Wizard: Starts with Advanced Meditation

As Piss uttered obscure words of death, a violent gust of air suddenly rose from the ground, like an invisible hand, firmly supporting him and carrying him straight into the sky.

Only second-level wizards can fly freely in the air by relying solely on their massive and concentrated mental energy, while first-level wizards mostly rely on the power of witchcraft to achieve flight.

Piss's figure continued to rise, slowly climbing above the city wall, and gradually approaching the topmost petal of the Lovera Star Chart.

The scorching heat of the fire element grew stronger, and when he finally reached the top of the giant plant, Piss witnessed a scene he would never forget: a crimson, lava-like thorn was relentlessly gnawing at their light shield.

The hard spikes continued to vibrate outside the light shield, the frequency increasing as they repeatedly attempted to break through the energy layer's barrier. At the same time, the runes on the energy shield began to spontaneously converge here, clearly forming a defense to resist the burning of the hard spikes.

However, the hard spikes were condensed with fire elemental energy compressed by a level two wizard. Under that scorching power, the runes on the light shield were being melted away one by one.

Finally, as if the light shield was no longer willing to sacrifice the runes, the remaining runes began to fall into chaos, dissipating in all directions like a receding tide.

Seeing this, Piss's heart sank, and he immediately roared at the Frostskin Dwarves atop the city wall:

"The people of Everfrost Spire are about to break through the light barrier! Destroy this plant in front of you!"

Upon hearing this, the frost-skinned dwarves on the city wall dared not delay for a moment. They immediately set up their rune cannons and giant crossbows again and launched an attack on the plants in front of them, attempting to destroy them.

At the same time, the messenger on the city wall acted swiftly and immediately relayed the urgent message to Pili below.

Pili's heart tightened upon hearing this. Their original plan was to use this light barrier to buy time, either until the wizards of Everfrost Spire exhausted their energy, or until the rune masters of Outpost Seven slowly broke through it. Both scenarios could buy them nearly a day's time.

But to everyone's surprise, the other party directly attacked and broke through, and it looked like they were about to succeed.

Without further hesitation, Pili addressed the formal wizard beside him:

"Stop holding back your magic! Go and destroy that giant plant!"

As soon as he finished speaking, the wind element around him began to surge, enveloping his figure and flying rapidly towards the root of the Lovera Star Chart.

The other formal wizards didn't dare to delay either, and immediately set off, flying towards other parts of the Lovera Star Chart.

Pili first approached the root of the Lovera astrolabe, which, though called the root, was actually as thick as a wooden house.

Pili immediately mobilized his magic power, causing the wind elements around him to rapidly converge. In just a moment, a solid wind blade, almost glowing with a blue light, appeared in front of him.

The wind blade is a full five meters long, and rows of sharp serrations on the outer edge of the blade are constantly moving, as if it could tear apart any obstacle in front of it at any moment.

Pili thrust his palms forward with a vengeance, and the wind blade shot out like an arrow. It pierced straight through the outer energy barrier and struck the root, producing a hissing sound as the serrated edges of the blade spun rapidly, frantically slicing through the root in front of it.

The power of the first-level wizard was indeed effective. As thick green sap gushed out from the cut part of the root, the wind blade also penetrated deeper and deeper, embedding itself firmly into the inside of the root.

The other wizards also raised their hands and cast spells, various spells raining down on the Lovira Star Disc. Soon, cracks began to appear on the body of the Lovira Star Disc, and the suction cups that were originally firmly attached began to tremble and fall off one by one.

Upon seeing this, the wizards of Everfrost Spire immediately took action to intercept the incoming magic. The two sides engaged in a fierce exchange of blows across the Lovira Astrolabe, with various spells colliding and exploding in its vicinity.

Amidst the chaos, the hard spikes at the top of the Lovera Star Chart did not stop, continuing to burn the energy layer and even slightly piercing it.

The frost-skinned dwarves around them had considered simply severing the vines, but several formal wizards were hovering around them, making it impossible for them to kill them.

In the critical moment, Piss suddenly had a flash of inspiration. Instead of engaging in the magical exchange, he focused his attention on the hard spikes and launched a series of ice spells at them.

Although Piss's ice magic generated a large amount of ice element that clashed and consumed the fire element in the hard spikes, the vines were like a continuous energy source, constantly supplying fire element to the hard spikes. He simply couldn't stop the hard spikes' steady advance.

In a short while, the tilt of the Lovera Star Chart increased, and it looked like it was about to collapse completely. At this critical moment, a crisp "crack" was heard, and the hard spike pierced through the energy layer in front of it and was nailed into the light shield.

As the hard spikes pierced the light shield, a scorching wave of air suddenly exploded from the spikes. The intense heat made Piss gasp for breath, and the burning sensation on his face was so strong that he instinctively retreated.

When his gaze fell upon the clear hole in the light shield, the last shred of hope in his heart shattered completely, and despair quietly spread: the light shield had been broken.

Having achieved her goal, Serafina ceased her fighting and flew towards the airship in a flash. She had already exhausted most of her magic power in order to maintain the Lovira Star Chart.

As Serafina's blessing was completely withdrawn, the already precarious Lovera Star Chart could no longer hold on and crashed heavily to the ground with a "boom," kicking up a cloud of dust.

At the same time, a swift white shadow suddenly swept in from the direction of the airship—it was Thorne, holding the rune disk.

As the cyan runes on his white robe continued to flash, the air around him surged violently, forming a dense wave of energy that enveloped him.

With the help of the airflow, Thorne's figure accelerated continuously, so fast that he was only a white afterimage, rushing straight towards the hole in the light shield like lightning.

Pili spotted Thorne in the air and quickly turned to his men, shouting sternly:

"Don't let that white-robed wizard get any closer! Quickly cast a spell together to stop him!"

The words had barely left his mouth when the surrounding wizards snapped out of their shock at the broken light barrier and immediately began casting spells to interfere with Thorne in the sky.

Various spells rained down on Thorne, who manipulated the wind element to nimbly weave through the air, dodging the incoming spells. At the same time, the golden rune on his chest lit up, and in the blink of an eye, an incredibly solid light membrane enveloped him.

Seeing this, the other wizards of Everfrost Spire once again took action to intercept the incoming magic. Various colored lights exploded one after another near Thorne, who kept moving through the explosions and finally got close to the hole.

The moment Thorne spotted the hole, he dropped all his guard and swiftly began to decipher the rune array.

He strode forward, flicked his wrist, and precisely positioned the rune disc in his hand against the hole. The edge of the disc was pressed against the energy layer, and a small circle of white light appeared at the bottom, perfectly aligned with the hole.

Thorne then took out an engraving pen, and the work of deciphering the rune array began.
