"Atayal is here!"
Tai'an sensed that the spiritual coordinates were approaching.
"Young Master, shall we prepare a meal for Miss Taiya?"
Mussofi stood in front of the full-length mirror, patiently examining his round body over and over again.
I lost so much hair today, I even pulled a bald patch off my head, it's so frustrating.
"We'll talk about it when it arrives."
Tai'an lowered his head and smoothed out the wrinkles in his clothes. To avoid giving Taiya an excuse to make a scene, he decided to go out and greet her.
On either side of the dark red welcome carpet, heavily armored skeletal guards exuded an imposing aura.
Although it's just a facade project, it's enough to give visitors a strong deterrent, at least ensuring they won't underestimate the Wizarding House, and it also boosts the confidence of our own people.
Each skeletal guardian possesses strength comparable to a formal class, and combined with heavy armor and an indomitable will of the undead, they pose a threat to higher-ranking warriors.
"The Wizarding House has a profound history..."
Atayal knew that the gatekeeper crow loved being praised.
"Hehe, of course." Gargamel circled in the sky, letting out a strange cry: "I'm telling you, you'd better not go back alone tonight. Students keep going missing in the Black Forest!"
"I am a formal-class spellcaster!" Taiya emphasized.
"The young lady is quite confident. Several of the missing people are full-rank officials," Gargamel warned in a low voice.
"Really? A student has gone missing, isn't the college going to take responsibility?"
Taiya seemed to recall the sensational disappearance incident from a few years ago. Since similar incidents occurred more or less every year, she hadn't paid much attention to it.
It's perfectly normal for students to fail their year-end assessments and be expelled, get injured in duels, mysteriously disappear, or even die. Embarking on the path to seek power inevitably involves taking risks, and there's always a large influx of new blood every year.
The entire Violet Academy has nearly 100,000 students and faculty, with the largest division, the Warrior Division, having as many as 50,000 students.
"It was a huge operation back then. The principal personally led dozens of elite instructors, and they practically swept through the entire Black Forest, eliminating multiple sources of danger." Gargamel recalled the past.
Taian and Mussofi came to greet them.
Holding the prepared script, the young boy began his performance. He stammered and awkwardly greeted his fiancée, "Hello, my name is Tai'an."
Greenfield carefully examined the boy in front of him. He was quite handsome, very clean, and didn't have any strange smells. Instead, he had a faint, pleasant milky fragrance.
Her eyes were clear and gentle, and her temperament was mild, like an obedient baby.
Tai'an deliberately suppressed his masculinity and disguised himself to create the persona of a "mama's boy," which is the most hated type of man by women.
Little did he know that his cleverness backfired, and it actually increased his fiancée's favor towards him.
"Hello, my name is Greenfield. You can contact me if you need anything."
The red-haired girl extended her hand generously. The boy quickly responded, and the two shook hands lightly.
The girl's palms were rough, with thick calluses covering the area between her thumb and forefinger.
The boy's palms were like white jade, without a single flaw, with perfect skin, a quality that even the most pampered noble children would find hard to possess.
Greenfield couldn't help but squeeze it tighter.
"You seem quite pleased with my brother," Taiya noticed the subtle detail and smiled.
Greenfield did not deny it: "I didn't really have any illusions about this arranged marriage. I just hoped that my fiancé would behave himself."
"So that's how it is. I want to be a restless man," Tai'an realized the key point, his eyes darting around.
The group arrived at No. 17 Pale Courtyard. The butler, Mussophie, ceremoniously opened the door and stood by the roadside to signal the host and guests to go in first.
Having only one servant is rather meager for an heir of earldom.
Tai'an never considered the issue of extravagance; having a trusted person to help with daily life was enough.
Orcs are a bit slow-witted and not as calculating as pure-blooded humans. They wear their desires on their sleeves, making living together more relaxed.
"Hey! Not bad, much better than my little single room..." Taiya was very envious of Taian's little courtyard.
The Mage branch occupies a prime location in the central part of the academy, and with a larger number of students, it's naturally impossible to provide them with a stand-alone building.
"Have you eaten yet?" Tai'an asked politely.
"No." Greenfield smelled the aroma of stewed meat as soon as he entered the room.
"Let's eat together then," Taiya readily agreed.
Taian instructed Mussophie to prepare a main course in the kitchen and then led his sister and fiancée on a tour of his old lair. The first floor contained the living room, kitchen, and Mussophie's living quarters. The second floor housed a study, a storage room, and a bathroom. The third floor contained the master bedroom, a laboratory, and a storage room.
"You've only been here one day, where did you get so much stuff?" Taiya asked suspiciously.
She had seen many of the pieces of furniture in her brother's old room; they were all old family items.
Examining the scratches on the bookcase, I found they were in the exact same locations, confirming that it was indeed the bookcase in my home.
"You have space equipment too, don't you?" Tai'an gave a vague answer.
"Your spatial equipment is ridiculously large! I only have 0.2 cubic meters..."
Taiya felt her parents were biased. However, it was understandable; after all, her younger brother was the family heir and deserved the most essential resources. Their daughter would eventually marry out of the family, and then the precious large-scale spatial equipment would belong to someone else.
In fact, for parents to give their daughters a spatial ring is already a sign of great importance and pampering. Some daughters of marquises and dukes don't even possess spatial rings.
"Hello, is anyone home?" came a timid voice from the doorway.
Tai'an's expression changed slightly, and he quickly considered countermeasures.
Taiya went out to greet them. The silver-haired, oval-faced girl had a sweet smile on her face.
"Hello, how can I help you?"
"I live next door. I just moved in today, so I'm just visiting my neighbors."
Silver Moon presented Taiya with a gift—a beautifully packaged pastry box that was clearly quite valuable.
"Oh dear, I'm so sorry." Taiya generously accepted the gift and invited Yinyue in, thinking that since they were neighbors, they would see each other all the time, so she had to maintain a good relationship.
The boy and the silver-haired girl locked eyes; one looked sullen, the other had a sly smile, and the atmosphere was a little awkward.
"Wow, the wizard is so cute! So fair and tender, so adorable..." Silvermoon teased.
"Right? My little brother is just adorable." Taeya chimed in, adding insult to injury.
Negative emotions in Tai'an +999…
"What's your name? We'll be classmates in the same college in the future. Please take care of me." The silver-haired loli's voice was sickeningly sweet.
Tai'an remained silent.
"My younger brother, Tai'an, has always been rather shy, so please don't mind him too much," Taiya said, trying to smooth things over and introducing him as well.
"Tai'an, so your name is Tai'an!" Yin Yue suddenly leaned closer to her face.
