Chapter 29 The Golden Winds of the New World

"King Crimson!!"

With the boss's generous sponsorship, the three days passed in the blink of an eye.

Several things happened during this period.

First, Jon missed Tony's birthday party in order to wipe out the lurking vampires.

Meanwhile, at the banquet, Tony and Rhodey were staging a meticulously choreographed fight scene.

Wearing a Mark II suit, Rhodes smashed Tony's Long Island villa to pieces that day.

The fight between the two close friends left all the guests present, including Pepper, speechless.

Simultaneously.

This farce left Pepper with a huge mess and also dragged Jon into it.

Early in the morning, at Pepper's request, he had to attend the press conference in Pepper's place.

Although he was very comfortable in such situations, being forced to wear formal attire still made him feel very uncomfortable.

"Damn Tony."

Jon ripped off his tie and pushed open the door to Pepper's office.

"Agreed," Pepper replied without looking up, "That damn Tony."

"Oh, by the way," she pointed to the suitcase in the corner, "I've packed you a few new outfits. Don't wear that yellow jacket and tight T-shirt anymore, okay?"

"You'll never find a girlfriend that way."

"understood."

Jon gave a perfunctory reply.

He has no intention of changing his style of dress, and there are reasons for that.

As Dior's son, he only needs to wear similar clothes to Dior and have that same face to avoid 60% of the troubles in life.

"There's one more thing," Pepper suddenly remembered something, "did you mention in the car last time that you wanted to pursue a career in music?"

"do you remember?"

Jon raised an eyebrow, somewhat surprised, and said:

"You still remember? But now even a skilled cook can't cook without rice, so how about..."

"Wait a minute," he suddenly realized, "you wouldn't...

"You guessed right." Pepper smiled mysteriously and pointed to the cover in the corner: "Lift it up and take a look."

Jon followed Pepper's gaze and finally reached out to lift the cover.

A beautifully crafted violin and saxophone suddenly appeared before my eyes.

"sure."

Jon weighed the saxophone in his hand and nodded with satisfaction. "Whose collection is this?"

"Of course," Pepper said, rubbing her temples. "Tony recently had a sudden idea to donate his entire collection..."

Pepper shrugged.

"So I preemptively donated these to you."

"Oh, right, Jon," Pepper suddenly remembered something, "Do you need me to get you a music teacher?"

"No need, I already know how." Jon gently wiped the saxophone.

Back when his mother wasn't so mentally unstable, she had taught him the saxophone and violin.

But in the end, he still felt that the saxophone suited his taste best.

"You already knew how?" Pepper's eyes widened in surprise.

Immediately, an expectant look appeared on her face. "Can I hear it?"

"Jon?"

Jon wanted to refuse, but seeing Pepper's expectant eyes, he had no choice but to nod in agreement.

"Okay, remember, don't be afraid no matter what you see later."

As he spoke, he carefully tuned the saxophone and violin, and after he finished tuning them...

He adjusted his posture, then suddenly said:

"Star Platinum!"

And so, in Pepper's view, the violin next to Jon inexplicably began to float.

"What!" Pepper's eyes widened in disbelief.

"Don't be nervous," Jon said, raising his hand to reassure her and signal her not to panic.

After he finished speaking, he turned to look at the Platinum Star.

Platinum Star was carefully holding the bow with his thick fingers, while supporting the violin with his other hand.

Jon grinned when he saw Star Platinum's cautious look.

He then took a deep breath and began to play.

A rousing tune with a touch of gangster flair filled the office.

Jon Snow played this execution song that belonged exclusively to Giorno.

Although it lacks piano and cello harmonies, Jon perfectly fills the gap with the saxophone.

Gradually, Pepper covered her mouth, her body swaying gently to the rhythm.

Pepper could sense that there was a story hidden within this piece of music she had never heard before.

A little-known but absolutely wonderful story.

As the last note faded, Jon put down his saxophone and breathed a sigh of relief.

Pepper remained engrossed in the music until quite some time later, when she finally snapped out of it.

"I thought you only knew a little... but I never expected this," she said incredulously. "What's the name of this piece?"

"Hmm... let's call it Golden Wind."

"The Golden Wind..." Pepper repeated, then suddenly straightened up. "Wait, why did the violin just float up like that?"

"Uh..." Jon glanced at Star Platinum instinctively, "That..."

Platinum Star helplessly shrugged, indicating that it was powerless to do anything about it.

Just as Jon was racking his brains for an excuse, the office door was suddenly pushed open.

Tony peeked in furtively, and Jon raised an eyebrow at him—that was his way of saying hello.

Jon raised an eyebrow at him, a silent understanding between them.

Then Tony walked in with his head held high, looking completely unreliable.

"Hey! What was that music just now?"

"Tony," Pepper said, looking at him with obvious annoyance, "What's up?"

"Are you free?" Tony placed a box of strawberries on the table. "Hmm?"

Tony, in a showy manner, took off his glasses and looked at Pepper.

But Pepper wasn't having any of it. She coldly said:

"I don't have time, I'm very busy. Not everyone is as idle as you."

Tony exaggeratedly drew out his words, saying with a teasing expression:

"Oh... so in your dictionary, being busy means listening to music?"

"Tony!" Pepper's voice grew even colder. "Who do you think left this mess for me?"

Jon's eyes lit up; his gossip radar had picked up on the juicy atmosphere.

Seeing this, he casually grabbed some snacks from the table and started eating them while watching the show with great interest.

"Pepper, I want it, click... I want 3, click... 30, click."

Tony's words were interrupted by the sound of chewing, and veins bulged on his forehead. "Damn Jon! Can't you eat quietly?"

OK.

Jon spread his hands innocently, his eyes conveying, "You guys continue, leave me alone."

Pepper sighed and rubbed her forehead in exasperation: "Jon?"

"Hmm?" His mouth was stuffed full. "What's wrong?"

"Remember the new clothes I bought you? Can you...?"

"No problem!" Jon stood up quickly, picked up his suitcase, and grabbed the box of strawberries as he did so.

"Hey! Kid, that's for your aunt!" Tony shouted hurriedly.

Upon hearing this, Jon Snow immediately wore a strange expression and said:

"Don't you know that my whole family is allergic to strawberries?"

"Uh..." Tony was momentarily speechless. "At least I guessed that Pepper and strawberries are somewhat related, isn't that progress?"

"Progress? Tony," Jon teased. "Your skin is thicker than your suit."

After saying that, he casually tossed the strawberries into the trash can, and as he left, he secretly winked at Tony.

"I'm going to try on clothes, you guys... keep it down."

"Got it," Tony called after him as he walked away. "Remember to come to my lab later! I have something for you!"
