Chapter 337 The Final Battle Begins!
Chapter 337 The Final Battle Begins!
"Everyone stay still! Anyone who moves will be killed on sight!" The soldiers rushed in, guns pointed at everyone.
Everyone present was stunned by this sudden turn of events. How did these soldiers suddenly rush in? And surround them?
Jing Chen covered his heart with one hand, cautiously observing the group of soldiers before him. Their sudden appearance didn't surprise him at all. He narrowed his eyes, looking at the soldiers and asked, "I don't recall you having direct authority to come here. Who gave you permission?"
"Dad sent us." α and 9, along with the others, emerged from the woods behind the group.
Jing Chen turned around, looked at Alpha, and said, "Looks like you don't take my words to heart, do you? You've been hanging around in front of me time and time again?"
"Zero, Dad sent us," Alpha said.
"Alright, tell me the purpose of your visit," Jing Chen said.
Alpha said, "We've come here for only one purpose: to take you and codename 556 for re-education."
"Re-education?" Jing Chen chuckled. "Re-education? Try saying that again! You dare mention re-education to me?"
"Zero, this isn't my decision, it's Dad's decision. Are you going to rebel against Dad?" Alpha said.
"Bullshit!" Jing Chen continued, "Just because they were disciplined once, they think they have the right to be so unruly? If they need further discipline, they should come here themselves! Dogs have been treated like masters for too long; they've forgotten they're dogs, haven't they?"
"Zero! Watch your words!" Alpha shouted, pointing at Jing Chen.
Jing Chen chuckled, "That's just how I talk. If you don't like it, you can teach me how to talk properly."
"You!" Alpha pointed at Jing Chen, but couldn't utter another word for a long time.
Jing Chen stepped back slightly, then assumed a fighting stance, gesturing for Alpha to come over. Alpha, however, refused to come. He knew better than anyone how good Jing Chen's fighting skills were. He had sparred with Jing Chen countless times; Jing Chen had figured out his attack patterns, but he could never see through Jing Chen's.
"What? You don't dare? Then how dare you come and arrest me? You even want to touch my people? Do you even deserve it?" Jing Chen raised his thumb and pointed sharply downwards.
Alpha, who initially didn't want to fight Jing Chen, instantly became enraged upon seeing this gesture. Jing Chen had done the same thing to him before. Back then, Alpha didn't understand, and after Jing Chen explained, he even got into a fight with him. Unfortunately, he was always the loser.
Seeing this action again, how could Alpha not be furious? He was the captain of the fathers' personal guard, practically second only to the emperor. No one had ever dared to insult him; Jing Chen was the first and the last!
Alpha charged directly at Jing Chen. A slight smile played on Jing Chen's lips; he had anticipated this. And this was exactly the effect Jing Chen wanted!
Alpha threw a straight punch at Jing Chen's face, but Jing Chen reached out and effortlessly caught Alpha's fist. Alpha was shocked and tried to pull his hand back, but how could his strength compare to Jing Chen's? Jing Chen grabbed Alpha's hand, spun him around, and flung Alpha into a tree trunk.
Alpha slammed into the tree trunk and fell face down.
Alpha scrambled to his feet and charged at Jing Chen again. This time, winning or losing didn't matter; he just wanted to teach this arrogant guy a lesson. He wanted him to know that the captain of the Imperial Guard wasn't someone anyone could insult.
Jing Chen dodged Alpha's attack by sidestepping, delivered a knee kick that struck Alpha hard in the abdomen, then grabbed Alpha's hair and threw it upwards. Just as Alpha was about to hit the ground, Jing Chen kicked Alpha in the abdomen, then swiftly grabbed Alpha's hand, swung it around in a circle, and slammed it to the ground.
The series of movements was fluid and seamless. α was struck by this combo and coughed up blood, but the others dared not help α up. They would rather offend the current captain than provoke the former one.
After this series of attacks, Alpha was completely unable to get up and lay motionless on the ground. It wasn't that Alpha had fainted, but rather that Alpha felt extremely ashamed. In front of Jing Chen, he had no power to fight back at all, and rather than get up and embarrass himself, he preferred to remain lying on the ground.
"Oh? What's wrong? Can't you get up already?" Jing Chen bent down and looked at Alpha, who just wouldn't get up. Jing Chen was at a loss and turned to look at the group of soldiers behind him.
"I'm giving you three seconds. Put down your guns and go back to where you came from!" Jing Chen said, his eyes turning bloodshot.
Those familiar with Jing Chen know that these are the eyes he uses when he harbors murderous intent. Whenever Jing Chen's eyes appear, bloodshed is inevitable!
The soldiers didn't move, their guns still raised. But after Jing Chen's words, all the soldiers pointed their guns at him. Now, the biggest threat on the field was Jing Chen; the others could still be intimidated, but only Jing Chen!
"3...2...1..." Even as the final note fell, the soldiers didn't lower their guns. Jing Chen sneered, his figure vanishing instantly. The soldiers panicked.
Vanishing into thin air? Is that something a human can do? Impossible, a human absolutely cannot disappear instantly. Could it be...?
Before the thought could even be fully formed, soldiers began to fall one by one, yet there wasn't a single person to be seen on the scene. Although the members of the Thirteenth Unit didn't know what was happening, they understood only one thing: it was all Jing Chen's doing.
Although everyone in '9' had witnessed Jing Chen's strength, facing it in person still left them with a lingering sense of fear. They were clones, that's true, and their physical abilities were superior to humans, that's also true, but compared to Jing Chen, what difference was there between them and ordinary humans?
In the blink of an eye, all the soldiers collapsed to the ground. Jing Chen returned to the 13th Division and snapped his fingers lightly. The soldiers' corpses all turned to ashes and scattered between heaven and earth.
Jing Chen turned to look at 9', and chuckled softly, "Are you going on your own, or should I see you off?"
"We'll go on our own, we'll go on our own..." The members of "9" had been completely won over by Jing Chen. They knew very well that if they stayed here any longer, their fate would be almost exactly the same as that of the soldiers.
Two members of the "9" group lifted up α, preparing to take α with them.
"Are you all deaf? I'm talking about 'you,' not him!" Jing Chen turned around, his blood-red eyes gleaming with a chilling light. They knew who Jing Chen was talking about—it was Alpha.
They put α on the ground, and the rest of them turned and ran.
"Jing Chen..." Xin walked to Jing Chen's side, took his hands in hers, and looked at him with some concern.
Jing Chen said, "Don't worry, I know what I'm doing. Now, it's time to solve the problem!"
