Chapter 12 Intermediate Awakening, Azure Sky Hunting Grounds

Chapter 12 Intermediate Awakening, Azure Sky Hunting Grounds

After Bai Feng arrived in Hangzhou, he sent Yunmeng Beast back, because he didn't want to reveal his summoning abilities. Then he used the Ethereal Steps to get outside the city.

After entering the city through the normal procedures, Bai Feng went straight to the Hangzhou Magic Association.

"Hello, how can I help you?" the receptionist asked politely.

"Awakening magic requires no appointment," Bai Feng said calmly.

"Okay, please follow me." After helping Bai Feng complete the formalities, the young lady led him to the Awakening Room.

"Master Li, someone has awakened their magical powers."

"Alright, let him in." An old voice came from inside the house.

"Someone will awaken your powers once you enter," the young woman said before leaving.

After the receptionist left, Bai Feng went straight into the Awakening Room, where there was no elderly man sitting.

Upon seeing Bai Feng, the old man stood up and asked, "Do you have any magic you like?"

Bai Feng had already thought it through, so he replied, "Randomly."

"Oh?" The old man glanced at Bai Feng and said, "Go in. Just put your hand on the Awakening Stone once you're inside."

Bai Feng nodded and went inside.

After Bai Feng placed his hand on the Awakening Stone, an ominous aura suddenly appeared in his spiritual world.

"This is a curse-type magic, not bad, right?" Bai Feng released a trace of summoning magic energy after opening his eyes.

After Bai Feng went out to awaken the old man behind the house, he saw the moon-white glow of the awakening stone that had not yet dimmed.

"You've awakened a summoning ability!" The old man looked puzzled. How did he manage to randomly awaken a summoning ability?

"Hmm," Bai Feng replied and left.

After leaving the Magic Association, Bai Feng bought a ticket and returned to Bo City.

After returning to Bocheng, Bai Feng went straight to Lin Yun'er's house, only to find that Lin Yuxin was not home.

"Brother Bai Feng, you're back!" Lin Yun'er rushed to Bai Feng as soon as she opened the door.

"Yun'er, have you missed me?" Bai Feng dragged Lin Yun'er into the house, closing the door behind him with his right foot.

"Mmm, I've been thinking about it every day!" Lin Yun'er said sweetly.

"Hey, this is a harmonica magic tool. When you blow it with sonic magic, it will produce a sonic attack." Bai Feng had already made it before.

"Wow, Brother Bai Feng is so nice!" Lin Yun'er kissed Bai Feng right away.

"Well, Yun'er, I'll only stay for a few days this time. I'm going to Shanghai this time," Bai Feng said apologetically.

"Okay, Brother Bai Feng, I'll wait for you to come back." Lin Yun'er pushed Bai Feng down onto the bed.

Bai Feng did not resist Lin Yun'er, and soon sounds of pleasure could be heard.

That night, Bai Feng stayed at Lin Yun'er's house. When Lin Yuxin returned home, she saw the clothes that had been taken off on the floor. She blushed, picked up the clothes, put them away, and went back to her room.

Lin Yuxin actually knew about Bai Feng a long time ago. After all, he was the one who saved her sister, so she didn't stop her sister from liking him.

These past few days, Bai Feng has been spending time with Lin Yun'er, having meals, shopping, swimming, and playing everywhere.

"Yun'er, I'm going to Shanghai today. I'll be back in six months," Bai Feng said affectionately, cupping Lin Yun'er's face in his hands.

"Yes, yes, I'll wait for my brother to come back," Lin Yun'er said with reluctance in her eyes.

Bai Feng kissed Lin Yun'er's lips before boarding the bullet train.

After Bai Feng arrived in Shanghai, he went straight to the Hunter Alliance.

"Hello, what can I do for you?" Everyone in the Hunter's Alliance is a mage.

"Any private hunting lodges you'd recommend?" Bai Feng asked casually.

"These are all," the receptionist said, showing four or five private hunting lodges.

Bai Feng picked up the Qingtian Hunting Grounds document and said, "This is the one."

"Okay, this hunting agency seems to hire hunters quite often for some reason," the receptionist said.

Bai Feng nodded without saying anything.

"Give me that spot," Bai Feng said to the receptionist.

After obtaining the address of the Qingtian Hunting Grounds, Bai Feng went directly there.

After passing Jing'an Temple and walking along the lush, flower-lined avenue, we slowly entered some charming old streets from the Republican era.

