In the White Pentagon's logistics department, two men and an asexual person were flipping through reports, their expressions indescribable.

Furuta Nimura, with a stiff smile on his face, pointed to a monitoring report marked "Great Calamity".

"Are you sure that monster will come to America?"

Upon hearing this, Baphomet said firmly, "He will come. I have already issued a challenge to him."

"But according to the surveillance footage, that guy has been in Japan the whole time and has no intention of coming here."

The bald man paused for a moment, then burst into laughter.

The boy who was surrounded by people was still apologizing.

Mercury noticed that some white liquid was dripping from the corners of the thugs' eyes.

"Kid, you've entered our territory, so what do you say... ah!"

Before the bald man could finish speaking, he was twisted into a pretzel, and blood rained down, covering the entire alley.

The thugs were terrified and collapsed to the ground, while the boy who kept apologizing was much better than them.

At least they weren't paralyzed with fear.

Mercury yawned and continued walking towards the alley entrance.

"What a hassle, even having a drink can lead to this kind of trouble."

He walked out of the back alley and onto the main street of the red-light district.

All around were flashing neon lights, bars, nightclubs, and love hotels lined the streets, and drunkards and hostesses wandered the streets, creating a constant cacophony of noise.

"Where am I...?" He rubbed his temples, intending to call Tomie and ask her to come pick him up.

Just then, a scantily clad woman walked over with a professional smile on her face.

"Sir, are you alone? Would you like to come and have some fun?"

Mercury glanced at her, but had no desire to even acknowledge her, and turned to leave.

"Want to grab a drink?" the woman asked, catching up with him reluctantly. "I know a nice bar nearby."

Mercury's eyes cleared instantly, and he stopped in his tracks.

"You're treating."

The tone was unquestioning, only matter-of-fact.

The woman paused for a moment, then looked him up and down.

His clothes looked very expensive, and he was tall and handsome, with a clear sense of desolation.

It doesn't seem like a huge loss.
