Cultivators at the Wizarding Academy

Chapter 59 The Black Card of the Mage Bank

Chapter 59 The Black Card of the Mage Bank

Gus drank the milk tea he bought from a roadside stall and handed Larkin a cup.

"Thank you! When will Miss Tayya arrive?"

"She'll probably be finishing get out of class soon!"

The sun overhead signaled that noon was approaching. The exact time was still unclear. Gus thought to himself that he definitely needed to buy a watch someday, and silently sat down on the wooden chair next to the goblin.

Selling potions was undoubtedly a very enviable business. Fortunately, Guts still had a reputation within the academy, and ordinary people dared not act recklessly.

As for some powerful nobles, they mostly look down on small-scale street vending and will not clash with Blue Rose, who is also a noble, because of it.

For a time, things were calm and peaceful.

A moment later, Atya arrived. She wore a wine-red court dress, her movements exuding elegance. Her skin was snow-white, her neck delicate, and her figure full and alluring. Wherever she went, she attracted the attention of many young men.

"She looks so beautiful today. She truly deserves her reputation as one of the four beauties of the academy."

"Tae-ya, the school beauty of the Mage Division."

"Ninety-five points for looks, one hundred points for figure."

Gus was stunned, wondering what day it was and why she was dressed so beautifully.

Taiya's actions were naturally motivated by her own intentions. Her main goal was to let more people know she was the backer of the potion stall, while also using Blue Rose's reputation as a backing. Her aim was to minimize trouble and maximize publicity.

The black-haired mature woman strode over to the stall.

"Looks like it's selling well!"

"Yes, Miss Tayya, if you had come a little later, they should have sold out completely."

Larkin opened the table drawer, took out the prepared money bag, and handed it to Taiya.

Taiya took it and held it in her hand, feeling a little unreal. She opened it and checked it again.

Thirty-three bottles were sold, bringing in a total of ninety-nine gold coins. At this rate, the inventory should be sold out by this afternoon.

Hiring goblins was a wise decision.

"Mr. Larkin, why don't you raise the price appropriately? The life potion in Wizard Lane costs three gold coins and fifty silver dollars. We can sell it for the same price, and your commission will be higher."

"Ms. Tayya, you're right, but I think the most important thing in the early stages is to build trust. If the prices are the same, customers might choose the one with better reputation. We can only open up sales channels if we have a price advantage."

The two chatted for a while.

Taiya restocked the medicine shelves and added a line to the blackboard: "Perfect quality life potion, available for consultation and pre-order."

"Gus, have you eaten?"

"Yes, I ate some at a nearby stall earlier. Shall I go to Wizard Alley to buy some herbs now?"

"Yes, please make another trip and ask if it's possible to have it delivered regularly every day. Oh, and don't forget to buy a batch of medicine bottles."

"No problem," Gus replied with a hearty smile.

Taiya watched Guts' figure disappear into the distance, then turned to the goblin beside her: "Mr. Larkin, have you eaten?"

"No, but I'm not very hungry. As long as I can make money, I won't be hungry." Larkin's tone didn't sound like he was just saying it for show; he genuinely believed it.

"Mr. Bruno, could you buy some food nearby and bring it over?"

"Okay, Miss Tayya, please don't wander around."

In just over thirty seconds, Bruno returned with the food. He handed a cooked hot dog to the goblin.

"Thank you, sir!"

The goblin has a small appetite; a single grilled sausage is enough to fill him up, and with the milk tea he just drank, Larkin figured he'd manage to get by for lunch.

Taiya realized that her presence seemed to be interfering with Larkin's sales, attracting the attention of many men who weren't buying anything, and some even stood around looking silly and infatuated.

The black-haired mature woman's figure vanished from her seat as if into thin air.

Basic spell: Concealment.

As long as you don't move, you won't reveal any flaws.

Moving up another level, there's the intermediate spell, Dark Stealth. It allows for perfect movement in the darkness, without revealing any weaknesses. Unfortunately, it's daytime now, so there's no need for it.

A truly perfect invisibility spell is a high-level spell that requires an elite caster to master, something Taiya cannot do yet.

Sure enough, after she disappeared, people started asking about the price.

Larkin closed two deals in a row, his smile growing even more enthusiastic.

"You actually sell perfect quality life potions?"

A pink-haired woman wearing sunglasses stepped forward and asked a question.

"Yes, beautiful lady. Supply is limited; we only have one bottle left. Buy now while supplies last."

When Larkin saw that a big client had arrived, he quickly jumped off his chair, stood on a few stepping bricks to increase his height, and supported himself on the table with both hands.

"How much?" The woman's gaze fell on the empty space next to Larkin.

"One hundred and twenty gold coins." Larkin received a telepathic message from Taiya.

"That's too high, 100 gold coins. I can buy them long-term."

The two haggled. Finally, they settled on a price of one hundred and ten gold coins.

Larkin exclaimed sincerely, "Madam, you are a formidable opponent. I have rarely met anyone as skilled at bargaining as you."

"You flatter me!" The pink-haired woman raised the corners of her mouth slightly. "Let me inspect the goods first."

Taiya took out a vial of medicine and placed it on the table. Her hidden figure appeared as she moved.

"Blue Rose Taiya!" The pink-haired woman took off her sunglasses.

Larkin doesn't know him.

But Taiya exclaimed in surprise, "Ms. hope!"

The pink-haired woman nodded slightly, loosened the stopper, held the bottle to her nose, and gently shook the vial: "Not bad, it's indeed perfect quality. If you have any extra potions, you can sell them all to me."

"I only have one bottle on hand right now. If you could give me some more time, I might be able to bring out a few more."

"Do you have a magic card from the Mage Bank? I'll send you the gold coins."

"some."

These cards, which can only be obtained by spellcasters of a formal rank, symbolize status and class. However, due to the limited number of potential buyers, Tayya rarely uses them.

Using Jinlong as the minimum recorded amount, the maximum transaction limit for a regular black card can reach four figures; any higher limit requires re-reporting and upgrading.

The number zero on the Tayya card has become one hundred and one.

hope confirmed the money had been transferred and put away the medicine bottle: "Remember, if you have any more stock, come to the principal's office anytime."

"Take care!" Taiya bowed slightly to hope's departing figure.

School clinic.

Aglaia, who had been eagerly waiting, finally met Mussofi.

"Mr. Butler, you're very late today!"

"I'm sorry! I thought your clothes were really undignified, so I took the liberty of buying some things nearby, including towels, soap, and slippers."

The panda gestured to the paper tote bag in its left hand and gently placed it next to the wardrobe.

"I'll pay you back whatever it cost." Aglaia glanced at the urgently needed supplies, appreciating the other party's kindness.

"No need, just consider these inexpensive items as a perk."

Mussofi put down the bamboo lunchbox.
