopped five meters in front of Barton. She didn't use any weapons, but simply raised her chin slightly, her eyes gleaming with a captivating light.

You look very tired.

Her voice penetrated Barton's ears, bypassing his rational defenses and directly caressing his weary soul.

"Put it down."

Lorelei reached out her hand and gently hooked her fingertips together.

"You don't need to carry these burdens. Come with me, and I'll give you... everything a man should have."

"Glory, wealth, and...love."

Barton's eyes struggled for a moment, his pupils contracted, and then completely lost focus.

Patton lowered his compound bow and looked at the goddess before him like a devout believer.

"Yes... my lady."

He turned around, picked up the box containing the scepter of the mind, and obediently walked behind Lorelei, like a most loyal guard.

"That's right."

Lorelei stroked Barton's cheek with satisfaction, then turned and walked into the darkness.

"Let's go, my warrior."

……

Sokovia, city center square.

"BOOM—!!"

A bus full of passengers was lifted up by a giant green hand, tumbled twice in the air, and was about to crash into a nearby coffee shop.

"careful!!"

A flash of silver light appeared.

Pietro Maximov rushed in at the last second.

At top speed, he first carried the customers out of the coffee shop one by one and placed them across the street.

Then, he rushed onto the falling bus.

Time seemed to stand still.

He saw the terrified passengers inside the car, and the shards of glass floating in the air.

"Don't spit on me, buddy."

Pietro grabbed a screaming middle-aged woman and dragged her away from her seat.

One trip, two trips, three trips.

When the bus finally crashed to the ground with a loud thud and became scrap metal, it was completely empty.

"Huff... huff..."

Pietro was exhausted, his silver battle suit soaked with sweat.

This intense, continuous rescue work made him feel like his lungs were on fire, and he was only able to keep going through it all thanks to his willpower.

"I'm a hero... I'm a hero..." Pietro chanted to himself as he ran, "For that ocean-view apartment... for that damn ocean-view apartment..."

"Awooo—!!"

The roar of the Hulk echoed from afar.

Pietro looked up.

The green monster was riding on the Hulkbuster armor, its fists pounding down like a pile driver.

"Hulk! Ugh! Tin Man!!"

"Clang! Clang! Clang!"

With each punch, a large dent appeared in the thick titanium alloy armor, sparks flew, and hydraulic oil sprayed wildly.

"Damn it! Banner, you should learn how to generate electricity from anger! You could save a lot on your electricity bill!"

Although Tony Stark's Mark 44 armor was thick and heavy, it was still smashed into sparks by this brute force, and the chest plate was severely dented.

"Jarvis! Spare parts! Quick!" Tony yelled from inside his helmet.

"Sir, the transport capsule was intercepted by the crane that Hulk just threw out. The spare left arm will arrive in one minute."

"Oh shit!"

"boom!"

Tony's chest pulse beam fired at Hulk's face, blasting him away.

Hulk crashed into a department store, instantly turning it into ruins.

Beside the ruins.

Wanda turned pale as she watched this scene.

She saw the crying children and the destroyed homes.

"This is...my fault..."

Wanda's hands trembled. It was she who had used magic to disturb the monster's mind, causing this disaster.

"I shouldn't... I shouldn't have done that!" She looked up sharply at the ferocious green figure. Guilt transformed into a kind of resolve.

She wants to make amends.

"I can stop him..."

Wanda took a deep breath, her palms glowing crimson, as she tried to soothe the beast.

"Calm down... calm down..."

Red mist drifted towards Hulk like ribbons, wrapping around his head.

Hulk, who had just crawled out of the rubble, paused for a moment.

He felt something drilling into his brain.

It felt like countless ants were crawling, or like someone was forcibly revisiting the scenes he least wanted to recall.

Abomination, Ross, Cage, and the Cursed Warrior.

"No……!!"

Hulk's agonizing howl.

Wanda's red magic, instead of calming Hulk who was in a state of extreme rage, was like pouring cold water into boiling oil.

"Hulk... I hate... witches!!"

Hulk suddenly turned his head.

Those bloodshot eyes were fixed on Wanda not far away.

"Awooo—!!!"

A deafening roar.

Hulk threw off the giant Iron Man, and with a burst of power from his legs, the ground instantly shattered.

Like a green cannonball, it hurtled straight towards Wanda!
