Chapter 16 Aja's Redstone and Fate
"JOJO".
Blade staggered to his feet, but before he could stand up, he was about to fall to the ground again.
Seeing this, Jon grabbed his swaying body and quickly asked:
Are you alright?
"It's nothing." Blade steadied himself with Jon's help. "It's just that it's been a long time since I had my serum injection."
"Serious serum?" Jon frowned, subconsciously examining the blade.
Daofeng's eyes were unfocused, and his forehead was covered in cold sweat.
This is clearly a case of hemothrombosis.
"I see, it's hemothrombosis. But don't worry, buddy, I have a family remedy."
As he spoke, a chilling smile spread across Jon Snow's face.
"Wait!" Blade took two steps back. "What are you doing?!"
"Relax." Jon took two steps forward, his expression sincere.
"I swear on my father's honor that I will never do anything to you."
Upon hearing this, Blade breathed a sigh of relief.
The next second, Platinum Star's fist rapidly magnified in Blade's vision.
boom!
"You bastard..."
Blade's eyes widened, his body swayed, and he fell heavily to the ground.
"Dio's reputation?" Jon chuckled. "Does that guy even have any reputation?"
After saying that, Jon began to clean up the battlefield.
Platinum Star deftly picked up Patek Philippe watches, necklaces, and even gold-plated dentures from the ground.
Jon took it for granted. What do you call that? That's the reward for justice!
After fighting and killing so much, he naturally needs to take some spoils of war to buy some tonics to nourish his body.
Blade must have done the same thing, otherwise where would he get the money to acquire so many silver weapons?
"Let me see... um?"
As Jon was searching, a strange red light suddenly flashed through the pile of clothes.
"What is it?"
Jon turned his head and saw that the light was hidden under a piece of clothing.
"I remember this is Blade's mother's clothes, isn't it?"
Jon fiddled with it for a moment, then picked up the ruby necklace with two fingers.
"Not bad, there's even a cross inside."
He looked at the ruby necklace and the faint cross symbol inside the ruby.
"Wait, a cross?" Jon blinked. "This looks like..."
"It's Aja Redstone?!" Jon's voice suddenly rose. "No way."
This discovery left him stunned in place.
"So that means..."
He had once heard Joseph say that the Red Stone of Aja was a stone closely associated with the Pillar Men.
This mineral can reflect light several times before it is emitted again, acting as an amplifier for ripples.
Scientists from the SPW Foundation have specifically studied this thing; its creation predates the origin of the Pillar Men by only a little bit.
As if by fate, after Aja's Red Stone was born, in ancient times, the Pillar Men were also born for some inexplicable reason.
Jon remembered that Joseph had once suddenly said to him seriously one afternoon:
"Jon, nothing on Earth is useless; it's all fate's arrangement."
After saying that, Joseph made a pair of earrings from the lip ring he had left over from defeating Vamuu and gave them to Jon Snow.
Jon clenched his fists.
The Ripple users' destiny is to confront the Pillar Men!
No wonder he came into this world; since there are Pillar Men, then all of this makes sense.
It seems the Pillar Men of this world are unimaginably powerful, that's really enough!
Thinking of this, Jon subconsciously touched the earring on his ear.
"Fate?" Jon muttered to himself. "Damn it!"
Jon gripped Aja's redstone tightly, lifted the unconscious Blade with one hand, and walked out of the building.
He first sent Blade to his secret base.
There is a female doctor there who was saved by Blade and can take care of him.
Now that it can be largely confirmed that there are Pillar Men in this world, he must find the perfect Aja Red Stone first.
Only in this way can we take the initiative into our own hands.
If a Pillar Man were to actually become a perfect being, it would be a huge problem for him.
So in order to find the perfect Aja Red Stone, Jon needs someone to help him.
-----------------
In a small alley in Brooklyn, a brightly decorated bread truck sits quietly.
Suddenly, the van door was yanked open.
Wow!
Skye, who was enjoying a burrito in her car, was so startled she almost choked.
Upon recognizing the person, she breathed a sigh of relief and rolled her eyes in annoyance:
"Jon? Did you have to make this entrance?"
"Emergency situation."
Jon climbed into the carriage, but his eyes were glued to the burrito in Skye's hand.
"Wait, is that the specialty cheese roll from that shop at the street corner?"
Jon, who was starving, grabbed one and stuffed it into his mouth before Skye could answer, swallowing half of it in a few bites.
"It really tastes like theirs, and there's plenty of cheese. Great!" He smacked his lips in satisfaction.
"Hey! That's me—"
Skye's protest stuck in her throat as she watched helplessly as the last half of the burrito disappeared into Jon's mouth.
"----The burrito."
She gritted her teeth and grabbed Jon's collar.
"Do you know how long I've been waiting for this meal?!"
Skye reached out and pried open Jon's mouth, trying to get the burrito out.
You have to understand that she had been looking forward to this wrap for a long time, and it was her favorite wrap!
"Ugh!" Jon pressed Skye's hand down and said, "Never mind the burritos, I need to talk to you!"
"Nothing is more important than a burrito!" Skye said, clearly unhappy.
She was already poor, and had to be frugal with everything she ate. She finally managed to have a meat wrap, which ended up in Jon's stomach.
Who would be happy about that?
"Don't get excited! I'll compensate you with this." He took out an exquisite red stone necklace from his pocket.
"This is...."
Skye's anger froze instantly.
She released her grip, her eyes fixed on the necklace: "What...is this? It looks so expensive!"
"It is indeed very expensive." Jon shook the necklace. "Want it?"
"Wait a minute," Skye suddenly crossed her arms, "you're not thinking of using this to bribe me into doing something weird, are you?"
"Although you have a great physique and are handsome, this won't do, Jon."
Upon hearing this, Jon almost choked on his saliva: "What are you thinking? You've misunderstood."
"I want you to help me check if there's anything similar in the world, and then it's yours."
"This is important to me, Skye, because it concerns an ancient race..."
Then Jon briefly told Skye about Aja, the Red Stone, and the Pillar Men.
As Jon recounted the story, Skye's expression shifted from doubt to shock.
"what?"
Although her worldview had already been shattered during the day, it wasn't damaged to this extent.
But now, Jon tells him that there may exist a race in the world with an extremely long lifespan, which turns into inorganic matter when exposed to sunlight.
Her first reaction was disbelief, but Jon had no reason to play such an expensive jewel on her.
"So..." Skye asked tentatively, "Is everything you said true?"
"Absolutely true."
Jon placed his hands on her shoulders, his voice more serious than ever before.
"The responsibility of saving the world rests on your shoulders, Skye!"
