Chapter 83 Captain America: I will not compete with Lynn for the Illuminati!

On the balcony.

Hearing Joey's excited tone, Lynn said "I understand" and then hung up the phone.

I glanced at my phone at the clear picture of Steve Rogers that Joey had sent back.

Lynn then began to think.

Lynn was not surprised at all by Captain America's "resurrection".

He already knew that Captain America hadn't really died, but he didn't expect S.H.I.E.L.D. to place the thawing location for Captain America in Brooklyn.

Recalling what Natasha had told him—that Nick Fury's Avengers hadn't even started yet, while he had already created the Illuminati ahead of time—he realized that Natasha was making a point.

Lynn immediately knew what Nick Fury, that bastard, was up to. After thinking for a moment, Lynn dialed James Duke's number.

Well, my current persona is Hydra, so naturally I have to report something this big.

As soon as the call connected, Lynn whispered, "Chief, I've received accurate intelligence. Captain America, who should have died seventy years ago, has been resurrected!"

At Duke's home.

James Duke, who was sitting leisurely on the sofa watching TV, jumped up from the sofa immediately after hearing Lynn's report.

"What did you say?! Steve Rogers is back in the world?! Wasn't he dead for seventy years?! Damn it, how is this possible?! What's going on?!"

Hearing Duke's extremely serious tone, Lynn recounted the events: "Director, I suspect that S.H.I.E.L.D. has already located Steve Rogers and has been conducting secret resurrection experiments on him!"

Upon hearing Lynn's report, James Duke frowned.

After thinking for a few seconds, Duke said, "Don't do anything for now. I'll contact the others!"

"clear!"

Lynn nodded when he heard Duke say that.

After hanging up the phone, Lynn chuckled and turned to look inside the room.

Aunt Helen had already prepared a sumptuous dinner, and Gwen was waving at her through the window.

Lynn smiled and walked into the room.

Lynn may not care about Steve Rogers, but James Duke cannot afford to be indifferent—after all, that's Steve Rogers!

He frowned and dialed Alexander Pierce's number.

Listening to James Duke's concerns, Pierce chuckled and said, "Don't worry, Duke, things aren't seventy years ago anymore."

"An old relic abandoned by the times can't cause any trouble. Besides, Nick Fury will definitely bring him into S.H.I.E.L.D. At that time, who can say for sure whether he'll be working for S.H.I.E.L.D. or for us?"

"Lynn's control over New York has exceeded my expectations. I just received news that Steve has woken up, but he already knew about it beforehand."

Hearing Pierce say that, James Duke felt a little relieved.

However, upon hearing Pierce mention Lynn, James Duke felt a surge of pride.

After all, Lynn personally recruited Hydra through his own painstaking efforts!

The fact that Captain America was thawed from the ice and revived did not cause much of a stir.

After all, this matter has always been known only to a small group of people.

Nothing major happened in the days following my birthday, except that James Duke talked to me for a long time.

Only Gwen finally shed her identity as a girl.

Early morning, in Lynn's room.

Looking at Gwen, who was still fast asleep on his chest, Lynn carefully tucked her arm under the covers.

Yesterday, Gwen used the excuse of getting acquainted with the future university to come and sleep in Lynn's bed. Then, late at night, she cosplayed as a medieval female knight, trying to drain Lynn dry.

The only miscalculation was that even after becoming the Spider Woman and having her physical abilities enhanced in every way, she was still no match for Lynn.

[Gwen Stacy's favorability increased to 10, gaining 1000 experience points!]

Upon seeing the system notification, Lynn felt a surge of excitement.

Sure enough, just like Barbara before her, Gwen's favorability rating also rose to 10 as a result of this incident.

point.

Furthermore, the 10 points of favor are given once a day, which means that you can receive 1000 experience points from Gwen every day.

In this way, your strength will increase dramatically!

Looking at Gwen, who was crying her eyes out last night, but was now fast asleep, Lynn shut down the system and gently tapped the tip of her nose.

"Hmm."

Gradually opening her sleepy eyes, Gwen subconsciously raised her hand and rubbed them.

When Gwen saw Lynn looking at her with affection, she suddenly recalled what had happened last night.

"hey-hey."

