Harry Potter, the savior of Night City

Chapter 87 Welcome and Cleansing Ceremony

"Aaaaaaaahhhhh!"

In a rented room in the H4 skyscraper in the Santo Domingo district, a young man wearing the Mewtwo Ring screamed in agony, his hands pressed against his head, his body trembling violently.

Divine Physician: [So, what do you think? That marginalized person died just two hours ago, and we extracted his memories while they were still warm—completely untainted.]

David: [That's awesome, Doctor! Your Mewtwo is amazing! Holy crap, the Terrorist Squad is dead!]

David took off the Mewtwo headband, his whole body trembling with excitement.

Divine Doctor: [Hahahaha, it's all thanks to Jilin and Heilongjiang, it's his masterpiece, of course, it's illegal.]

David: [My head... Ugh, I'm so dizzy, I feel like throwing up.]

[Damn, that cyber psychopath wiped out the Terrorist Mobile Squad. With that kind of overload, it'd be a miracle if a little kid like you could handle it. Alright, now we're moving on to Mewtwo.]

David: What's next?

[A special one...]

Ah... awesome!

The Mewtwo headband was put on again, and a new chip was inserted.

The banned content was slowly played out...

"What the ffffffffffffuck!!?"

......

Turbo Bar, where Mann's team is welcoming Harry back.

To be honest, Harry's heart skipped a beat when he saw that the team wasn't all there. He was relieved when he found out that Pila had forgotten to fix the car and was late. Thank goodness, nothing bad has happened in the past few months.

"Harry, out making big money? Hahahaha." Mann put his arm around Harry's neck and pointed at the thugs Harry had driven in.

Pila lay sprawled on top of the thug, sniffing intensely as if she could smell the fragrance. "This luxurious scent, this beautiful curve, ah~~~" she uttered a strange, climax-like moan.

"You idiot! That's so embarrassing!"

Rebecca grabbed a bottle and smashed it hard on Pila's head. Pila saw stars and turned to confront Rebecca.

"Alright, alright, let's just enjoy this happy occasion tonight, stop arguing." Dorio helplessly separated the two to prevent them from continuing to quarrel.

Rebecca tossed her green hair, no longer looking at Pila, and quickly walked over to Harry, nudging him with her elbow. "Harry, how have you been these past few months?"

"To be honest, it's not that great. The only thing that gives me any comfort is that I've made some money."

"You can't say you've made 'some' money..." Pila said as she walked over. "You're practically robbing a bank."

"It's not that exaggerated."

The group chatted and laughed as they found a table outside and sat down. Soon after, several cases of liquor that Mann often ordered were brought to them.

"For Harry!" Mann shouted, raising his bottle, and the rest of the team followed suit, raising their bottles as well.

"For Harry!"

Harry watched the scene unfold before him, said nothing, raised the bottle in his hand, and shouted.

"For our future!"

With that, Harry downed his vodka in one gulp.

"It seems this journey has really changed you a lot..." Mann laughed. "The future is a luxury."

"Especially for someone like you who wants to turn himself into Adam Hammer," Dorio said irritably from the side. "Do you want to become a cyberbully like Lieutenant James?"

"Wait a minute!" Harry exclaimed in surprise. "You mean, the lieutenant has become a cybernetic psychopath?"

"He couldn't withstand the pressure from the prosthetic body and didn't make it through," Mann replied.

"He's practically a legend now. He wiped out an entire terrorist squad, and now the company has raised the price of the same brand of prosthetics that Lieutenant James is wearing," Rebecca said, picking up where Mann left off.

Harry paused for a moment. The future? In Night City? For a mercenary? That was something that never existed. They weren't corporate dogs; how could they deserve a future? Thinking this, Harry suddenly realized that if it were something from the magical world, perhaps it really could grant them that distant future.

"Mann, here you go." Harry shoved a large bottle of Soul Soothing Potion into Mann's hand.

"What is this?" Mann held the bottle up in the air and looked at it from all angles. Under the spotlight, the Soul Soothing Agent emitted a faint blue glow.

"I stole it from inside the company. It's a special supply for the company dogs; it increases the volume of prosthetic bodies." Harry made up a flimsy excuse. "I've tried it myself; it works. Just two sips at a time."

"What the heck!?"

A casual remark nearly made Pira flip the table: "Increase prosthetic capacity! This thing can increase prosthetic capacity! That means it can enhance the human brain's neural pathways. Even the Arasaka Corporation, which created Adam Hammer, couldn't build it, and now Harry says he stole it?!"

Everyone immediately sat up straight. If this bottle really had the same effect as Harry described, then it would be truly priceless.

Mann pretended not to care and stuffed the whole bottle of medicine into his pocket. He had thought about returning it to Harry, after all, this thing was too precious, precious enough to buy the lives of all of them. Everyone present knew that this thing could not possibly be from the company. If it was a special supply from the company, how could the location be known by outsiders?

"I really owe him a huge favor..." Mann sighed inwardly. He looked at the specific usage information Harry had sent him from the corner of his eye, thinking about how to repay the favor. But the more he thought about it, the more he realized that he had nothing to give back.

"Rebecca." While Mann was still in a daze and hadn't reacted, Harry looked up at Rebecca and pulled out a shotgun that was rather large for her from behind his back. "This is for you."

Rebecca walked over to Harry, took the gun, and breathed a slight sigh of relief. She didn't want to bear the psychological pressure if it were something as precious as the potion she had just received.

"This is... Slaughter?" Rebecca stared at the pure, brutally beautiful shotgun in her hand, its black paint reflecting the metallic sheen. "Wait, why is the Slaughter so heavy?"

Harry chuckled. "This isn't your average killing spree; it's an aviation-grade special edition. The gun body is made of aerospace-grade metal, which is far superior to those cheap, poorly made ones. Moreover, the cylinder has been upgraded from four to six rounds, without sacrificing any of its lethality."

Rebecca stared at the gun in her hand, her prosthetic eye practically sparkling with admiration. It was a gun that perfectly matched her aesthetic: large, powerful, durable, and with a large magazine capacity. The only drawback was its price, which was dozens or even hundreds of times higher than a regular gun, especially considering the added bonus of a special edition.

At this welcome party, Harry gave each of his teammates a rather luxurious gift (the rest of the gifts were simply because I couldn't think of anything else to give). The team also allowed Harry to rediscover a completely different feeling in the magical world, and unsurprisingly, Harry got completely drunk again.

When he woke up, he felt nauseous and vomited all over the person in front of him.

Harry opened his eyes and found that Mann was covered in vomit and staring at him speechlessly. Harry quickly got up and felt something pressing on his hand. He turned his head and saw Rebecca still lying next to him, with Pila watching the scene with a sly grin.

Harry stared at everything before him, his mind going blank, and he uttered a sound:

"what?"

Rebecca was woken up and saw everything, especially the smirking Pila and the bewildered Harry. Her mind went blank for a moment. Could something really have happened? Weren't they supposed to avoid that feeling after drinking? Was Harry putting on a show?

"Don't be confused. The first thing Pila did this morning was to throw the two of you together. Nothing happened," Dorio said from the side, completely oblivious to Pila's expression, while also blocking the door completely.

Soon after...

Harry, clutching Pira's two prosthetic arms, and Rebecca, dragging her like a dead dog, pulled the handless and delirious Pira out of the room. (As for why they weren't at home, the priest has something to say; see the previous chapter about Harry getting drunk for details.)