At the end of the old street, Bai Feng immediately spotted a sign bearing the name of Qingtian Hunting Grounds, creaking gently in the alleyway breeze.

As I got a little closer, I finally saw this old shop that looked just like a traditional Chinese-English teahouse.

At the entrance of the old shop, a little girl with long pigtails was sitting on a stool, swinging her cute little legs as she looked at a picture book.

The young woman noticed someone approaching and, without looking up, said, "Do you want to hire someone? The starting price is 300,000, and the price will be adjusted according to the difficulty of the task. We don't accept commissions from just anyone for less than 300,000."

Bai Feng chuckled to himself, thinking, "This little Lingling is really precocious." He then said, "I'm not here to make a request; I'm here for an interview. The Hunter Alliance should have notified you."

"You? You're so young, are you sure you can do it?" Little Lingling raised her tender little face and asked suspiciously.

"Hehe, little girl, you're much younger than me, aren't you?" Bai Feng said, patting Lingling's head.

"Don't touch my head!" Lingling said, like a cat with its fur standing on end.

"Lingling, has someone commissioned you?" an old voice asked from inside the house.

"Grandpa, you're here for a job interview. You're too young, we don't want you." Lingling said into the house, then glared at Bai Feng before continuing to read her book.

Bai Feng's lips twitched. This little girl is too vengeful.

"Hehe, come in, young man. That's just how Lingling is," the old man said with a smile as he walked out and glanced at Bai Feng.

"Excuse me," Bai Feng said from the doorway before pushing the door open and entering.

As soon as Bai Feng entered, he saw the old man sitting down at the counter, holding a pipe and puffing away.

"Hello, sir. You must be the owner here." Bai Feng handed over his hunter's badge.

"Hehe, I'm the director here. You can call me Old Man Bao from now on." Old Man Bao took the badge Bai Feng handed over. "Hmm, almost advanced intermediate hunter, dual-elemental intermediate level."

Old Bao looked Bai Feng up and down, thinking to himself, "How come I can't tell this kid's cultivation level? It's like he's shrouded in a fog. He seems quite extraordinary. I'll take him."

"You've been accepted. Starting today, you're an employee here. We work in pairs, so I'll assign you a partner. You two will split the bounty money yourselves; the station won't take a penny. There's also a room in the attic; you can move in there," Old Man Bao said after recording the information.

"Okay, old man Bao, where's my partner?" Bai Feng asked, feigning concern.

"Look, that's right behind you," Old Bao said, pointing to Bai Feng's back.

Bai Feng turned his head and found no one there. "There's nobody here."

"I'm here!" Lingling stomped her foot and said in dissatisfaction.

"Um, are you sure about this little girl, Old Man Bao?" Bai Feng looked at the petite girl who was about 1.2 meters tall.

"Hmph! You're the little girl, you have to call me senior sister!" Lingling said, holding up her head as she took out her Hunter Master badge.

Bai Feng pretended to be surprised and picked up the badge to compare it with his own.

"Hmph! I'm the one who's mentoring you, you newbie." Lingling proudly raised her head.

"Hehe, Lingling is just a bit of a character, don't mind her," Old Man Bao said to Bai Feng with a smile.

"Okay, then Lingling, please guide me." Bai Feng reached out and patted Lingling's head.

"I told you not to touch my head!"

After touching the room, Bai Feng took his luggage and went upstairs to tidy up his room.

After finishing tidying up and going downstairs, I asked Lingling, "Are there any bounty quests?"

"Yes, I just received a call. Several bronze-scaled fish have appeared in a lake in a villa area in the east of the city. They can't handle it there, so they asked us to go over there," Lingling said without turning her head as she typed on the computer.

"What are we waiting for? Let's go." Bai Feng picked up Lingling, summoned the Cloud Dream Beast, and headed straight for the villa district in the east of the city.

Old Bao stared in astonishment as Bai Feng, carrying his granddaughter, walked away. Then, remembering that Bai Feng didn't have the qualifications to summon beasts within the city, he picked up his phone, sent a message, and then chuckled and scolded, "That brat!"

Lingling blushed slightly as she looked at herself being held in Bai Feng's arms, then her gaze was drawn to the Cloud Dream Beast summoned by Bai Feng.

"What kind of summoned beast is that?" Lingling asked curiously.

"What, are you curious? Call me 'brother' and let me hear it," Bai Feng teased the little girl.

"Pah, I won't call you that, don't even think about it!" Lingling spat.

"Haha, this is the Dark Cloud Dream Beast, a summon beast of the lightning and shadow types," Bai Feng explained.