Gwen pounced on Lynn and kissed him, then hugged him and chuckled.

"What are you laughing at?"

Looking at Gwen, who was lying in his arms and giggling, Lynn asked with a smile.

"Because I've finally gotten what I wanted. You have no idea how long I've waited for this day. You know, many girls in school start at 14—"

At this point, Gwen lifted the covers and glanced at the sheets, then raised her arm and said to Lynn, "Lynn, carry me to the bath."

Seeing Gwen acting coquettishly towards him, Lynn got up and then carried Gwen to the bathroom.

Clear water flowed over Lynn's broad back.

Looking at the sharply defined muscles before her, Gwen secretly swallowed, then smiled at Lynn and said, "Let me scrub your body!"

As the steam continued to rise, water began to drip from the ceiling.

After breakfast, Lynn and Gwen cuddled together for a while before driving to the FBI in New York.

Inside the office.

"What has Steve Rogers been doing all this time?"

After finishing processing some documents, Lynn looked at Barbara and asked.

"He's still getting to know the world. Every day he either takes the subway to the Captain America Museum or sits in a coffee shop in Times Square drawing."

.

"Most of the time, he'd sit by the Hudson River lost in thought, but he had quite a few people secretly protecting him!"

Hearing Barbara say that, Lynn put down his pen and laughed, "Protect him? It's probably S.H.I.E.L.D. monitoring him!"

"After all, someone frozen for seventy years, even if he's the famous Captain America, Nick Fury..."

"Even Fury wouldn't feel at ease!"

Seeing Lynn get up, Barbara asked curiously, "Boss, are you going to check on Steve?"

Rogers?

Seeing Lynn nod, Barbara immediately took out several rare Captain America cards and said, "These aren't mine, boss, Joey asked me to."

"She's a Captain America fan and knew you'd definitely want to meet him, so she asked me to give you this card, hoping you could get Steve to sign it!"

Looking at the card Barbara handed him, Lynn chuckled and then said, "Tell Joey that I'll arrange for her to meet Captain America in person if I get the chance."

After saying that, Lynn left the office.

Lynn's meeting with Steve Rogers was not a spur-of-the-moment decision, but rather at the request of James Duke.

Although Alexander Pierce said that S.H.I.E.L.D. would recruit Captain America and make him work for Hydra in effect.

But that's Captain America, after all. How can Duke be at ease?

They couldn't recruit him into the New York FBI, and they certainly couldn't kill him right under S.H.I.E.L.D.'s nose.

So Duke thought about it for a long time and decided to have Lynn contact Steve Rogers.

While the FBI couldn't compete with S.H.I.E.L.D. for Captain America, Lynn's Illuminati could.

Once Steve Rogers joins the Illuminati, Lynn won't have to worry about Steve Rogers discovering anything under his watchful eye.

Coffee shops around Times Square in Manhattan.

Sitting in a chair, Steve Rogers held a pencil and was drawing the building in front of him.

"Are you here to wait for Iron Man too?"

The waitress brought over the coffee Steve had ordered, and looked at the tall, handsome man in front of her, who also exuded a melancholy air, and asked with a smile.

"What?"

When the woman asked him a question, Steve instinctively looked up; he had no idea what Iron Man was.

"Iron Man doesn't fly by here in his armor every day. If you want to see the armor in person, you'd better wait until Monday. He goes to Stark Tower every Monday."

"Stark Tower?"

Upon hearing that familiar surname, Steve Rogers asked, "Was it founded by Howard Stark?"

Thinking that Steve was pretending to be stupid, the waitress gave him a smile and then turned and left.

Watching her leave, Steve thought he had said something wrong again, so he continued to draw the building in front of him in his notebook.

Ever since I regained consciousness, these misunderstandings have occurred frequently.

"It's not that you said something wrong, but she thinks you're deliberately trying to pick her up. When she comes over again later, she might ask you to go to the movies."

Hearing a male voice beside him, Steve instinctively looked up.

When Steve saw the handsome young man in front of him holding a coffee and smiling at him, he nodded in acknowledgment.

Just as he was about to speak, he heard the young man continue, "Do you mind if I sit here?"

"Of course I don't mind."

When Lynn asked him a question, Steve gestured for him to leave.

"Thanks."

