Harry Potter, the savior of Night City

Chapter 65 Dumbledore, are you going to sacrifice her?!

"Fred!! George!!!"

The red envelope, twice the size of a normal letter, floated into the air and transformed into a gaping maw. Mrs. Weasley's roar emanated from within, drawing the attention of everyone in the Great Hall.

"Do you have any idea how worried your father and I were when we found you were missing! Stealing a car and flying to Hogwarts, how could you even think of that?!"

Mrs. Weasley's yelling continued, and Fred and George sat obediently in their chairs, covering their ears with their hands, which, of course, did nothing to help.

"Headmaster Dumbledore sent a letter yesterday. I really didn't know you were so bold! Setting off fireworks at Hogwarts, and then brazenly stopping them in front of the main gate! We've raised you with so much hardship, and what have you done?! Luckily, you still have some sense of shame and didn't let the Muggles see. I'm telling you two, if you cause me any more trouble, you'd better get back here!!!"

The roaring stopped, and the red envelope burned to ashes. Fred and George smiled wryly as they swept the ashes off the table. The person sitting next to them had also suffered an undeserved fate and was still dazed.

"Mom is really angry."

"Dad must feel the same way."

The two exchanged a glance and decided to settle down. "Hmm, let's not go out at night tonight. We still have things to study."

Harry shook his head. Good heavens, the angry Mrs. Weasley and the angry Mrs. Wells were evenly matched. Harry even saw Mrs. Wells' shadow when that roar came out.

"Mom's really angry now." Ron shrank back.

"But I don't think they'll stay quiet for more than a day," Hermione said.

"Agreed," Ron agreed.

Harry didn't say anything more. He got up and went to find Dumbledore. He walked out of the Great Hall, stood under the Headmaster's Tower, looked at the long list of candies the Headmaster had given him, and then looked up at the Headmaster's office above. He made his decision, and the Mantis Knife shot out again, embedding itself in the stone wall of the tower.

"What a beautiful day..." Dumbledore opened the window, breathing in the fresh air and marveling at the beauty of life. He was wearing pajamas and holding a cup of sweet yet bitter black tea.

"What's the weather like today... Ha, Harry Potter?" Dumbledore was about to check the weather when he saw Harry Potter climbing up like a spider.

"Hey, he actually opened the window for me today." Harry greeted Dumbledore, who looked at Harry speechlessly and stepped aside to let him in.

"Well, what brings you here so early in the morning?" Dumbledore asked Harry as he sat down by the fireplace.

"Voldemort has infiltrated," Harry said, getting straight to the point. "And I think he's in a child."

"Serena, right? I know her," Dumbledore said. "I noticed something was wrong with her during the Sorting Ceremony. When the Sorting Hat was put on her head and the power of the four houses erupted from her, I knew something was wrong."

"So you're not going to do anything about it?"

"Harry, Harry, don't be so hasty." Dumbledore took a sip of tea. "We still don't know whether Voldemort is parasitizing her or how he got in, so we can't alert him now. If he gets away, it will be a loss."

"You mean, sacrifice her?" Harry couldn't help but ask. "You mean you're going to sacrifice a completely innocent child!?"

"Harry," Dumbledore said slowly, looking at Harry, "While we should try our best to avoid any sacrifice, there will always be sacrifices on the road to success."

"Dumbledore! She's still a child! An eleven-year-old child!" Harry stood up and shouted at Dumbledore.

"You are a child too, but your role is greater than hers. If sacrificing her leads to victory and the elimination of Voldemort, then all sacrifices are absolutely worthwhile!" Dumbledore said resolutely. He had already come to some understanding and was no longer bothered to pretend.

"I'm 17 already! Don't try to fool me with the kid excuse!"

"Then you're just a child, Harry," Dumbledore said, showing no surprise whatsoever. "Whether you're 17 or 12, you're still just a child. With you, we can kill Voldemort. On this path, we must be of one mind."

"I cannot accept letting a child die in vain, without even knowing why she is dying!" Harry roared at Dumbledore. No matter what he did, he could not accept letting a child die for some damned great cause, without even knowing why she was dying.

"Harry! Voldemort has taken root in her soul, she's beyond saving!" Dumbledore said to Harry, "just like Quirrell."

"..." Harry stared silently at Dumbledore, the mantis knife on his arm popping out and then retracting, giving Dumbledore one last deep look.

"I'm leaving now..." Harry turned and left the headmaster's office, leaving Dumbledore there drinking tea.

......

"How could Dumbledore do this!" Harry said after returning, relaying Dumbledore's words. Ron and Hermione were both indignant about Dumbledore's attitude.

"We have to think of a way to save her," Hermione said. "Dumbledore said her soul has been taken root by Voldemort, but I have a method for separating souls in my soul alchemy, although I haven't learned it yet."

"Hermione, at the fastest pace, how long would it take you to learn the next chapter?" Harry asked Hermione, looking down at her.

"It will take at least half a year, the third volume of Soul Alchemy is too difficult..." Hermione was about to give a conservative estimate when she suddenly stood up, her whole demeanor brightening. "Maybe it won't take much time. I forgot something crucial."

Without waiting for Harry and Ron's questions, she ran out of the school.

"What's wrong with him?" Ron asked.

"You're asking me? How would I know?" Harry replied, glancing in the direction Hermione had gone. "But I guess she must have some good news."

"I hope so."

......

"Dear Mr. Nicholas Flamel..." Hermione quickly wrote a letter beside the owlhouse. The letter Dumbledore gave her at the beginning of the school year was a special letter that could lead owls to Nicolas Flamel. Now, Hermione knew how to use it. She wanted to ask Nicolas Flamel to guide her in Soul Alchemy, even though Soul Alchemy was one of the three forbidden arts of alchemy.

Hermione quickly wrote the letter and handed it to a wood owl.

"Go find Nicolas Flamel."

Lin Xiao gently pecked her finger, seemingly to reassure Hermione. Then, Lin Xiao spread its wings and flew towards the direction where Nick Flamel was, carrying the letter.
