Chapter 70 Crimson Demon

Not long after this farce, they arrived at the island marked on the map as a place where demons were said to appear.

The group arrived at a boulder on the beach. There were three clear claw marks on the boulder, and some reddish hairs were hanging on the bark of the tree next to it.

"Jiang Yu, can you tell what kind of demon made this?" Nan Jue asked Jiang Yu, who was touching the claw mark with his hand.

They had only taken a couple of steps when they saw more than a dozen crimson Rift Demons jump out from over there, each one waving its arms and roaring wildly.

"Hehe, well, I thought I shouldn't get all the limelight, so let's all do it together." Zhao Manyan chuckled.

Bai Feng smiled lightly, showing no intention of making a move. What was his strength? He was a handsome and friendly young man whose strength alone could suppress monarch-level demons. Was it necessary for him to personally kill these warrior-level lesser demons?

"Hehe, Mo Fan, let's see who kills more!" Guan Yu said to Mo Fan, connecting with the wind-element star.

After dealing with these crimson rift demons, Ai Jiangtu suddenly walked towards the corpse of one of the crimson rift demons, observed it for a moment, and then stretched out his hand to use his spatial power to tear open the belly of the crimson rift demon in front of him.

Everyone frowned at Ai Jiangtu's actions, wondering what he was up to.

Mu Tingying from the Mu family exclaimed in shock, "Oh my! Captain, what are you doing? That's disgusting!" She bent over and covered her stomach and mouth as if she were vomiting.

Bai Feng frowned, but when he thought of Ai Jiangtu taking out a recently deceased infant from the belly of a demon in the original story, he became angry and a trace of killing intent emanated from him.

"Holy crap, Lao Bai, what's wrong?!" Mo Fan turned around to look at Bai Feng after feeling the cold and the stinging sensation on his skin. He exclaimed in surprise when he saw a trace of killing intent gathering around Bai Feng.

"There's a baby inside!" Bai Feng's words were filled with murderous intent, sending chills down the spines of those around him.

"A baby?! Why would there be a baby outside this safe zone?!" Zhao Manyan exclaimed incredulously.

"The baby couldn't possibly have left Anjie, but someone sent him outside of Anjie!" Bai Feng calmed himself down so as not to upset the team members around him.

"That's impossible! If someone were to feed a baby to a demon, all the high-ranking officials in Asuka City would be dragged out and hacked to death!" Jiang Shaoxu said in disbelief.

"Why do you think our mentor dumped us here? If everything's alright here, let's figure out a way to sneak out of Sakura now," Bai Feng said calmly, sounding neither happy nor sad.

These words left everyone speechless. After a short silence, Ai Jiangtu spoke up, saying, "Well then, Jiang Yu, Mu Tingying, and Li Kaifeng, the three of you go back to Feibiao City to investigate the missing baby incident. We'll go and raid the Crimson Rift Demon's lair."

"Okay, leave it to me. As long as they didn't deliberately cut off the clues, I can find the information on Asuka City for you," Jiang Yu patted his chest and assured him.

"Then how do we locate the Crimson Rift Demon's lair?" Zhao Manyan asked.

"This one." Bai Feng tossed the little Crimson Demon in his hand, indicating that this guy should lead the way.

"Leave it to me." Jiang Shaoxu used a mental mark on Chi Lingyao, and was then kicked into the sea by Bai Feng.

"Let's go, follow them, and see just how strong these beasts are!"

Mo Fan stretched his arms, looking like he was about to fight.

"Let's go, I'm also fed up with these bastards!" Zhao Manyan cracked his knuckles, making them creak.

"Let's go, get on the ship." Ai Jiangtu took the lead and boarded the deck, beckoning everyone to follow the Crimson Demon.

The group followed the direction Jiang Shaoxu sensed, staying behind the little red-headed demon.

Not long after, Jiang Shaoxu stopped the boat, sensing that the Crimson Demon had come ashore.

"There are three small islands ahead, and all the Crimson Demons are on those three islands, but there is a considerable gap between them," Jiang Shaoxu said with some difficulty.

"Don't rush to conclusions. Let the wind element go and investigate." Nan Jue, as expected of a military mages, only believed what he saw with his own eyes.

"Okay, I'll go." Guan Yu nodded helplessly when he saw that everyone's eyes were on him.
