Chapter 25 Death Eater Surnames

Tooth is a Neapolitan Mastiff with glossy black fur, a large body, and an unusually large head. When it bares its teeth, it looks quite fierce.

But as anyone who has read the original story knows, this guy is all bark and no bite. He's only slightly braver than a mouse, and when real danger comes, he runs faster than a rabbit.

Right now, Ya Ya's big head was squeezed through the crack in the door, its eyes were almost slits, it was howling and whimpering, and its big paws were scratching at the ground.

Clearly, it didn't want to stay indoors.

"YaYa, be a good boy!"

Hagrid gripped the door frame with one hand and grabbed Tooth's collar with the other, but the Neapolitan Mastiff's charge was no joke.

No matter how noble a dog's bloodline is, it's still a dog. Deep down, it will have the common dog traits, such as being greedy!

Luo Bin took out a roasted chicken leg and placed it on Ya Ya's nose!

Instantly, the tip of its dark nose twitched wildly up and down, and the strength to break free from its owner lessened considerably. Hagrid pulled Tooth into the house with a forceful pull.

"After you come in, lock the door!"

"OK!"

The cabin was designed somewhat like an ancient granary, with dried hams, wild ducks, pheasants, and rabbits hanging from the ceiling, and a copper kettle on a simple stove.

Against the wall, there was a large bed, bigger than three beds put together in the boys' dormitory. The bed was covered with a quilt made of scraps of cloth sewn together.

"Please make yourself at home, don't be shy!"

As Hagrid, the half-giant, spoke, he loosened the collar around Yaya's neck.

Immediately afterwards, Ya Ya pounced on Luo Bin like a wild horse, bit off the chicken leg from his hand, and started gnawing on it.

"This is Ron, Ron Weasley, and this is Robin, Robin Lestrange. They are my roommates and best friends."

"Weasley? The troublemakers' brother? Oh my god, I hope you won't be as much of a headache as Fred and George."

The copper kettle spout lid was pushed open by the steam, and the lid rose and fell repeatedly, making a clicking sound.

Hagrid picked up the copper kettle, poured water, and placed crispy rock cakes on the plate.

Suddenly, he seemed to remember something, paused in his action of picking up the rock-skin pancake, and then muttered thoughtfully, "Lesterrange, that's a familiar surname."

Robin, with his sharp ears, clearly heard his muttering!

Actually, when he learned in Albania that the original owner's surname was Lestrange, he was quite surprised. However, after receiving all of the original owner's memories, he knew that this Lestrange was not the same Lestrange as before!

In Harry Potter, the village bully has a die-hard fan—Bellatrix Lestrange, the crazy witch who killed Sirius Black.

Bellatrix was originally a member of the Black family, but changed her surname after marrying into the Lestrange family.

Later, she and her husband joined the Death Eaters. After her husband died and the village bully disappeared, she was captured by the Aurors and imprisoned in Azkaban.

Ultimately, the wicked Molly Weasley killed her in a fit of rage.

The surname Leta Lestrange also appeared in the Harry Potter prequel, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.

As a teenager, she had a crush on the male protagonist, Newt Scamander. In her youth, she became the fiancée of the male protagonist's older brother, Theseus Scamander. Ultimately, during the battle with the Dark Lord, she sacrificed her life to protect the male protagonist and the second male lead from the "gas canister bombing".

Leta Lestrange was born into one of the 28 pure-blood archmage families. With her death, the secrets of the Lestrange family were buried forever in their graves.

The original book does not specify whether Bellatrix's husband was related to any of the 28 pure-blood families.

But Robin was certain that Tessm Lestrange's family had always lived and worked on the coast, rarely going to London, let alone Paris, except to deposit or withdraw money.

Not wanting to be misunderstood, Robin said loudly, "It just happens to be a surname; otherwise, the Ministry of Magic would definitely have taken action."

Hearing this, Hagrid was slightly shocked. He hadn't expected that a teenager would be so blunt!

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to offend you, I didn't mean anything by it. Here, try some rock crust cake."

"What does it mean that it happens to be the same surname?"

Admittedly, Harry Potter has many accolades, but he really doesn't know much about some common knowledge in the wizarding world!

"Harry, in the wizarding world, the followers of 'that person' are called Death Eaters. The infamous and wicked witch who brutally murdered several white wizards is named Lestrange."

After Ron finished explaining, he picked up a piece of rock-skinned bread and took a bite. Crunch! The bread was so hard it almost broke his front teeth.

"What does that have to do with Robin?" Harry asked.

"It's nothing, just a coincidence of the same surname! Come on, tell me, what are your thoughts on the first week of school?"

Hagrid asked as he handed out water glasses to the group.

Harry told Hagrid what had happened in Potions class that morning. After listening, Hagrid comforted him, saying, "Harry, don't worry, that's just how Snape is, don't mind him!"

"He seemed to hate me. Oh no, he hated me. I read hatred in his eyes more than once. I felt he wanted to kick me out of Hogwarts, and for a moment, I even thought he wanted to kill me!"

"Nonsense, you have no grudge against him, why would he hate you?" Hagrid said, his eyes gleaming.

"But."

Hagrid didn't want to continue discussing whether Snape hated Harry. He looked at Robin and asked, "What do your parents do?"

"Oh, my dad's name is Tesm Lestrange, and my mom's name is Popona Lestrange. They were both magical creature researchers, and they published quite a few magazines and columns. However, this summer, while they were doing research in the Balkans, they were caught in a super hurricane and lost their lives!"

Robin's expression was so sincere when he answered the question that Hagrid felt incredibly guilty. "I'm sorry, I shouldn't have asked that!"

"It's okay. Sometimes when I read the newspaper and see a column describing the habits of a rare plant or the scenery of a secluded canyon, I think of my parents and feel that they have never left me. Hmm, there looks like there are newspaper clippings under the placemat."

"No, don't touch it!"

Hagrid stopped him too late. By the time he uttered the second "no," Robin had already pulled the clipping from under the openwork tablecloth and read it aloud, word by word.

"Latest report on the Gringotts trespassing incident: The investigation into the trespassing incident at Gringotts, the Fairy Bank, on July 31 is still ongoing. It is widely believed that the incident was committed by a reclusive dark wizard."

"Greece supervisor Kodak repeatedly emphasized that Gringotts did not lose anything, and that the vault, which was broken into by an unknown wizard, had its contents taken away by the vault renter several days ago."
