One Piece: The user of the Nen-Nen Fruit, who overturned the sea.
Chapter 115 Quick Victory
As for the remaining pirate crews' henchmen.
Pea, Enel, and Charon worked even harder.
Pea pressed her hands to the ground, a flash of green light appeared, and the swirling vines instantly intensified their attack.
Enel pointed his staff to the sky, and bolts of lightning struck.
Charon Fishman Karate combined with Lai Jun's Six Styles in succession.
Within a few breaths, no one in the arena could stand except for Roy and his group.
Seeing that the battle in the arena had been resolved, Roy slowly spoke.
"Moonlight Moria, I'm giving you two choices."
"First, like them, stay here forever."
Roy pointed to the CP members who were almost all killed or injured.
"Secondly, board my ship, and I might spare your men."
"So? Decide!"
According to Gecko Moria's original growth trajectory, he should have been defeated by Kaido a few years later, which would have shattered his moral compass, caused his strength to stagnate, and turned him into that comical figure.
However, his later act of daring to go to Beehive Island alone to rescue his men changed Roy's attitude towards him considerably.
Regardless, Moria's emphasis on his crew is quite rare in the world of One Piece.
Not to mention that he seems to possess the bloodline of the Oni race, making him a perfect experimental subject for Dr. Gracia.
Hearing Roy's request, Moria's face flashed with struggle. Finally, he glanced at his subordinates who were tied up like dumplings by Pea, and nodded reluctantly.
"I...I promise to board your ship, let my crew go, and let them leave safely. I will obediently go with you."
"very good."
Roy nodded in satisfaction, signaling Pea to release Moria's men.
Under Pea's control, Moria's minions fell to the ground one by one, looking at Moria with teary eyes.
"Captain Moriah..."
"Alright, go say goodbye to your men. My ship doesn't need useless trash like them."
After dealing with Moria, Roy turned his attention back to the subdued "Poison Princess" Vera.
This supernova, who was a contemporary of Moria, was not mentioned in the original work, so it's likely that he died somewhere in the New World at some unknown time.
However, her Devil Fruit ability also piqued Roy's interest.
Vera felt Roy's gaze and her body stiffened slightly. She tried to remain calm, but the fear in her eyes was undeniable.
"Tell me about your Devil Fruit ability!" Roy asked indifferently.
"It's...it's the Paramecia-type Venom-Venom Fruit."
"I can create and control all kinds of toxins, from paralyzing and hallucinogenic to deadly poisons... I can also condense toxins into physical forms to attack."
Vera's voice trembled as she revealed everything about her understanding and application of the Devil Fruit's power, without daring to conceal anything.
It even proactively demonstrated several different effects of poisonous fog and venom to prove its worth.
Roy listened quietly, a thoughtful look flashing in his eyes.
The Venom-Venom Fruit is indeed a power with enormous potential. If used properly, it can play an unexpected role on the battlefield.
This fruit later proved to be quite effective in Magellan's combat.
However, Vera's physique and the development of her fruit were too ordinary.
"Your abilities are not bad," Roy said slowly, "but your strength and character are not yet sufficient to make you my partner."
Vera's heart sank, and her face grew even paler.
"However, I can give you a chance."
Roy changed the subject,
"Submit to me and become an apprentice crew member on this ship, and I may spare your life and even give you a chance to become stronger."
Vera was stunned; she hadn't expected Roy to make such a demand.
Submitting to such a powerful pirate crew doesn't seem like... the worst option? At least it's better than dying here.
Faced with a life-or-death decision, Vera hesitated very little.
"...I...I am willing to submit, Captain Roy."
Roy's lips curled into a slight smile as he subtly strengthened his mental suggestion to Vera, ensuring her loyalty.
"A smart choice."
"However, if you fail to meet my requirements in the future..."
Roy made his usual threats, which made Vera's slightly relaxed heart tighten again.
He repeatedly said that he would do his best to become stronger according to Roy's instructions.
With that, the chaos in the Crystal Isle mines was completely quelled, and Roy then looked at Dr. Gracia behind him.
"Doctor, we're safe now."
Roy's voice was gentle, a stark contrast to his earlier demeanor.
"Would you like to come with me? I guarantee you'll have a safe environment to continue your research, instead of being forced to manufacture weapons."
Dr. Gracia looked at the mysterious young man before him, then at the group of incredibly powerful companions behind him.
Considering the World Government's pursuit and the greed of other pirates, he realized he seemed to have no better choice.
Moreover, Roy's mental suggestion was also subtly influencing him, making him trust Roy.
"I...I am willing to follow you, Lord Roy."
Dr. Gracia took a deep breath, made his decision, and presented the metal box he was holding with both hands.
"This is my research data; I hope it will be helpful to you."
Roy didn't take the box; instead, he pushed it back to the doctor.
"These materials are useless to me, Doctor. You should keep them for yourself!"
"However, you'll be glad you made this decision today."
Dr. Gracia was stunned; he had been prepared to hand over his life's work.
But unexpectedly, Roy didn't seem to care about it.
This attitude actually made him feel more at ease, at least the new captain wasn't just a profit-driven person.
"I understand, Lord Roy."
Dr. Gracia solemnly put the box back, a hint of anticipation rising amidst his uncertainty about the future.
Roy nodded slightly, his gaze sweeping over the chaotic mine pit.
Moriah's men were gathered in fear nearby, while Vera received initial first aid.
Standing quietly with their heads bowed, Doflamingo and his remaining forces remained unconscious.
"Let's go!" Roy looked at his companions around him.
The group left the mine and headed towards the dock.
"Barrett, Tezzolo."
At the dock, Roy gave the order.
"Take men and bring back all the treasure from Moriah's ship."
"clear!"
Barrett grinned and cracked his knuckles, clearly interested in raiding homes.
Tezzolo's eyes lit up, as if he could already see mountains of Pele.
The two led the dejected Moria to the dock.
"Stella, take Vera to her ship."
"Leave it to me." Stella nodded, gesturing for Vera to follow.
Roy looked at the enthusiastic Savi and his companions.
"You guys go too! Remember not to cause trouble!"
"yes!"
Savi, Pea, Charon, and Enel agreed and immediately split up to follow Barrett and Stella.
Roy and Hawkeye, along with Dr. Gracia, returned to Ark Maxim first.
