Primordial Era: From the Creation Lotus to the First Disciple of the Three Pure Ones

Chapter 110 Nuwa, Green Lotus Stone Sculpture
They used simple, polished stone and bone tools to dig for tubers in the soil and to catch fish and shrimp in the shallow sea, or they went in groups...
They call out as they chase after the docile small wild animals on the grassland, or vigorously pick fruit from the branches of trees laden with fruit, or scoop up water from the clear streams to drink, uttering simple and cheerful babbling sounds.
Their eyes are pure and clear, filled with the most primal and fervent curiosity and desire to explore the world.
However, their ignorance was also obvious: they did not know how to weave, and used clothes to cover their bodies to keep warm and cover their shame. When the night was cold, they could only huddle together for warmth and rely on their body heat to resist the sea wind.
They did not know how to build sturdy houses, so they mostly chose to live in natural caves, or sheltered from the wind and rain under big trees or in rock crevices, in simple environments;
They mostly eat raw food to fill their stomachs. Occasionally, lightning strikes cause wildfires that scorch the meat or nuts of animals, which seem to taste even better and are easier to chew. However, they do not know how to actively start a fire or preserve a flame, and can only passively wait for a natural fire.
Master Qinglian and his disciples used their escape techniques to land in a densely populated area near a stream.
Their arrival naturally caused subtle changes in the surrounding spiritual energy. Their serene Daoist charm and boundless vitality, so different from ordinary creatures, quickly attracted the attention of the nearby human race.
Soon, dozens of curious people gathered around.
They did not show much fear or wariness.
Perhaps it is because when the goddess Nuwa created them, she endowed them with a pure and flawless nature.
Perhaps it was the aura of creation emanating naturally from Qinglian, which shared the same origin as Nuwa but was more inclusive, peaceful, and nourishing to all things, that made them feel close to and dependent on her from the depths of their life origins.
Leading the group were several men and women who were relatively tall and strong, with more agile and intelligent eyes. They were among the three thousand innate humans that the Goddess Nuwa had personally created by mixing the Nine Heavens Breath Soil with the Three Lights Divine Water and painfully dripping in her own holy blood.
Although they were also naked, their skin faintly shimmered with a precious light, and their movements exuded an extraordinary air. Their spiritual wisdom far surpassed that of the later humans who were born by sprinkling mud from gourd vines.
They looked at Qinglian with eyes full of admiration, doubt, and inquiry. They seemed to find Qinglian's aura very familiar and intimate, like a certain quality of their mother, yet they could not recall its specific origin.
The group exchanged glances and whispered a few words in extremely simple syllables. Finally, the oldest man (relatively speaking), with a calm and resolute gaze, stepped forward.
Imitating the vague rituals of her mother's departure from her memory, she awkwardly bowed and uttered a few broken and ancient syllables, as if inquiring about the identity of the visitor.
Qinglian smiled gently, not responding with words, but instead conveying her peaceful and friendly intentions through divine sense. Her voice was as warm and gentle as jade: "No need for formalities. My name is Qinglian, an old friend and fellow Daoist of the Goddess Nuwa. The two behind me are my disciples, Sun Wuzhen and Ao Guang."
The four words "Goddess Nuwa" seemed to possess a strange magic. All the humans who gathered around, whether they were born with the three thousand innate talents or acquired talents, had their eyes burst forth with an incomparably bright, star-like brilliance upon hearing the meaning conveyed by this divine thought.
They all unconsciously turned towards Buzhou Mountain (the direction in which their mother had last left in their subconscious).
Overwhelmed with emotion, they knelt down, touching their foreheads to the ground, uttering indistinct yet deeply affectionate and longing syllables—their most instinctive and profound respect and yearning for their "mother."
After paying his respects to his mother, the leading man looked at Qinglian again, his expression even more respectful, even showing a hint of intimacy towards an elder, yet he still didn't know how to address her properly.
Qinglian smiled and said, "You may simply call me 'Qinglian Daoist'."
