"stop!"

Just as Xuan Yin was dealing with the many acquired spiritual roots on Baihuang Mountain, a helpless voice came from the void above his head: "Beneath Baihuang Mountain lies the physical body of Qiongqi, and these ghost cypress trees covering the mountain have the ability to suppress Qiongqi's evil energy. If you pull them all out, Qiongqi might rise from its dead state!"

"Qiongqi?"

Upon hearing this, Xuan Yin was immediately startled. In the Primordial Realm, who did not know the name of Qiongqi?

That is one of the four legendary ferocious beasts, an unparalleled ferocious creature evolved from the resentment of many chaotic demons and gods after the opening of the primordial true world.

The four ferocious beasts, Qiongqi, Taowu, Taotie, and Hundun, obeyed the Beast Emperor Shenni and, along with countless other ferocious beasts, evolved into the Great Calamity of Ferocious Beasts.

Countless innate deities have perished at their hands. Even the Three Ancient Sovereigns could barely maintain their invincibility.

The Three Sovereigns and Five Emperors of antiquity repeatedly summoned the innate deities to purge the ferocious beasts of the Primordial Realm. However, even after the Three Sovereigns of antiquity were forced to pass away, the ferocious beasts of the Primordial Realm still maintained an astonishing number.

It wasn't until the Longhan era that Hongjun further perfected the Dao of Immortality and, together with top experts such as Zulong, Yuanfeng, Shiqilin, Luohou, and Yangmei, completely eradicated the ferocious beasts that threatened the Primordial Realm.

It is worth mentioning that the innate treasure, the God-Slaying Spear, in Luo Hou's possession was taken from many ferocious beasts after Shen Ni's fall.

Before destroying the western ley lines, Rahu had made contributions to the Primordial True Realm; otherwise, he would not have been able to gain the recognition of the Primordial Heavenly Dao and become a demonic saint symbolizing the dark side of the Primordial Heavenly Dao.

Xuan Yin immediately stopped what he was doing, looked at the newcomer, and respectfully bowed, saying, "Xuan Yin of the Human Race greets Senior Emperor Bai! Or rather, the Mountain God of Buzhou Mountain greets Senior Emperor Bo, the Human God!"

The creature before them, though human in form, possessed dragon horns and a dragon tail, and its bare arms were covered with dragon scales exuding the aura of Jia and Yi wood.

These are characteristics of the Dragon People!

The Imperial Uncle sighed helplessly, "I never imagined that anyone would still recognize me!"

Upon seeing this, Xuan Yin immediately revealed the aura bestowed upon him by the Heavenly Emperor Cangli and the Earthly Emperor Yuejian, which resided on his Divine Dao Taiyi Dao Fruit. He slowly spoke, "Although I am a human created by the Goddess Nuwa, I have had the privilege of meeting His Majesty the Heavenly Emperor and His Majesty the Earthly Emperor by chance! Furthermore, I hold His Majesty the Nine-Headed Clan in the highest esteem. Why must you, Senior Imperial Uncle, hide from me?"

The Imperial Uncle shook his head: "I was once a human, but later, in order to gain power, I transformed myself into this form that is neither dragon nor human! My father passed away, my four brothers, and my kin all perished. What right do I have to walk in this world as I once was?"

"I am a sinner against humanity!"

As an immortal being, Huang Bo's lifespan was practically limitless, and he should have been full of vigor, but he exuded a deep sense of decline.

It seems that the destruction of the Dragonman race, the departure of the Nine-Headed Clan, and the collapse of the Divine Age have dealt an extremely heavy blow to the Imperial Uncle.

Xuan Yin didn't know how to comfort him!

He thought for a moment, then slowly said, "Although His Majesty the Human Emperor has departed, the brilliance he left behind shines upon us like the sun. Senior, don't you wish to complete what His Majesty left unfinished? Do you want future cultivators to think that His Majesty the Human Emperor was inferior to the other two emperors?"

"Unfinished business?"

The Imperial Uncle shook his head, a helpless expression on his face: "If the principles of humanity were correct, how could Father have fallen into this calamity of moral decay?"