Sitting in a chair and taking a sip of his drink, Lynn smiled and said, "Actually, this era is pretty good, even though it might be a little unfamiliar to you."

"But compared to seventy years ago, this era has seen significant improvements in food, technology, healthcare, and entertainment."

Everything has changed dramatically.

Upon hearing Lynn's words, Steve's expression changed instantly, and he looked at Lynn with growing wariness.

"Who are you?"

Seeing Steve's wariness, Lynn smiled and said, "Don't be nervous. Let me introduce myself. I'm Lynn Hall, the deputy director of the FBI in New York."

"I've been watching you for days. Actually, I noticed you the moment you rushed out of the S.H.I.E.L.D. treatment room in Brooklyn."

At this point, Lynn extended his hand with a smile: "Welcome back, Mr. Steve Rogers."

Sensing that the young man in front of him meant no harm, Steve extended his hand and shook hands with Lynn.

Of course he knew about the FBI.

The FBI was originally established in 1908 as a detective agency commissioned by the then-President and created by the Attorney General.

It was named the Bureau of Investigation in May 1909, and it was not officially renamed the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) until 1935.

Steve Rogers crashed his plane into a glacier in 1945, so he knew about the FBI.

of.

Not far away.

"Sir, FBI Agent Lynn Hall from New York is speaking with Captain America. Should we stop them?"

Listening to the agent's report, Maria Hill said, "No need to stop them."

"receive!"

Upon hearing Hill's instructions, the S.H.I.E.L.D. agent continued drinking his coffee.

Inside S.H.I.E.L.D.

"Lynn Hall has officially contacted Captain America. Do you think he'll directly recruit Steve Rogers?"

Rogers?

In response to Hill's question, Nick Fury shook his head: "Probably not. Lynn probably just wants to make contact with him right now."

"Lynn will only extend an invitation after Steve has fully adapted to this era."

"After all, judging from all the cases he has handled since he joined the FBI, he never does anything without preparation."

Putting down his pen, Nick Fury handed the file to Hill: "File it. Don't put it into S.H.I.E.L.D.'s computer system. Whether it's the Illuminati or the Avengers, their primary purpose should be to protect the safety of this world!"

Hill took the documents from Nick Fury, nodded, and turned to leave.

After Hill left, Nick Fury looked at another document.

The contents of the document indicate that he ordered a department to be named after the Dark Matter Research Base.

Manhattan.

"The people from S.H.I.E.L.D. didn't mean any harm; they were just worried about what might happen to me in this unfamiliar world."

At this point, Steve chuckled self-deprecatingly: "After all, someone who has been asleep for nearly seventy years..."

"That old guy who's out of touch with the times, nobody knows what he'll do."

In response to Steve Rogers' self-deprecating humor, Lynn said seriously, "The FBI's duty is to protect the security of this country, but you were already doing that in 1945."

"In the hearts of the people, you will always be a legendary hero of this country."

"I believe that even seventy years from now, people will not forget you."

At this point, Lynn laughed and said, "Didn't you already visit the exhibition hall that the country specially set up for you? So you should know that what I'm saying is true."

Hearing Lynn say this, Steve recalled the pictures of his former teammates and his best friend Bucky that he had seen in the exhibition hall, and a trace of melancholy flashed in his eyes.

"Regardless, Captain Rogers, welcome back."

Lynn stood up and extended his hand to Steve, saying with a smile, "If you need anything or encounter any problems, feel free to contact me."

Seeing the name tag Lynn handed him, Steve stood up, took it, and shook hands with Lynn: "Thank you."

"You're welcome. After all, you've given everything for this country!"

After saying that, Lynn took his leave.

Watching Lynn leave, Steve Rogers glanced at the business card in his hand, then tucked it into his notebook.

"Excuse me, do you know Mr. Lynn Hall?"

The waitress, who had changed her clothes and was preparing to leave work to meet Steve, saw Lynn leave...

Then he asked Steve curiously.

Is he famous?

"Of course, that's Lynn Hall, a national hero!"

Seeing Steve's puzzled look, the waitress immediately began to introduce him.

Both James Duke and Nick Fury wanted Steve to join the Illuminati.

But Lynn did not choose to recruit directly.

