Harry Potter, the savior of Night City

Chapter 6 The Dead Emerald Green Eyes

"Alright, alright, then you can go to Slytherin!"

The Sorting Hat's sound rang out, and the entire room fell silent. Slytherin? How could it be Slytherin? How could the Savior go to Slytherin? After a long while, everyone finally reacted, their incredulous voices almost lifting the roof off.

Sparse applause rippled across the Slytherin table, while most people scrutinized Harry with various glances. Only Draco dared not look at Harry; he seemed to have shrunk considerably, his pale face appeared even paler, his body trembled, and he was clearly muttering something.

"I'm going to tell my dad, right?" Harry sat down next to him at some point, and said with a forced smile, "Go ahead, tell him. Let me see what kind of corporate dog this world really is."

"Quiet!!"

Dumbledore, standing behind the podium, shouted, and the Great Hall fell silent again. Everyone looked at Dumbledore, who exhaled and his smile returned.

"Welcome everyone to Hogwarts for the start of a new school year. Well then, you idiot, crybaby, scumbag, twister, thank you all."

After saying a bunch of incomprehensible things, he sat down again. Everyone applauded, and Harry joined in, but his expression was somewhat strange.

"Is he... a little crazy?"

He shook his head, no longer thinking about it, because something more important had appeared. The plate in front of him was full of food: roast beef, roast chicken, pork chops, and so on. Real meat, all real meat, not a single piece was synthetic. Harry picked up a piece of beef and put it in his mouth. He was so moved that he felt like he was about to glow. All the food in Night City was synthetic. Real meat was ridiculously expensive, not to mention real vegetables that grew from the ground.

Just as Harry was satisfying his taste buds and stomach, he suddenly felt a gaze fixed on him. Harry looked up and met the eyes of the professor who looked a bit like a bat.

"That's our Head of Slytherin, Professor Snape," an upperclassman explained to Harry after witnessing the scene. "Don't let his fierce appearance fool you; he's actually quite protective of his own."

Harry shrugged noncommittally and continued eating his food with his head down. The senior glanced at Harry with some disdain as he wolfed down his food, then put on an elegant and pretentious act in front of him.

"Idiot."

Harry glanced at him and gave a fair assessment.

The senior's face turned red with anger.

Soon, after the last dessert was swept away, all the plates disappeared from the table. Headmaster Dumbledore stood up, and the Great Hall fell silent once more.

"Everyone has finished eating. I would like to remind you of a few points."

First, first-year students are prohibited from entering the Forbidden Forest, and the same applies to returning students. Second, Mr. Filch also asked me to remind everyone not to cast spells in the hallways during breaks.

......

Finally, I want to tell everyone that anyone who doesn't want to suffer a painful and tragic death should not enter the right-hand corridor on the fourth floor.

Finally, the opening ceremony came to an end after the school song, which was so loud it was almost unbearable.

"What damn music! Ponponshit is way better than this stuff," Harry said, rubbing his forehead and giving a fair assessment of the headache-inducing school song.

The Slytherin first-years followed their prefects down the marble staircase, which was the opposite of Gryffindor. Ron glanced at Harry, wanting to say something, but kept quiet.

"Mr. Potter, I must tell you, as Slytherins, we should have refined manners." The upperclassman Harry had scolded at dinner happened to be a prefect. "We..."

"Get lost," Harry said to him without any politeness.

"What did you say?" The prefect looked at Harry in disbelief, seemingly unable to believe what Harry had said.

"I said, get lost, you idiot." Harry turned and walked away, ignoring the stares of the other freshmen, heading straight downstairs.

"Harry Potter!" The prefect strode over and grabbed Harry's shoulder. Harry rolled up his sleeves behind his elbows, activated Sionstein, and launched the Mantis Blade. The thermal Mantis Blade sliced open the prefect's stomach like butter. The two Mantis Blades crossed and slashed down, drawing a large cross on the man's stomach. It looked like his intestines were about to fall out.

"You're not a child." Harry sheathed his mantis knife.

The Sianweistein closed, and the prefect stood there stunned for a moment. Then his eyes rolled back, he spat out a mouthful of blood, and fell straight to the ground.

All the new students were stunned. They hadn't expected Harry to actually hurt someone here, and that he'd aim to kill them right away. (Harry: I didn't know! Who knew he'd kill someone without even breaking their heart or shattering their brain?)

"Get him to the school clinic! Quickly!" Professor Snape rushed over and immediately used Healing Touch on the prefect's cut abdomen, stopping the bleeding instantly. He then waved to two upperclassmen, instructing them to take the prefect to the school clinic.

"You, come with me," he said to Harry, then tossed his robes and walked toward the office.

Harry said he didn't mind and quickly followed. The two wandered around the castle and finally came to a door with a Medusa statue hanging on it.

"Come in." Snape pushed open the door, walked into the room, and sat down. Harry followed and sat down opposite him.

Did I ask you to sit down?

"How can we talk without sitting down?"

Professor Snape remained silent for a long time before finally raising his head and staring into Harry's eyes. The more he looked, the stranger they seemed. They were still those bright green eyes, so why did they look so strange? The bright green seemed deliberately created, as if they were dead.

"What's wrong with your eyes?" Snape asked Harry.

Harry touched his Crossroads. "No problem, nothing damaged or malfunctioning?" He looked up at Snape to indicate that everything was fine.

Snape fell silent. He could see emotion in those eyes, but something felt very wrong, as if he were looking at a pair of glass beads instead of eyes.

He didn't want to discuss the matter anymore, so he changed the subject. His entire demeanor changed, and his eyes became lifeless. If he was a widowed lone wolf just now, he was now a venomous snake spewing venom.

"Then, our dear savior, could you please tell his poor old professor why he hurt someone? It really gave his old professor a big fright."

"I don't like him." These simple four words left Snape speechless, as he was about to retort with all of Harry's explanations.

"Tsk, tsk, it seems your great fame makes you think you can do whatever you want, doesn't it? How disgusting."

"Yes, that's right." Harry stared blankly at the clock behind Snape. "So, my poor old professor, can your student, whose fame is so great that he can do whatever he wants in the school, finally go back to his damn dormitory?"

Snape's words caught in his throat again. He stared at Harry, or rather, into Harry's eyes, for a long time:

"go back!"

Harry immediately stood up, turned, and walked towards the door. Just as he reached the doorway, Professor Snape's voice rang out:

"Dormitory password: Pureblood."

Harry nodded to indicate that he understood, left the office, and returned to the lounge. He recited the command, and the lounge door slowly opened. Upon entering the lounge, he was startled by the scene before him.

"Is Slytherin unable to pay their electricity bill?"

The dark, damp, and moldy corners made him wonder if he had returned to Night City, where the environment was just as appalling as a rat's den in Night City.

Reluctantly returning to his dorm room, he found his roommate already fast asleep. Lying on his bed, for some reason, he suddenly missed Night City. He opened his contacts, intending to call the priest, but a line of text appeared before him:
