Steadfast Wizard: From Heart-Swapping Rat to Dimensional Demon God

The next day, Isaac stretched comfortably, patted his cheeks to wake himself up, and then quickly sat down at his desk. He first copied down the forbidden knowledge he had obtained from the Black Orc God before he began to study the spells in the animal skin book.

The book of animal hides only contains four spells: three that demonize black orcs and one that removes the demonization of half-orcs.

Isaac looked at the first three: Fel summoning, Fel infusion, and Fel shaping.

All three spells are very simple, with a low barrier to entry. Their success rate is also very high thanks to the excellent corrosive and assimil-like ability of demonic energy, which can even be mass-produced!

Isaac mastered the three spells after only watching them twice, but they were of little use in solving the problem.

Because these three extremely simple spells only demonstrate that turning a black orc into a demon requires absolutely no skill, there is no way to crack the code from this angle.

As for the spell to remove demonization...

Isaac took a look and realized it was utterly pointless!

He knew that a scoundrel like the Black Orc God wouldn't be so kind!

The spell to remove demonization is called Extract Fel Energy.

Simply put, these black orcs haven't been corrupted by fel energy deeply enough, so they've only become demonized, not truly demonized. Therefore, in this state, as long as the fel energy is extracted from their bodies, the demonization will be lifted.

The problem lies here: first, fel extraction is a single-target spell; second, the target must remain stationary during the extraction process, otherwise the extraction will be interrupted...

This is ridiculous. I can control the Black Orcs, so killing him with one strike would be much easier than this.

Only someone with a brain problem would let you save the black orc!

Isaac had roughly guessed this, which is why he didn't ask for a solution directly during the ceremony.

However, it's not like we have absolutely no ideas...

Isaac stroked his chin, pondering the possibility of turning the Fel Extraction spell into a ritual spell. If it could be performed ritually, things would be much easier.

but……

"Tsk~"

After thinking for a moment, Isaac shook his head. No.

These four spells are extremely simplified, almost to the point of being arcane. With his current abilities, he cannot convert them into ritual spells.

After realizing he couldn't do it, Isaac put the spell aside. Continuing to study it would only be a waste of time. Instead of wasting time on this, he should study other aspects, which might lead to further improvements.

For example, forbidden knowledge that I just obtained from the Black Orc God!

Isaac was also very interested in necromancy. In his previous life, he loved the necromantic calamities in Western fantasy novels, where people would summon a large army of undead at any time, which was incredibly cool!

However, he certainly wouldn't use it himself, since using this thing would shorten his lifespan!

But he can't use it, but the mouse can!

The rats are a divine species, immune to the corruption of death magic, and the three necromancy spells they obtained from the Black Orc God also have divine versions, so there's no need for much research.

The three necromancy spells obtained from the Black Orc God are Bone Construction, Bone Explosion, and Bone Enhancement, but Isaac's favorite, Summon Skeletons, is missing.

It doesn't matter, it's not like he's using it anyway.

The skeleton's structure allows one to manipulate death magic. By injecting death magic into the skeleton, it can be reassembled according to one's own will, and its actions must be controlled through death magic.

So even if you create a skeleton soldier, it's useless; its combat power is actually lower.

The most suitable use Isaac could think of was to construct a bone sword that could be made to fly in the air using death magic—a magical version of a flying sword!

He's handsome too!

However, this little mouse might not be able to use its brain to its full potential...

"Sigh~"

Thinking of this, Isaac sighed. Although he had been working hard to improve the mouse's intelligence, the progress was still worrying, and he didn't know where the problem lay.

But even if flying swords can't be used, this divine technique should still significantly boost the mouse's combat power.

Not to mention the other two spells that work together. Bone Explosion is easy to understand; it detonates the magic within the bones, causing them to explode. Both the flying bone fragments and the death magic spreading with the explosion are extremely powerful, making it a variant of the classic necromancy spell Corpse Explosion.

Skeleton enhancement uses death magic to strengthen skeletons. It can temporarily increase the strength of skeletons, or it can be used for nurturing to gradually increase the strength of skeletons.

There are three divine spells in total, but only one can be implemented at present. The other two will have to wait until the rat's divine status is further improved.

This will take time and patience.

There are three ways to enhance one's divine status. The most common way is to absorb the power of faith. As long as there is enough power of faith, one's divine status can continue to evolve until one becomes a true god!

However, this is difficult to achieve. The faith he guides with magic can only exist for a period of time, and at most can only be used to construct a divine network. It cannot be absorbed by the rat. And apart from using magical means, with the rat's current strength...

To be honest, it's hard to get other creatures to believe in it.

The second method is to improve by absorbing other divine essences. This is much simpler. Isaac can continuously create other divine rats for the rats to absorb. Although the improvement is not high each time, as long as you are willing to work hard, you can still see hope.

Moreover, with each modification surgery, Isaac gains a deeper understanding of it, and perhaps it won't be long before he can simplify it into a simpler spell, improving efficiency.

If the first two were still within Isaac's expectations, then the third one was completely beyond Isaac's comprehension—the ability to become stronger by absorbing magic power!

In other words, it's possible to cultivate!

In Isaac's stereotype, faith in God can only make Him stronger by absorbing faith, and once faith is lost, He will become weaker and even fall from His pedestal!

Therefore, when he discovered that the rat could strengthen the divine network within its body by absorbing magic, he was very shocked and thought he had created something extraordinary.

However, after checking the information, Isaac realized he was wrong. It turned out that this was a characteristic of all the gods in the world. In addition to the power of faith, they could also restore their power and even become stronger by absorbing magic.

Furthermore, even if they lose their faith, their power will not be weakened; only the speed of their ascension will be affected.

This is different from the high knights who follow the path of faith, as their strength will decline without the nourishment of faith power.

Therefore, the birth of such high-ranking knights is strictly controlled within each territory.

Unfortunately, this still has nothing to do with mice...

With its current intelligence, it can only absorb magic power instinctively. It can't even recognize all the words, so don't expect it to learn meditation techniques.

"Tsk~" Looking at the mouse on the operating table, whose skeletal structure had been mastered but who was still unconscious, Isaac wondered if he should take advantage of his family's support and make a deal with an Outer God to get something that could accelerate its intellectual development...

Otherwise, this is too slow...