Unlike the underground world, the Nine-Headed Clan denied the humanity they created and even destroyed the dragon race they created with their own hands!

What's the point of him going any further down this wrong path?

Upon hearing this, a glint of brilliance flashed in Xuan Yin's eyes, as if he could see through the darkness in people's hearts. He slowly spoke, "But Senior Imperial Uncle, you surely agree with His Majesty the Human Emperor's ideals! Otherwise, why would you have taught Suirenshi and the others... the cultivation methods of the Divine Path era?"

"only……"

"The human heart is dark and its desires insatiable; that's why you dare not face your true self!"

According to Di Ting, although the Imperial Uncle left after teaching Suirenshi and a few others the methods of divine cultivation and how to condense the race's fortune, he has been secretly observing the human race ever since.

Clearly, he still couldn't let go of the defeats suffered by the Nine-Headed Clan and the Five-Colored Human Race.

He also wanted to see if there were any differences between the human race created by Nuwa and the innate five-colored human race created by the Human Emperor Jiutou.

Will the human race today repeat the same mistakes, blinded by desire, and follow the old path of the innate five-colored human race and the dragon race?

On this point, Xuan Yin felt that he had a lot to say.

Although the human race in later generations was still bound by desires, it never lacked heroic figures who led the human race to resist oppression!

Of course, the transition from the initial abdication system to the later hereditary monarchy involved many detours.

but……

"The road is winding, but the future is bright. One day, future generations of humanity will find their own unique path!"

After meeting Yue Jian, Xuan Yin also wondered why the Nine-Headed Clan failed. Was it because he underestimated the greed in the hearts of the Dragon People?

Yes!

Nor is it!

Everyone has greed, even those born with divine power or saints. Sometimes, in pursuit of what they desire, they will do things that violate moral logic!

What the Nine-Headed Clan lacked was a set of rules that could restrain the Dragon People and make them willingly lead many ordinary humans to become stronger.

Heaven has its rules, and earth has its regulations, but humanity has no laws to restrain those above!

When power is unchecked, morality perishes, and desires turn into a raging flood, devouring all the good thoughts in the hearts of all beings!

Xuan Yin witnessed the great battle between the Dragon People and the Nine-Headed Clan through Yue Jian's supernatural powers.

Of all those dragon people, wasn't there a single one who supported the Nine-Headed Clan, a single one who was willing to humble themselves and help the human race progress together?

Of course!

There may be quite a few Dragon People who are blinded by profit, but they are definitely not all of them. Many Dragon People are swept up by the tide of events!

When their parents, their offspring, and their brothers stood against the Nine-Headed Clan, they had no choice but to help their parents, offspring, and brothers... Humans are selfish, and it is difficult for the public spirit towards the race to suppress personal selfishness!

If sentient beings in this world can have three parts public-mindedness and seven parts selfishness, then they are considered normal people, and at least they have already escaped the category of evil people!

If one can have four parts public-spiritedness and six parts private-spiritedness, and can practice the principle of "do not do to others what you would not have them do to you," then one can be considered a good person!

If one can have five parts public-mindedness and five parts private-mindedness, and remain impartial in important matters, then one is enough to become a respected and upright person!

If one can have six parts public-mindedness and four parts selfishness, with public-mindedness outweighing selfishness, and be willing to sacrifice oneself for others, then one can be regarded as a virtuous person by all beings.

If one can have seven parts public-mindedness and three parts selfishness, and put the world and all living beings before personal interests most of the time, then one can reach the great realm of selflessness!

If one can have eight parts public-mindedness and two parts selfishness, and most of the time not care about personal gains or losses, one can reach the state of being a god without merit.

If one can have nine parts public-mindedness and one part selfishness, one can be called a saint without a name!

Of course, if someone only has two parts public-spiritedness and eight parts selfishness, and most of the time only thinks of themselves, then they can only be considered a selfish bad person!

Those who are only one part public-spirited and nine parts selfish, who only know how to harm others for their own benefit, are evil people who are despised by heaven and earth and all living beings!