After all, it was their first meeting, especially before Steve Rogers was familiar with the world.

It would be too rash of me to directly suggest that he join the Illuminati.

In fact, Lynn was also planning to have Steve join the Illuminati.

After all, once he joins the Illuminati, he will be able to sell Hydra in the future.

Mid-July, in Lynn's office.

Since becoming deputy director, Lynn's workload has increased.

Although Lynn doesn't usually need to go out on fieldwork, his desk has accumulated a lot of documents that require his approval.

Lynn Enlai was responsible for managing everything from the task force's funding applications and case filing to the documents issued by the Ministry of Justice and even the training department's affairs.

James Duke, that old guy, is getting more and more relaxed.

"Boss, have a cup of coffee."

Barbara placed the brewed coffee on Lynn's desk and said with a smile, "You've been dealing with the training department's affairs all morning, it's time for a break!"

Hearing Barbara's words, Lynn put down his pen and leaned against the table, saying, "The training department managers are a bunch of idiots. It's one thing that their ability to train new recruits is terrible, but they actually sent them to contact drug lords before they even had a proper investigation."

"Of the twenty-three new recruits, thirteen died before they even officially started working."

Seeing Lynn leaning back in his chair, Barbara walked over and gently massaged his head: "Such heavy losses? Boss, what are you planning to do with that guy?"

"The Department of Justice intervened and saved him, but I doubt he'll ever be able to work for any official organization again."

Lynn pulled Barbara by the hand and tugged her onto his body, gently pinching her pert buttocks before pressing her down under the desk.

Kneeling in front of Lynn, Barbara skillfully unzipped her pants and greeted little Lynn.

It has to be said that since following Lynn, Barbara has become increasingly articulate.

"call.

The fatigue from the morning gradually dissipated, and Lynn opened the system to take a look.

After Super Strength is upgraded to LV5, the Strength attribute also becomes 6. In addition, the Tenacity Body strengthens the body, making the Speed also 3.

Oh, the extraordinary ability of resilience is a new gift I received from Gwen this morning.

It can improve your physical fitness in all aspects.

After Barbara finished cleaning, she asked with a smile, "How's your dad doing lately?"

"I was specially hired by Professor X to be a doctor at the Mutant Academy."

Upon hearing Lynn's question, Barbara smiled and said, "I never imagined that after spending half my life as a doctor for the Brotherhood of Mutants in the black market, I would now become a doctor at the Mutant Academy."

"But this is good, it saves my dad from having nothing to do all the time."

As the two were talking, Lynn's phone suddenly rang.

I picked up the phone and glanced at it, only to find that it was Gwen calling.

As soon as Lynn answered the phone, she heard Gwen say with a sob in her voice, "Lynn, something's happened. Dad was shot and taken to the hospital. He's still undergoing surgery."

Upon hearing Gwen's words, Lynn immediately stood up from his chair.

After getting the hospital address, Lynn immediately headed towards the hospital.

The car sped along the road, and Lynn arrived at the hospital in less than twelve minutes, covering a journey that usually takes more than thirty minutes.

We arrived at the operating room on the third floor, where the operation was still in progress.

Several police officers were standing guard there, while Gwen, with red eyes, sat with Aunt Helen.

Upon seeing Lynn arrive, Gwen immediately threw herself into Lynn's arms.

Gently comforting Gwen, who was crying with worry, Lynn looked at one of the sheriffs and asked, "Chris, what happened? How did Uncle George get shot?"

Although Lynn's expression was calm, his gaze was extremely cold.

The aura emanating from him was so powerful that even the veteran sheriff Chris subconsciously took a step back.

"Don't worry, Lynn, George will be alright."

Aunt Helen stepped forward and gently patted Lynn's arm, offering words of comfort.

The calmer Lynn remained, the more it revealed the extent of his anger.

Helen, who raised him from the age of six, naturally knew just how terrifying Lynn was in this state.

Just like when Gwen was bullied by older students when they were kids, and Lynn rushed to the school to tell her, "George was just shot in the left shoulder, but he's not in any life-threatening danger." Helen pulled Lynn down to sit and said softly.

Lynn breathed a sigh of relief after hearing that Uncle George was out of danger.

