Harry Potter, the savior of Night City

Chapter 91: Just Wiping a Butt?

Harry continued studying the spellbooks in his room. He tried giving wands and other magical items to the priest to see if the Night City natives could use magic, but the result was obvious: he failed. Using the Triangulum's magical loops, he found that the priest was not a Muggle. On the contrary, the priest possessed excellent magical talent, but most of the magical power that could be drawn into his body was blocked by his prosthetic body, which prevented him from using magic.

"It seems that only by giving the prosthetic body a mechanical soul or artificially carving magical circuits on the prosthetic body can someone like the priest use magic."

Harry thought to himself, but his prosthetic practice was currently facing obstacles. For example, when he tried to carve on his mantis knife, he was still slapped hard across the face by the knife.

"I've got an 80% success rate now, can't you trust me just this once?" Harry said, looking at the retracted mantis knife.

"roll..."

The mantis knife bared its tip with annoyance, conveyed a single word to Harry, and then withdrew it again.

"Really..."

"Harry, there's a job, wanna go?" Mann said bluntly, "The kind that can make a lot of money."

"Okay, nothing much's been happening lately," Harry said nonchalantly. He felt like his prosthetic body was about to rust after not having any missions for the past few days. (The Machine Soul was displeased and had the Mantis Knife slap him.)

"Okay, this afternoon, Santo Domingo district, I'll send you the location."

"it is good"

"Alright, have a good meal and get to work." Harry stood up from the table, stretched, inserted Yinglong behind his back, and put his wand back into his body, getting ready for everything.

In a small room next to an electronic waste processing plant in the Santo Domingo district.

"This mission was issued by someone called 'K,' who seems to be a new middleman, but that's not important. What's important is that if we do a good job, we can make a fortune," Mann said, sitting on the sofa.

"What exactly are we supposed to do?" Qiwei asked Mann, standing in the shadows.

"Clean up the company's mess," Mann sent the task information to everyone.

"Those guys from the Sixth Street Gang robbed a run-down electronics waste processing plant. Little did they know, this plant was outsourced by a military technology company to process scrap parts and find experimental samples. This task was originally supposed to be done by that company guy himself, but he was robbed after outsourcing it. Now he's rolling on the ground in a panic, paying a lot of money to have someone clean up his mess."

"That's typical of the guys at that company," Harry chuckled. "So, how does he want us to clean up his mess?"

"These idiots from the Sixth Street gang robbed something pretty important in this warehouse, and it looks like it's packed in a very secure box," Mann sent the mission objective to the team channel. "As for these Sixth Street gang guys, live or die, I only have one requirement: keep it quiet."

"Understood." Rebecca slung the Killer sword Harry had given her back on her back and switched to two small pistols. Since they were asking for something quieter, pistols were the only option.

"Rebecca, you and Harry sneak in and steal it. Kevy, Lucy, connect their prosthetic eyes and hack the obstacles in the way. Pilaf, create a power outage, then come with me and Dorio and pretend to be from the power repair department to distract them. Falco, be ready to provide backup."

The task was very simple and clear, and the division of labor was also perfect. Pila went first to create a small local power outage.

Harry and Rebecca were crouching by the factory wall, having already found a good spot to sneak in, just waiting for the power to go out.

Pira's work went smoothly. The power supply for these old factories is usually connected to one place, and there must be a backup generator inside the factory. However, for those old machines that have been running for ten years, it takes some time to start them up.

"Sizzle..."

A faint crackling sound of electricity rang out, and the entire factory was plunged into darkness in an instant.

"What the hell is this crap?" The captain, who was guarding the gate, was about to take off when a power outage caused his plane to crash.

"Hey you, go start that backup generator." A man who looked like a foreman was directing people at the loading and unloading area outside the factory.

"Got it..." a weak voice replied. "Damn it, this broken generator isn't even automatic..."

Meanwhile, Harry had already dragged Rebecca into the factory.

"There are eight people outside the factory," Lucy's voice came through the team channel. "I suggest you go up to the roof. The factory blueprints say there's a trapdoor on the roof; you should be able to open it."

"receive."

Harry and Rebecca crouched and walked slowly. If they encountered anyone on the way, they simply twisted their necks and threw their trash in the bins. Everything went very smoothly. Even when they went down the ladder from the roof, they were not discovered by any gang members.

"There are ten people on the first floor of the factory now. Mann and his team have already arrived at the factory gate. They have attracted some attention. You two take this opportunity to go down quickly. The target is in the warehouse on the basement floor."

Harry was on the platform, scanning the factory with the Crossroads. While the power outage had been a great help, the inability to start machines and attract enemies while sneaking around was still a bit of a hassle.

Harry gestured to Rebecca, pointed to the lone man below, and made a downward-pressing gesture. Rebecca nodded, seized the opportunity on the platform, and leaped down, kicking the guy in the back of the neck, instantly sending him into a sweet sleep.

The sound was muffled and did not attract the attention of the other members who were slacking off. Rebecca lowered the ladder on the platform, and Harry climbed down.

Following the map provided in the team chat, we easily made our way underground. Although there were quite a few of these Sixth Street gang members, they were as fragile as paper, the kind that would crumble at the slightest touch. They couldn't do anything to us in the open above ground, let alone underground.

Just then, the backup generator started up, and the factory lights came on again. But there was nothing to be careful about now; everyone underground had either gone to heaven or hell.

Harry and Rebecca eliminated the last gang member, then looked at the warehouse door and told Lucy and the others to open it by hacking it open.

The gates of such old factories look heavy, but that's all they are; if a hacker comes along, it's no different than if they were opened with a key.

"That's the mission objective." Qiwei highlighted a box in Harry's eyes.

The box was entirely black, about the size of a briefcase, but it was very tightly sealed, and a chip was placed on top of it.

"Let's see if we can crack it. Let's take the box out." Harry inserted the chip into the slot behind his ear, picked up the box, and returned the way they came with Rebecca, sending the information about their successful capture to Mann and the others.

He got back to the car very easily, even too easily. The task didn't deserve its reward. Harry felt something was off, but he couldn't quite put his finger on what it was.

The chip was given to Lucy and Qiwei for their help in cracking it. Mann carried the box to deliver the goods and successfully received a large sum of money. Everything seemed so perfect.
