Chapter 232 Jing Chen, Betrayed

The next class was English, and Chu Yuan, who usually seemed like a top student, was actually afraid of English! Jing Chen was dumbfounded. Was English that hard? Wasn't it an easy subject? It was such a simple subject, so why would anyone be afraid of English? Jing Chen couldn't understand it.

Jing Chen smiled and said, "There's nothing we can do. Icarus and Nymph are not used to living like ordinary people."

"Speaking of which, what about Mitsuki?" Shouxing asked.

"There." Tomoki pointed behind Mikako and Morigata.

The two of them turned around at the same time and saw Chu Yuan slumped over the first table in their row, seemingly lost in thought.

"What's wrong?" Shouxing asked.

Chu Yuan said dejectedly, "Please leave me alone."

"You didn't become so depressed because you compared yourself to those two top students, did you?" Mikako said with a smile.

Chu Yuan became even more dejected upon hearing Mikako's words. Jing Chen's lips twitched slightly; Mikako was indeed as cunning as ever.

"Mikako, don't hurt people's feelings like that," Shouxing said.

"Alright, afternoon classes are about to begin." After saying that, Tomoki got up to leave.

No one answered Nymph's question. Nymph knelt on one knee on the table, leaned over it, and said to Icarus, "Hey, α..." Then she whispered something in Icarus's ear.

Icarus pulled out the same universal card from his bag, and Nymph burst out laughing.

The fifth period was a science class. The teacher was lecturing with his head down on the podium when suddenly, as if he had an epileptic seizure, he started shaking wildly on the podium, muttering something under his breath.

The previous teacher introduced the student: "This is Teacher Icarus."

Icarus bowed and said, "Please guide me."

Tomoki stared at Icarus on the stage in shock, his expression quite ferocious.

Jing Chen looked at Icarus on the stage and subconsciously glanced at the universal card in his ring. He suddenly wondered where Icarus got the card.

Nymph peeked out from behind the podium at Icarus and said with curiosity, "Hey, the white dress suits her quite well."

Tomoki looked at Nymph and said, "You're the one who instigated it!"

Chu Yuan said with a look of enjoyment, "Miss Icarus would definitely be a good teacher, because she is so outstanding."

"That's not the problem!" Tomoki roared in a fit of impotence.

Jing Chen looked at Chu Yuan, Zhi Shu, and Nymph with a strange expression. "Icarus is just a teacher, what's the big deal?"

Suddenly, Jing Chen felt the scene before him change. He and Icarus were no longer in the classroom. Looking up, he saw blue sky and white clouds, and the surrounding scenery was quite beautiful.

The students around them all looked at Icarus and Jing Chen without saying a word.

Suddenly, a girl started chanting, "Jing Chen... Jing Chen..." Then, the whole class joined in. Jing Chen looked helplessly at his classmates, sighed, and walked to the window.

Looking at the scenery outside the window, Jing Chen muttered, "Is this an illusion? When did I fall for it?"

Jing Chen stood on the window, spread his arms, leaned forward, and fell to the ground.

The students gasped and all crowded around the window, watching the direction Jing Chen had fallen.

Suddenly, a dark shadow flew into the sky. The students looked up and discovered that Jing Chen had grown a pair of black and white wings on his back. The black and white wings carried Jing Chen directly into the sky.