Family has always been Lynn's Achilles' heel. Whoever hurts his family will face Lynn's cruelest revenge!

"Sheriff Chris, what exactly happened?"

When Lynn asked again, Sheriff Chris replied, "This morning we received a report of a crashed helicopter found on the banks of the Hudson River."

"When we arrived at the scene, we discovered that someone had murdered the helicopter pilot and passengers."

"Because the passengers in the helicopter were very important, as they were the heads of a money laundering organization we had been investigating, the director personally led a team to arrest the suspects."

"After we located the suspect, a shootout ensued, and the police chief was also shot in the left shoulder!"

Hearing Sheriff Chris's words, Lynn frowned and asked, "Where is the suspect?"

"Although we killed the suspect's accomplice, he escaped under the cover of his accomplice after being shot."

"We suspect this person's identity is also unusual, because the police system can't find the suspect's identity at all!"

While comforting Gwen, Lynn prepared to take out his phone to call Alice, as she listened to Chief Chris's explanation.

Before the call could even connect, the operating room door was pushed open.

Seeing the doctor come out, Lynn immediately stood up and went over: "Doctor, how is Uncle George?"

In response to Lynn's question, the doctor said, "Don't worry, Mr. Hall, the bullet in Chief George's left shoulder has been removed, and he is not in any danger."

"He just needs to rest for a few months. He's still under the effects of the anesthesia and should wake up in about an hour."

Hearing the doctor's words, Lynn's heart finally settled down.

After helping the doctor move Uncle George to a private room, Lynn stayed by the bedside and said to Sheriff Chris, "You guys go back first. Aunt Helen and I can stay here."

"Send me a sketch of the suspect when you get back."

Hearing Lynn say this, Sheriff Chris nodded.

He glanced at the unconscious George Stacy, then left with his men.

After the police left, Lynn took out his phone and dialed: "Alice, bring a few brothers to the hospital."

After hanging up the phone, Lynn looked at the worried Gwen and gently comforted her.

When Alice's team arrived from the FBI, George Stacy was still unconscious.

"This is a photo of the criminal, Alice. I don't care what methods you use, you have to find him, even if you have to dig three feet into the ground!"

Looking at the photo Lynn sent, Alice immediately nodded: "It's the boss!"

"Leave a few others to guard outside the ward to prevent the criminal's accomplices from retaliating."

As he spoke, Lynn looked at Helen and said, "Aunt Helen, members of the FBI task force will be with you for the next few days."

"Lynn, are you saying the criminal who assaulted my father will retaliate?"

In response to Gwen's question, Lynn shook his head: "I'm not sure, but according to Sheriff Chris, the criminal's identity must be unusual."

"There is no information about him in the police system, and he also has connections with the largest money laundering organization in the area, so there must be a more powerful criminal organization behind the criminal."

.

"Gwen, until I've thoroughly investigated this matter and dealt with these people, the best course of action is to have the action team protect you!"

After understanding Lynn's words, Gwen nodded: "Don't worry, I'll stay with Mom for a while."

As they were talking, Uncle George, who was in the hospital bed, gradually woke up.

Seeing that Uncle George had opened his eyes, Lynn and the others immediately rushed forward with concern.

After regaining consciousness, looking at her family members whose eyes were filled with worry, George Stacy smiled and said:

Don't worry, I just accidentally got bitten by a bullet.

Seeing Uncle George struggling to sit up, Lynn took out a cushion and placed it on the headboard, then helped him sit up.

After receiving a look from Lynn, Alice turned and left.

She could hear the raging fury in her boss's calm tone!

With Lynn's order issued, the entire FBI in New York immediately sprang into action.

Satellites began a comprehensive search for the suspect, and surveillance footage from every corner of the city was retrieved.

All agents and field agents within the FBI in New York who were not currently on assignment began investigating pharmacies and clinics.

Even many FBI informants have started to become active.

As the FBI in New York launched a large-scale investigation, all parties involved were alarmed.

Many people were trying to find out what had happened, and even gang members hid at the same time, fearing that they would be targeted by the FBI.

After all, it hasn't been long since the FBI in New York went on a massive crackdown on them!

"Have you found out exactly what happened?"

Inside Hell's Kitchen.

Kingpin sat in the chair and asked.