"Qing—Dao—Ren—"
The man repeated the name haltingly, as if trying to etch it firmly into the depths of his soul.
He turned around and, facing the growing number of clansmen who had gathered around, loudly repeated the title over and over again. Soon, the calls of "Qinglian Daoist" echoed through the crowd. Although the pronunciation was childish and strange, it was full of pure goodwill, acceptance, and inexplicable trust.
Sun Wuzhen scratched his head as he looked at this group of humans who were primitive in behavior, ignorant and weak, yet full of vitality and vivid in their emotions. His fiery eyes were no longer filled with the usual playful and carefree attitude, but with a deep curiosity and an indescribable feeling.
Ao Guang's dragon eyes flickered slightly, and subtle law runes flowed deep within his pupils. He could clearly sense the faint yet incredibly resilient and slowly but steadily growing strange "luck" that was being nurtured by the gathering, labor, and life of these millions of people on this land.
This differs from the dragon race's control over rivers, lakes, and seas and the fortune gathered through water veins. It focuses more on the growth of the number of living beings, the awakening of their wisdom, and their tenacious desire for survival. It is a vigorous force rooted in the earth and originating from life itself.
Qinglian's gaze swept over the growing number of humans gathering, and she continued to communicate with divine thought to ensure that every member of her race understood: "Goddess Nuwa has attained the supreme Dao and achieved the status of a Primordial Saint, indestructible through countless eons. However, heaven and earth have their own rules and laws, and saints cannot remain in the primordial wilderness for long, interfering with the natural evolution of all things."
"Her Majesty cares deeply for you all, and therefore, before her departure, she specifically entrusted me with the care of your people, ensuring your survival and the continuation of your lineage. This is Her Majesty's boundless love for you. If you encounter any insurmountable difficulties or dangers in the future, you may come to me."
Upon hearing this, the humans' faces immediately revealed a complex expression of realization, relief, gratitude, and a mixture of reluctance and longing for their mother's departure.
They bowed to Qinglian again, their movements chaotic and uneven, yet all conveying heartfelt sincerity and respect.
At this moment, the leading group of innate humans looked at each other again, their eyes seemingly exchanging glances as they made a significant decision.
One of them made several complex hand gestures to Qinglian, and then pointed to a not-so-high but rather beautiful and precipitous stone mountain not far away, indicating that Qinglian should follow them there.
Qinglian nodded, signaling her two disciples to follow, and they walked with the group toward the stone mountain.
Upon reaching the foot of the mountain, one can see that the south-facing cliff face has been patiently polished smooth by primitive tools. On this cliff face, two lifelike and spiritually imbued statues are carved with a simple yet devout style!
The figure on the left is that of the goddess Nuwa, who is holy and compassionate, holding a gourd vine to create humans, with a graceful figure like the mother goddess of heaven and earth. Although the carving technique is simple and the lines are even a bit crooked.
Yet, it strangely captured seven or eight parts of its spirit of creation and compassion for all things, inspiring boundless warmth, awe, and reliance in those who behold it.
On the right is a Daoist image of a blue lotus!
His green robes flowed gracefully, his expression was gentle and calm, and a clear radiance seemed to emanate from him. He exuded a natural Taoist charm and stood side by side with the statue of the Goddess Nuwa, receiving the same respect.
The statue was clearly newly carved, with fresh marks. Presumably, after the Goddess Nuwa left, these primordial humans, relying on a subtle intuition and vague memory, devoutly carved the image of the blue lotus onto it, thus expressing their highest respect and acceptance of the person beside their mother.
In front of the two statues, there is a huge, naturally formed bluestone, polished to a very smooth and flat surface, like a natural altar.
On the stone platform, many fresh and plump wild fruits, dried fish and shrimp, and even clean sea sand were neatly arranged. On top of them were some colorful and strangely shaped seashells and jade stones, which were the most primitive and simple offerings they could offer, expressing their most sincere wishes.
