The calm skies over Manhattan.

"My God, what is that thing?"

"Oh my god, this looks like a scene from a sci-fi movie!"

"God, this is so cool!"

As gasps of surprise echoed through the streets, everyone instinctively looked up at the sky.

A set of extremely cool gold and red armor flew through the air, and every time it flew over a place, there were endless exclamations and camera flashes from the ground.

Inside the armor.

Hearing the shocked expressions of the crowd below, Tony Stark said with great pleasure, "Jarvis, this is how ordinary people react when they first see the Mark armor."

"The exception is someone like Lynn, who asked me the moment he saw the armor that he could turn it into a bracelet!"

"Continue to increase flight power. Although I'm trying to keep a low profile, since I promised Lynn, I feel I should do my best!"

In response to Tony Stark's "humility," Jarvis quipped, "Sir, you are indeed a very 'low-key' person, not enjoying the spotlight at all."

"Jarvis, after this upgrade, you've definitely gone astray!"

As Tony Stark piloted his armor, he said, "Jarvis, find some reporters. Let's make a spectacular entrance!"

"Sir, there's a New York Times reporter buying a hot dog from a stand three blocks away, and she's accompanied by a cameraman!"

"If that's the case, then what are we waiting for?"

After saying that, Tony Stark flew directly three blocks away!

After buying a hot dog from a stall, the female reporter complained to the cameraman while eating it, "Fuck you, these misers who are so stingy with their informant fees should be hung on a lamppost!"

"If we don't pay our informants enough, where are we going to find news that's truly eye-catching? Do we expect explosive news to just fall from the sky?"

"I'm a graduate of a prestigious university with a degree in journalism, and now I'm reduced to searching for news on the streets!"

While eating a hot dog and complaining, the female reporter didn't hear the usual "pursuer's" echoing voice, so she subconsciously turned to him.

When he saw his suitor, he stared wide-eyed at the sky as if he had seen a ghost.

The female reporter frowned and asked, "What are you looking at?"

As she spoke, the female reporter also looked up at the sky.

When he saw the cool suit of armor in the air, his eyes widened in astonishment.

Especially when she saw "it" land directly in front of the hot dog stand, the hot dog in the female reporter's hand fell to the ground.

"Give me a hot dog, please."

Landing in front of the stall, Tony Stark deliberately pretended not to see the female reporter over there.

After she excitedly ran over with the microphone, Tony Stark opened his visor and said, "Wow, beautiful, is that hot dog on the ground yours? Don't tell me I scared you!"

"If that's the case, then I'll compensate you with a hot dog!"

As he spoke, Tony Stark gestured to the vendor to give her a hot dog.

When the visor opened, the person inside the armor turned out to be Tony Stark.

The female reporter ignored the hot dog the vendor offered her and excitedly asked into the microphone, "My God, Mr. Stark? I can't believe it's you! Is this cool mech your latest creation?"

"This is absolutely amazing! It feels like watching a sci-fi movie, Mr. Stark. Is this mech the latest weapon developed by Stark Industries? Didn't you say you were going to permanently shut it down...?"

"Hey, hey, calm down, okay?"

Seeing the female reporter excitedly shove the microphone to his mouth, Tony Stark shrugged and said, "This isn't a weapon; it's just a prosthetic limb!"

"Also, do you think it's cool?"

"Of course, Mr. Stark, this is truly a revolutionary product."

"You have a good eye. After all, this is something only a genius could create. Of course, I only used one-fifth of my intelligence to make this mechanical prosthetic."

Tony Stark acted as if it were perfectly natural when faced with the female reporter's praise.

He pulled out a twenty-dollar bill from somewhere and handed it to the stall owner, saying, "Give this beautiful lady another hot dog, it's on me!"

After saying that, Tony Stark controlled his armor and flew away.

"Oh my god, oh my god, this is absolutely amazing!"

Waving her microphone, the female reporter excitedly asked her colleague carrying the camera, "Did you get the footage? Justin, we're heading back to the office right away."

"Our bonuses this month will definitely double!"

After saying that, the female reporter excitedly ran towards the car.

Two hours later, on the edge of the town shrouded in thick fog.

"Boss, right now the internet is full of videos of Tony Stark flying in his armor. Some are taken by passersby, and some are news reports from the New York Times."

"In just two hours, the photos and videos have been viewed over a million times, and Tony Stark has become the center of attention!"

Hearing Alice's words, Lynn Hall, while eating his lunchbox, said, "I expected this, considering what's happening in this small town."

"Tony Stark and the never-before-seen armor will attract more attention."

"By the way, is there any result yet for the pattern I drew?"

In response to Lynn's question, Alice picked up her laptop and said, "We found it, boss. The people in the IT department searched and compared the image you drew online."

"It was eventually discovered that this was related to a sacrificial ritual of a tribe in Eastern Europe, and based on the clues, our colleagues in the information department had also seen a record of it in a book published by a occult expert."

At this point, Alice looked at Lynn and said, "Boss, this expert in mysticism was once a professor at Yale University, and you even attended his classes!"

"Yeah?"

Upon hearing Alice's words, Lynn Hall put down his lunchbox and took the notebook to read.

Lynn Hall only remembered after seeing the professor on the computer screen.

I not only attended his classes, but I also read his book on mysticism in my spare time.

That book describes mysterious rituals from around the world and even lists legendary figures such as demons and angels.

This includes the pattern in the town.

No wonder I felt a sense of familiarity when I first saw that strange pattern, but I couldn't quite place it.

However, was that pattern used for sacrifice?

When Lynn turned to the section about the mysterious patterns, he frowned after just one glance.

They sacrifice their lives, selling their souls to demons in hell in order to gain mysterious power.

So, are the residents of this town actually sacrifices in an evil ritual?