"Huh?"

When Kingpin asked him a question, Bullseye, who was twirling his dagger, looked up with a somewhat blank expression.

The secretary immediately replied, "Boss, I heard that George Stacy was shot, so Mr. Lynn Hall has ordered a city-wide manhunt for the criminal!"

17

Upon seeing that King wasn't asking him anything, Bullseye lowered his head again and started playing with his dagger.

After hearing his secretary's report, Kingpin thought for a few seconds and then said, "Notify our underground agents in New York to dig out the person Mr. Hall is looking for!"

"What can we do to help him?"

Bullseye, looking up again, asked Kingpin with some confusion, "Boss, what are we doing for Lynn Hall? He's an official organization, we're a gang."

"If we move our people around, he might mistakenly think we're planning something big, and then turn his guns on us. That would be a huge disadvantage!"

Hearing Bullseye's thoughtless words, Kingpin looked at his secretary and said, "Get to work."

"Okay, boss."

Seeing that Kim wasn't listening to his advice, Bullseye lowered his head and pursed his lips.

The boss always says he's not smart, and in my opinion, he'll suffer a great loss because of Lynn Hall sooner or later.

After all, Lynn is a very capable guy!

As New York's underground forces also mobilized, all the pharmacies and clinics on the New York black market were raided.

Even the police officers cooperating with the FBI were shocked by the actions of the gangs throughout the city.

They never expected that Lynn's simple order would get those arrogant gang members to cooperate!

In just half an hour, a clue was found.

After receiving Alice's message, Lynn told Uncle George to rest assured and then drove back to the FBI in New York.

Inside S.H.I.E.L.D. in New York.

"That's Lynn Hall's power. With just one word, he can mobilize all official organizations, and even the underground forces in New York will actively come forward to help."

Upon hearing Nick Fury's words, Steve, who was looking at the Illuminati materials, looked up: "You mean,

Which gangs is Lynn Hall connected to?

Steve still had a good impression of Lynn Hall.

Whether it was the first impression Lynn left on him when they first met, or the waitress's idol-like praise of Lynn, it all came down to it.

Or perhaps it was the various deeds of Lynn that he investigated after returning home.

He believed that Lynn was an upright, kind, and responsible person.

Therefore, he was somewhat skeptical of Nick Fury's words.

Unless, Nick Fury knows something that he doesn't.

"It's not that Lynn Hall has connections with New York gangs, but it has to be admitted that Lynn Hall is too young right now."

Looking at Steve, Nick Fury said, "While I trust Lynn's character, youth is always easily deceived."

"Especially since he was the deputy director of the FBI in New York and also founded the Illuminati."

"Such a person will be sought after by all parties, so he needs a guide who can help him at crucial moments."

Steve remained silent upon hearing Nick Fury's words.

Someone who just turned 25 and rose to the position of deputy director of the FBI in New York without relying on connections—would such a person be easily deceived?

Steve knew perfectly well what Nick Fury was implying: he wanted him to join the Illuminati.

If I could become Lynn Hall's mentor, then perhaps I could take control of the Illuminati and make them obey S.H.I.E.L.D.'s orders.

But Steve didn't want to do that. He knew about the Illuminati and knew that everything they did was to protect the people of New York.

Such an organization is good, and it does not need to obey the orders of any organization; otherwise, the Illuminati would sooner or later become a weapon for some people to fight for power.

"Don't worry, I'm not like that. It's just that the Illuminati does need our oversight!"

Upon hearing Nick Fury's words, Steve stood up and said, "Although I haven't integrated into this world yet and don't know what it's like."

?,

"But I'm glad that after I woke up, I knew that this country had people like Lynn Hall."

"This proves that my decision to crash the plane into the glacier back then was the right one!"

After expressing his views, Steve Rogers turned and left.

Inside the FBI in New York.

"Boss, after that criminal was shot, he will definitely go to a clinic or pharmacy to buy medicine to treat gunshot wounds."

"So we questioned small clinics and pharmacies throughout the city and discovered that the perpetrator had undergone surgery at a black market clinic."

"According to the doctor at the black market clinic, he also stole the clinic doctor's phone after the surgery."

