Chapter 84 Peter Parker

Jon wandered aimlessly through the streets, his thoughts preoccupied with the fate he was about to foresee.

The Pillar Men, it's the Pillar Men again!

These archenemies are destined to be entangled with him as a Ripple user.

And now, he holds in his hand the key item that can determine the fate of both sides, namely the perfect Aja Red Stone!

At this point, there are only two possible outcomes:

He either needs to protect Aja's Red Stone to eliminate all the Pillar Men and overcome this crisis.

The Pillar Man will obtain the Red Stone to become the perfect being, and then rule the world after devouring many mutants and Inhumans.

The thought of the second possibility filled Jon with renewed vigor—he would never let the Pillar Men succeed.

But now... he has something more important to do.

"Boss."

He stopped in front of the ice cream stand, which was crowded with children, pushed aside many of them, and walked straight to the front.

"Three vanilla flavored ones."

"Guest, you..."

The boss was about to reprimand him, but upon seeing Jon's bloodshot eyes, he could only silently begin making the food.

Is he another one who judges by appearances? Jon is used to it by now.

A moment later, the shopkeeper handed over an ice cream, saying somewhat nervously, "Your ice cream, how much is it...?"

Jon raised his hand to interrupt, glanced back at the children lining up behind him, and a hint of nostalgia flashed in his eyes.

I wish I could have been this carefree when I was a child.

"How about... you have this?"

The shopkeeper asked tentatively, clearly intimidated by Jon's aura.

"No, take it." Jon snapped out of his daze, pulled a large bill from his pocket, and said, "I'll treat all these kids as compensation for cutting in line."

"This...this...no, uh!" The shopkeeper took the money in a daze, and when he looked up to say something, he found that Jon had already walked away.

Suddenly, a bespectacled child grabbed the ice cream the vendor had just made and chased after him.

"Sir!" he shouted.

"Um?"

Jon frowned and turned around, his expression instantly sharp, but softened when he saw it was a child.

"What's wrong, kid? Did you get separated from your parents? Or are you lost? But it doesn't matter, I have no obligation to help you!"

"Sir, actually I came to thank you," the bespectacled boy said shyly. "Thank you for treating me to ice cream."

"Thank me? There's no need." Jon waved his hand dismissively, shooing him away. "Go enjoy your ice cream, brat."

But the little boy followed closely behind, licking his ice cream and making little noises.

"Sir, I'm Peter Parker. You know what? My uncle rarely buys me ice cream, this is the first time in three years! By the way, sir, what's your favorite flavor? I love matcha, the taste of matcha is just so..."

'

"hiss."

Jon took a deep breath, and a vein bulged on his forehead.

This little chatterbox is like a buzzing fly; she's been talking nonstop about an ice cream and hasn't stopped yet.

Thanks to this, he recognized who the kid was. After all, apart from Spider-Man, who else in the world is such a chatterbox?

And his name is Byd Parker!

No, there seems to be Deadpool too. Jon shook his head.

I never expected this guy to be so annoying since he was a child. No wonder his enemies all wanted to strangle him later on.

"Listen, brat!" Jon leaned closer, his scarlet eyes flashing with danger. "Say one more word, and I'll give you a perfect childhood."

"See this?" he said mockingly, twirling his boots.

"In a minute, these size 46 shoes will kick your butt hard. Don't expect me to comfort you, because I'll be enjoying this ice cream while I watch you cry. Got it, kid?"

"I...I understand, sir..." Little Peter trembled with fear at Jon's words. "I...I will control myself...I will try my best to control myself."

"Good boy." Jon straightened up with satisfaction.

He felt no guilt whatsoever about bullying the young Spider-Man.

In his view, what kind of hero is he if he doesn't experience setbacks? He, Lord Jon, is helping Peter grow!

It's a good deed! Yes, that's right!

"Alright, stop crying." He suddenly squatted down, pulled out a banknote, and said, "Shall I buy you another ice cream?"

"Okay!" Peter instantly stopped crying and started laughing, but then hesitated, "But sir, eating too much ice cream will give me a stomachache... Aunt May will be angry. Can I eat it tomorrow?"

"Whatever you like. And don't call me 'sir,' my name is Jon Yovik."

Jon grinned mischievously and ruffled Peter's hair vigorously before standing up.

"Let's go, I'll take you home." He suddenly stopped, "Wait, isn't today a school day? What are you doing here?"

"School's out for break," Peter explained as he walked. "I don't know why, it's just a holiday."

O

"A holiday..." Jon's gaze flickered for a moment, as if he had remembered something.

The two walked along the smog-shrouded streets.

Peter chattered on about the funny things that happened at school, but surprisingly, Jon didn't show the slightest impatience.

Because he was a little puzzled.

Because usually, children would run away in fright if they saw him like that, but why is Peter so familiar with them?

It's strange that they didn't judge people by their appearance; that's quite good.

The two walked and stopped, and in the blink of an eye, they arrived in front of an ordinary house in Queens.

"Is this it?" Jon stopped in his tracks. "Go back quickly. It's not safe lately. Don't wander around even though it's a holiday."

"Understood, Mr. Jon!" Peter waved goodbye. "I'll remember!"

Just remember to study hard.

"must!"

After watching the little Spider-Man safely enter the house, Jon's lips curled into a slight smile.

He now finally understood why the villains were so incredulous when they learned that Spider-Man was Peter Parker.

It was such a wonderful contrast that he wouldn't have been able to tell the difference if he hadn't had a god-like perspective.

As we all know, Spider-Man's enemies hate Spider-Man, but Spider-Man's enemies all like Peter Parker.

Jon had a pretty good impression of this little Spider-Man.

In his opinion, Peter was very dull, but he had a likable quality, coupled with a little humor, who wouldn't like him?

So if you told Spider-Man's enemies, "Hey, Spider-Man's real identity is actually Peter Parker," they wouldn't believe you.

This is as absurd as telling you that the summoner of the Emperor Armor is that old turtle Nick Fury.

After all, they can still tell the difference between the super annoying Spider-Man and the super lovable Peter Parker. Just as Jon turned to leave, his phone suddenly vibrated. He took out his phone and saw that the caller ID showed Coulson.

So you've come to invite me for a drink? That's great.

"Phil? You're back?" He pressed the answer button. "I hope you're calling to ask me to have a drink."

"I've run into some trouble." Coulson's voice sounded tired. "Remember what happened in Harlem a few years ago?"

'

"Harlem?" Jon frowned; he hadn't even been born yet.

However, he vaguely remembered it.

"You really don't know. Simply put, two green monsters fought over there, one dark green and the other shit-green, and now..."

Coulson spoke faster, wanting to finish in one breath.

"Forget it, it's hard to explain over the phone. Let's meet in person. Walk two blocks east from where you are now, turn left, and there's a Midnight Forest restaurant on your right. I'll be waiting for you there."

"You're paying?" Jon joked casually. "If you're paying, I'll pay."

"I'll treat you!" Coulson said, unusually impatient. "Come quickly, it's an emergency!"

"Jon, I know you have a lot of clever ideas, and right now I really need yours. Come on!"

Five minutes.

Jon hung up the phone and disappeared around the corner.