Evil people, bad people, ordinary people, good people, upright people, virtuous people, perfect people, divine people, saints—these may seem to differ by only one word, but in essence, they are vastly different. The vast majority of living beings are ordinary people with only three parts public-spiritedness and seven parts selfishness.

However, even a sage cannot be completely selfless; nine-tenths impartiality is the limit, and only the Great Dao can achieve true justice.

Similarly, there are no absolutely evil people in the world. From the perspective of the Great Dao, good and evil are completely relative!

Just like Buddha cutting off his own flesh to feed the eagle, he saved the pigeon, which disrupted the laws of nature. Therefore, he had to sacrifice his own interests to satisfy the eagle and barely maintain the balance of the laws of nature.

Do not do to others what you would not have them do to you!

The Buddha's actions were naturally benevolent, but if he were to forcibly instill his own thoughts and ideas into the eagle and into the world, then he would be an evil person who goes against the laws of nature.

Back then, when the Tongtian Sect Leader assigned several of his personal disciples to manage the many disciples of the Jie Sect, Xuan Yin had carefully considered this issue.

Sages are the embodiment of the Heavenly Way. If the disciples of the Jie Sect are only restrained by simple good and evil, then they would undoubtedly lack the prestige of a great sect of sages!

However, the vast majority of living beings cannot reach the level of a saint, so tangible religious rules become the moral standard by which they emulate the saint.

Of course, good and evil are relative. With Xuan Yin's knowledge at the time, he could only think of using good and evil in a broad sense to restrain his many disciples.

That is, the opinion of most people!

Nothing in this world is perfect, and no one is perfect. To be able to do this is already the limit of Xuan Yin's hard work!

Xuan Yin looked at his uncle and earnestly explained his understanding of the three principles of Heaven, Earth, and Man.

While it is good for all creatures to compete freely under the frosty sky, without human discipline and rules to guide them, the development of humanity will naturally be chaotic!

"Heavenly rules, Earthly regulations, Human laws..."

Listening to Xuan Yin's words, the Imperial Uncle also seemed to be deep in thought. Compared with the Heavenly Dao evolved by the Cangli clan and the Earthly Dao evolved by the Yuejian clan, the Human Dao evolved by the Nine-Headed Clan was indeed less constrained.

His gaze immediately fell on Xuan Yin: "You seem to cultivate the Path of Law! Could it be that you also wish to complete the Path of Humanity in the Primordial World?"

As a being at the Heavenly Yi Realm, Xuan Yin's cultivation path was crystal clear to him, with numerous rules converging into a legal net.

Although most of them are based on the rules of heaven and earth, Xuan Yin, having put forward this idea, must have his own insights into the human way.

"Perhaps, your generation of humans can truly complete what our father left unfinished!"

The Imperial Uncle spoke slowly. At this moment, he thought of the Nine-Headed Clan, his brothers, and also of Suiren and others.

Weren't they once just like Suiren, willing to sacrifice their time and interests for their race?

Unfortunately……

Later, everything changed!

Xuan Yin continued, "Using bronze as a mirror, one can straighten one's clothes; using history as a mirror, one can understand the rise and fall of dynasties; using people as a mirror, one can understand gains and losses! The evolution of humanity is destined to be tortuous, but His Majesty the Human Emperor's failure was not meaningless; at least, he summarized many lessons for those who came after him!"

Suddenly, he changed the subject, his gaze fixed intently on his Imperial Uncle, and asked, "Senior Imperial Uncle, as a being at the Saintly B realm, did His Majesty the Human Emperor leave behind anything that could have aided the evolution of humanity? Perhaps something like an innate spiritual treasure or an innate spiritual root?"

Upon hearing this, the Imperial Uncle's lips twitched involuntarily: "So you've finally revealed your true intentions!"

Good guy!

You've told me so much just so you can get your father's legacy and the opportunities left to future generations by the Human Emperor, right?

He shook his head: "My father was indifferent to worldly matters and left behind no magical treasures! He only left behind a few hundred blank imperial edicts!"