As he spoke, Joey pointed to the information on the big screen and said, "We tracked the doctor's phone call technically and found that he dialed a landline number after he stole the phone."

"Alice has already led a team to the landline address; they should have some success!"

Upon hearing Joey's words, Lynn asked, "Have you found out the criminal's identity information?"

No!

When Lynn asked, Joey shook his head and said, "I compared his photo with data in a global database, but unfortunately I couldn't find any information about him."

As the two were talking, they saw Alice escorting in a black man who had been shot in both legs.

"Boss, when we got to the address Joey provided, we found this guy was preparing to escape through the back door."

Upon seeing us, it tried to retaliate by firing its gun, but we shot it in both legs!

"If it weren't for the need to keep him alive, we would have shot him dead on the spot!"

Seeing the black man trembling with pain, Lynn immediately had Alice take him to the interrogation room.

Inside the interrogation room.

"F..FUXX, you should be taking me to the hospital now, not interrogating me!"

As he was forced onto the interrogation chair, the black man roared at Lynn, "Even if I am a criminal, I still have human rights, and besides, you have no evidence of my crimes."

Hearing the black man's angry roar, Lynn slammed his head heavily onto the interrogation table.

Hearing the man's screams, Lynn held up a picture of the criminal who had injured Uncle George: "Where is this guy?"

Upon seeing the photo, the black man's pupils visibly contracted.

"I don't know him, you've got the wrong person, FUXX. I'm an American citizen, I need medical treatment."

You can't treat me like this!

"Stubborn to the end?"

Hearing the black man's roar, Lynn's expression turned cold.

"Boss, hand him over to me!"

Seeing the black man's stubbornness, Alice stepped forward and said.

"No need, I'll keep this black guy company and have some fun!"

As he spoke, Lynn took a dagger from his waist.

"You... damn it, what do you want to do?"

The moment he saw the dagger, the black man struggled to back away.

But the fixed chair in the interrogation room left him with no way to escape, and Lynn even pressed his hand directly onto the table.

Upon seeing this, Alice turned and led her people away from the interrogation room.

Alice and the others completely ignored their boss's comment about "nigger".

The FBI does have Black employees, but none of them are Black and can become the boss's true confidants!

"ah!!!"

Standing at the door of the interrogation room, I heard painful screams coming from inside.

One of the henchmen looked at Alice and said, "Alice, what are we doing out here? It's a good opportunity for me to learn the boss's interrogation techniques."

"You might need it in the future."

Hearing her subordinate's words, Alice raised an eyebrow and said, "What, want to advance?"

"Who doesn't want to advance? I'm already S14 now, and the boss is a deputy director. There's a vacancy for the supervisor position. If you hadn't just recently become assistant supervisors, one of you might have been able to take over by now."

"But I reckon it'll be soon. They can't just parachute a manager over from headquarters, can they? Then..."

Before he could finish speaking, another series of violent screams erupted from the interrogation room.

Hearing the screams rise in pitch, Alice went outside.

"Where are we going?"

"Medical room, get the adrenaline. The boss is clearly furious right now."

After saying that, Alice quickly left.

A short while later, when Alice returned to the interrogation room, she saw Lynn open the door.

Seeing this, Alice immediately handed over the adrenaline, and then the interrogation room door was closed again!

Seeing this, the subordinate gave Alice a thumbs up: "How did you know the boss would want adrenaline?"

"How long have I been following the boss around? You guys should learn a thing or two!"

A few minutes later, when the interrogation room door opened, Lynn shook the blood off his hands and said to Alice, "Take care of yourself, then get ready. We're heading to Ohio in ten minutes!"

"yes!"

Seeing her boss head towards the restroom, Alice immediately led her people to prepare.

The S14 agent who was speaking glanced subconsciously into the interrogation room, and then his lips twitched uncontrollably.

"This incident has caused quite a stir; even the city hall is asking me what happened," Duke said with a smile as he watched Lynn walk in.

"Hug the bureau chief."

Hearing Lynn say this, Duke smiled and waved his hand: "There's nothing to apologize for. It would be most shameful for an FBI agent to not find the killer after their family member was shot."

"Besides, the injured person is the NYPD commissioner. Have you investigated this matter thoroughly?"

"It has been investigated and confirmed."
