Chapter 105 Nazca Lines

The group rapidly activated their winged magical artifacts and flew through the sky. They learned from Osto that the strange bird would come again in about seven days. Last time, it was almost an entire tribe that came. Given that the number of birds was increasing each time, the next time there might be hundreds of thousands or even millions of them.

Ugh, just thinking about it sends chills down my spine.

"Look what's over there!" Nan Jue exclaimed first after the group arrived at the rocky beach.

Following Nan Jue's gaze, one could see that the strange rocks and lines on the Gobi Desert formed a huge stone painting of a strange ape.

This scene immediately shocked the group heading to Nazca. They had been walking on the ground and had no idea what the strange lines meant, even though they had seen some strange lines. But when they looked down at the land from hundreds of meters above, they realized that it was a giant stone image spread out on the ground. The image depicted was exactly the strange ape and demon that Osto had shown them.

On their flight from Royal Felipe Castle to Nazca, they learned about the mineral veins from Osto and saw descriptions of the Nazca monsters. What they never expected was that the Ape-Shaped Drawing would be etched into the forbidden land of Nazca. While not exactly lifelike, from a bird's-eye view, the earth served as the canvas, and the lines as the beast's outline—it was truly incredible. Who possessed such skill and energy to create such a "work"?!

"Look over there!" Zhao Manyan said somewhat inappropriately, pointing to a painting not far away.

The group then used their Winged Magic Tools to fly towards the location Zhao Manyan pointed to. Upon arriving above this area, they saw numerous spiral patterns appearing on the ground, along with straight lines, as if a sophisticated instrument had been used to make a vertical cut in the earth.

These patterns and long lines clearly depict the Nazca Lines that relentlessly pursued them. These birds nearly killed a group of National Government members, and they would never forget them even if they were reduced to ashes.

"There, there's another picture of a spider!" Jiang Shaoxu said, pointing to the picture not far away.

"No wonder the locals say this is a forbidden land of the gods. These paintings are simply left behind by ancient gods. It's incredible," Nan Jue said with deep emotion.

"Why should we care so much? We're being targeted by the strange bird. We should think about how to solve this problem of being chased by the strange bird." Zhao Manyan didn't care about miracles. He just wanted to get rid of the strange bird's pursuit. Nothing good had happened since he came to Peru. His little brother hadn't had any fun in ages.

"Let's go down and look for clues on the strange bird map," Mo Fan said.

Ever since Bai Feng realized he had lost his memories, he had been frowning, because he didn't know what caused it. If a mind-based mage could erase Bai Feng's memories without him noticing, then that would undoubtedly be a forbidden mind-based spell mage, but he had never encountered such a powerful figure before.

But if it wasn't a mind-based forbidden spellcaster who did it, then why did he forget this part of the original story? Was it because of the Nazca Curse? He wasn't sure. He just wanted to leave Peru as soon as possible. He wasn't sure if he would lose even more of his memories if he stayed any longer.

"Old Bai, what's wrong? You've been frowning ever since you arrived. Did you find something?" Mo Fan nudged Bai Feng's shoulder as he looked at him.

Bai Feng shook his head, indicating that he had not found anything. Mo Fan was just trying to change the subject, because everyone was under immense pressure because they were unsure whether they could solve the Nazca Lines mystery before the next attack by the strange bird.

Just like in the original story, the group set up tents on the summit of Nazca Mountain. During this time, they saw eerie white light surging within the Ape-shaped geoglyphs, and in the dead of night, they saw the Spider-shaped geoglyphs glowing with a scarlet light. In the misty night, they could vaguely see swarms of spiders crawling in a fixed direction.

This scene left everyone speechless. This place was truly bizarre, and perhaps many years from now, no one will be able to solve the Nazca Lines mystery.

Aside from eating, Bai Feng was like a statue. Now, looking at the ground paintings below him from the mountaintop, he felt that he would soon find the answer!

Bai Feng watched as the sun slowly rose from the east. Standing atop the mountain, he could see a series of astonishing geoglyphs. Bathed in the morning light, these geoglyphs gained an air of sanctity, as if they existed to protect something, their protection enduring through the vicissitudes of time.

With the help of the morning light, Bai Feng's gaze fell directly on the head of the strange bird, or more precisely, on the eyes, which were depicted as dark.

Upon seeing this, all of Bai Feng's memories of this plot came flooding back, and he finally understood the whole story.

"Come on up, I've found the answer!" Bai Feng said to the people resting in the tents halfway up the mountain.

When everyone reached the summit, they were greeted by a breathtaking scene. The geoglyphs were a unified whole, and especially under the morning light, the missing parts were clearly visible. So, the next step was to find the eyes of the Nazca Lines.

"I don't think those strange birds were chasing us. They just don't know who stole the eyes. But we happened to be passing through here at that time, so we were naturally marked by the strange birds. Now, as long as we find the strange birds' eyes, the problem should be solved!" Bai Feng said, sharing his analysis from his memory and reality.

"Was it stolen by one of our team members?" Jiang Shaoxu asked.

"Yeah! Could it be that they stole it? That's why they didn't want to come here," Zhao Manyan said.

"It shouldn't be them. If they were the thieves, they would have released us after we almost died in the castle, and no one would have taken it out. This means none of us are the thieves!" Nan Jue said, recalling the actions of everyone along the way.

"Besides us, other places have also been attacked by Nazca, and the Arie mine is one of them. Others may not know that there is such a treasure here. What we can confirm now is that the gem of the Nazca Bird's eye is definitely in the Arie mine. As for who stole it, that's none of our business. Let them investigate it themselves." Bai Feng's persuasive words stunned everyone, and then they decided to do as Bai Feng said.

Bai Feng then had Nan Jue take some pictures of the Nazca Lines as evidence, lest the Peruvians insist that it was the work of the Nationalist government.
