Chapter 225 The Second Artificial Angel

Since the last incident, Jing Chen had enjoyed a rare period of peace. On this rare day off, Jing Chen woke up and, not hearing Icarus's "Good morning," was somewhat puzzled. After changing his clothes, Jing Chen went to the living room and suddenly discovered there were guests there?

This guest is quite special. How special? Well, like Icarus, this guest is an artificial angel.

"Who are you?" Jing Chen asked politely.

"Hmph." The guest gave a haughty snort and did not answer Jing Chen's question.

Jing Chen smiled. "Icarus, please step out for a moment. I have something to discuss with this young lady."

"Yes, Master," Icarus replied blankly, then went out carrying the watermelon.

Jing Chen sat opposite the guest, elbows resting on the table, chin propped up with her hand, and said, "Your name is Nymph, right?"

Nymph was taken aback, seemingly never expecting that this person knew her name. She hadn't even introduced herself yet; how did this person know her name?

Jing Chen said, "I know you're wondering why I know your name, but that's not important. Ever since you appeared above this house that night, I've sensed your presence. Want to know what your purpose is?"

"I don't have any particular purpose; I'm just curious about what the lower realm is like," Nymph said.

Jing Chen smiled, seemingly believing Nymph's words, and said, "Oh, is that so? You're an angel, then isn't heaven very beautiful?"

"Beautiful?" Nymph paused for a moment. Seeing her expression, Jing Chen knew without a doubt that Nymph must have remembered something.

"Yes, yes, isn't it beautiful? Our books here are full of stories about heaven. They say heaven is beautiful and gorgeous. Is that true?" Jing Chen seemed to have already imagined what heaven looked like, his face full of longing.

Nymph looked at Jing Chen with disgust. Jing Chen composed himself and looked at Nymph, saying, "Icarus doesn't know anything about Synapse, so if you do, can you tell me?"

"Synapses!? How do you know about this?" Nymph asked in surprise.

Jing Chen pointed to the sky, and Nymph looked in the direction he pointed, only to see the ceiling.

Nymph looked at Jing Chen, puzzled. Jing Chen said, "Synapse, you mean that thing in the sky? Do you need me to tell you what's there?"

Nymph was startled and looked at Jing Chen cautiously. Jing Chen said, "It seems I don't need to say anything more."

Tomoki finally got up and fell silent when he saw Tomoki and Nymph sitting in the living room.

Icarus had just finished brewing tea and brought it out from the kitchen, pouring a cup for each of the three of them. Tomoki drank it, pretending to be calm.

He looked at Nymph's outfit; it was exactly the same as Icarus's. Was this another artificial angel?

Nymph was eating a bag of potato chips while watching TV, while Jing Chen leisurely drank tea, looking at the clear blue sky outside, and occasionally glancing back at Icarus, who was carrying a watermelon and walking back and forth.

Suddenly, Jing Chen felt the table he was leaning on begin to tremble. He turned around and saw Zhi Shu holding a teacup in both hands, his head bowed, his whole body trembling violently.

Jing Chen's lips twitched. Is it really that scary?

Tomoki called Icarus aside and they talked about something. Jing Chen rested one hand on his face and looked at Nymph, but Nymph pretended not to see him and continued eating.

"Hey, those bugs over there."

Tomoki paused, then turned around with a smile, looking around but not seeing any insects. Suddenly, he realized something, his demeanor shifting abruptly. He rubbed his hands together, adopting a fawning expression, and asked, "Excuse me, what did you just say?"

"A bug is a bug. Who else is there besides you?" Nymph looked like she didn't understand.

"That's true..." Tomoki remained the same.

Zhishu pulled Jingchen outside and said to her, "Jingchen, my belief is that peace comes first, understand?"

Jing Chen nodded. "I know."

"So, can we get her out of here? I sense an aura emanating from her that could completely disrupt my peaceful life!" Tomoki said.

Jing Chen shrugged. "I can't do anything about it. Whether she leaves or not is not my business. She's Icarus's friend."

"Ugh! Seriously!" Zhishu cried out in despair, while Jingchen smiled helplessly.

At this moment, Chu Yuan, Mikako, and Shougai also arrived. As soon as they entered the courtyard, they heard Tomoki's desperate shouts.

The group boarded the tram, but they didn't know where it was going.

Tomoki sat in his seat, looking at Nymph across from him, and thought, "Why did I bring this guy along?!"

"What's wrong with that? It's more fun with more people," Mikako said with a smile.

"That's not what I meant!" Tomoki said.

Chu Yuan sat by the window, his gaze fixed on the outside, lost in thought.

Seeing that the six of them seemed to be having a good time chatting, and noticing Chu Yuan's absent-mindedness, Jing Chen roughly knew what Chu Yuan was thinking.

A few days ago, Chu Yuan and Zhi Shu went out shopping. On their way back, they drew a prize and won a double ticket for a beach vacation. It was a rare occasion for Chu Yuan and Zhi Shu to be able to go out alone with Zhi Shu, but surprisingly, Mikako and Morigata also won the prize.

And then, it turned out like this. Thinking about all this, Chu Yuan couldn't help but sigh.

"I'm so sorry, Mitsuki," Shouge apologized to Chuyuan.

"Huh? Why is senior apologizing?" Chu Yuan asked, taken aback.

"No, today was supposed to be a trip for you and Tomoki together," Morigata said.

"Don't say that, senior, it's okay." Chu Yuan said.

After the brief exchange ended, Jing Chen watched from the sidelines without participating. Chu Yuan's expression seemed to change slightly, as if he had thought of something or figured something out, but Jing Chen didn't need to care about that.

Mikako smiled and asked Nymph, "May I ask what your name is?"

"Nymph," Nymph said calmly.

"Oh, I see. You can call her Nymph, little sister." Mikako said with a smile.

Chu Yuan suddenly remembered something, took out a box from his bag and said, "Oh, right, I made rice balls for everyone for breakfast."

Everyone took one, and Zhishu carefully chose one, saying, "I want this one."

The group began to sample Chu Yuan's rice balls. Jing Chen took a bite and, to be honest, Chu Yuan's cooking skills were indeed quite good.

After breakfast, the tram was almost at its destination. Their destination was the seaside.

"oh!"

Once on the beach, Tomoki's gaze wandered aimlessly. Jingchen, following behind Tomoki, sighed and looked at him with an expression that said, "I don't know him."
