Steadfast Wizard: From Heart-Swapping Rat to Dimensional Demon God

At the very end of the spellbook were the rights, obligations, and precautions of the Flesh and Blood Cult as described by the witch.

First, there are the rights and benefits. In addition to the monthly magic stones, formal wizards can choose one first-tier wizardry from the Flesh Cult to learn for free every year, and can apply for free guidance from a high-level wizard once a month.

Then there are obligations: members of the Flesh and Blood Cult must complete a new spell study each year, undertake a research task assigned by the cult each year, choose a cult task to perform each year, and conduct a transaction ritual with the God of Flesh and Blood, the contracted party of the Flesh and Blood Cult, each year.

Finally, here are some things to note, which are much simpler: avoid internal strife, help members of the cult as much as you can, and fight the wizards of the Mechanicus to the death!

Overall, the benefits are quite good. The so-called obligations can even be integrated into the rights, because the four obligations include two research tasks where the sect provides basic data and corresponding research funding. The sect tasks are not done for free; you will be given magic stones upon completion.

The last deal seemed a bit strange, but in reality, the God of Blood and Flesh was a legitimate god, the kind of deity that provides advancement rituals for legendary wizards. This meant that wizards of the Blood and Flesh Cult would have many more ritual enhancements than other wizards, making them incredibly wealthy.

What truly constitutes an obligation is the precaution, which requires opposing the wizards of the Mechanicus, a newly emerging sect that believes in the ascension of flesh and blood to mechanical form.

Like the Flesh and Blood Cult, they are obsessed with body modification, but unlike the Cult, they modify their bodies with mechanical prosthetics!

That's incredibly fierce!

There is a clash of ideologies between the two sides.

But this is acceptable. If you enjoy the benefits, you have to accept the consequences that come with them.

After reading the general instructions, Isaac carefully put the magic book away, then left the Tower of Truth and headed towards the Royal Mage Tower.

The Flesh Cult's benefits and quests can only be claimed by going to its headquarters, which, like the Mad Witch Society's meeting place, is located in a certain dimension and requires a teleportation ritual to reach.

We can go back and deal with this later. The merits from Solomon Fortress have already been awarded, so we can go there first to exchange the items.

Upon arriving at the Royal Mage Tower, after simply showing his identification, Isaac received a magic book containing information on what he could exchange for and his accumulated merits—two thousand.

Neat and tidy, no more and no less.

This is because Isaac is not actually within the Imperial system. He is neither a soldier nor a wizard registered with the Imperial Wizarding Association. Although he is a baron, he is actually subordinate to Solomon. If the Empire and Solomon issue orders to him at the same time, he only needs to obey Solomon's orders.

In other words, the so-called vassal of a vassal is not my vassal.

Under these circumstances, it was already a sign of the empire's magnanimity that he was still able to receive merit; naturally, he couldn't be calculated in the same way as others.

Otherwise, two thousand merits would have been enough for him to exchange for a real baronial title or to elevate his own rank to viscount.

However, Isaac himself didn't care about any of that; all he cared about was what benefits he could get in return.

After a quick glance, Isaac locked onto his targets—Witchcraft: Spatial Manipulation and Witchcraft: Material Shield.

These two spells can effectively fill his current shortcomings and enhance his self-protection ability. Moreover, there are very few spells involving space. Most of them can only be learned in the early stages of a great wizard. Only such primitive inheritance as witchcraft can allow a formal wizard to master them in advance.

Of course, this does not mean that ancient witchcraft was more advanced than modern magic.

Just like that famous saying goes—so, Dog Egg, what will be the price?

While this primitive witchcraft allows wizards to master the power of space ahead of time, the price is significant side effects, and it may even pose a life-threatening risk during the learning process!

While modern spatial magic can only be learned at the Grand Wizard level, it is safer. Even if you learn it step by step and are a little more aggressive, if something goes wrong, you will only suffer a mental shock and will be fine after resting for a month or two at most.

However, perhaps because it was quite dangerous, the two spells together only earned him 1,862 merit points. He had a little left, so he casually selected some magical materials to make up the remaining 2,000 merit points. Isaac then handed the spellbook to the tower spirit, and sat on the sofa leisurely drinking milk, waiting for the tower spirit to bring the items over.

"Huh? Isaac? What are you doing here?"

Isaac was drinking milk when suddenly, Princess Philo came down the stairs and looked at Isaac in surprise.

"Princess? I'm here to exchange merit materials. What about you?" Isaac looked at Philo curiously. Didn't she have her own mage tower? She couldn't possibly be here to ambush him, could she?

"I've told you many times, just call me Philo." Philo walked over and sat down opposite Isaac. With a flick of her wrist, a golden token appeared. "Coincidentally, I'm here to exchange something too."

"Hmm? The Emperor's Token?" Isaac's pupils contracted slightly, not only because he felt a deadly threat from this token, but also because this token was the very thing he had seen in the manual before!

-

Imperial Decree: Summons the power of the Terran Emperor, capable of instantly killing any higher life form or lower within the Empire! (If a deal with the Outer God fails, the Emperor can repel the Outer God, averting all costs. The Imperial Decree will be revoked upon use.)

-

"Are you making a deal with the Outer Gods?"

"Well, we've accumulated enough merit points over this period of time. We'll take a gamble before the Genie's Lamp Trial. If we succeed, our chances of victory will be even greater." With that, Philo smiled and shook the token in her hand.

Isaac's lips twitched slightly. Well, now he knew why Filo, the princess of the empire, chose to become a mad witch. It turned out she wasn't afraid of failure...

So it turns out they're the wicked second-generation rich kids!

he tui!

Isaac despises this kind of person from the bottom of his heart!

All he knows is to rely on his father's glory, unlike him, who can only rely on himself!

"Since we've come across this, shall we go check it out?"

"Is this appropriate?" Isaac was slightly taken aback. The ritual of exchanging with the Outer Gods was the Mad Witch's specialty, and it was something he could just reveal so easily.

"It's okay, we're teammates, we should trust each other more," Philo said sweetly, tilting her head.

"Thank you for your trust!" Isaac nodded gratefully.

In reality, she curled her lip in disdain, thinking, "Why make it sound so nice? It's just because others can't learn it. What skills are there? It's just because someone has a good father that they won't fail."

At the same time, Isaac became more wary of Philo; the guy was being far too enthusiastic.
