Primordial Era: Reborn as Zhen Yuanzi, taking control of the underground passage
Chapter 213 Nuwa and Fuxi Meet Jieyin and Zhunti
Chapter 213 Nuwa and Fuxi Meet Jieyin and Zhunti
The wilderness is vast and time flows on.
Since the emergence of the new generation of innate deities, who declared their existence, countless years have passed.
These sacred beings, born of great destiny, possess profound foundations and extraordinary talents.
After stabilizing their cultivation as Great Luo Golden Immortals in their respective dojos and becoming familiar with the laws and powers they controlled, their hearts, yearning to explore the endless wilderness, seek opportunities, and make friends with like-minded people, began to stir.
In an instant, the figure of a great supernatural being once again appeared on the long-silent primordial land.
Whether they were searching for magical treasures, verifying their knowledge, or building good relationships, their actions added much vitality and change to the newly reborn wilderness after the catastrophe.
Buzhou Mountain, within the celestial palace of clouds and sea.
Nuwa and Fuxi sat facing each other, their bodies exuding a harmonious Daoist aura and a vast, powerful presence, clearly indicating that they had completely solidified their status as Great Luo Golden Immortals.
Nuwa was surrounded by the energy of creation and life, as if she could bring all things to life with a single thought; Fuxi held the phantom of the Eight Trigrams, deducing the secrets of heaven, his eyes gleaming with wisdom.
"Brother," Nuwa said softly, her voice clear and melodious, "our cultivation is now solid; it's time for us to descend the mountain and travel."
I am always grateful to the elder Zhen Yuanzi, who once preached the Dao to thousands of refugees at the foot of Buzhou Mountain, invoking the merits of the Heavenly Dao, and later relocated living beings and protected the region.
His teachings were profound, and he was compassionate, which greatly inspired my siblings and me when we were beginning to understand the Tao.
I would like to first visit the Wuzhuang Temple on Longevity Hill to express my gratitude.
Upon hearing this, Fuxi nodded in agreement: "Excellent. Senior Zhen Yuanzi is indeed a true cultivator of the Dao. The Dao of the Earth that he governs is all-encompassing and profound, and there are aspects of our Dao that we can learn from."
Furthermore, I've heard that he has formed an alliance with Ancestor Hongyun and the Yin-Yang Daoist, indicating his considerable power. Therefore, paying him a visit would be a matter of courtesy.
Having made their decision, the brother and sister rode on auspicious clouds, leaving Buzhou Mountain and leisurely heading towards Longevity Mountain in the east.
Wherever Nuwa passed, lotuses bloomed in the void, and plants rejoiced; Fuxi, on the other hand, kept his aura inward, as if he had merged with the surrounding天地 (heaven and earth) into one.
Meanwhile, in the west, Mount Sumeru.
Jieyin and Zhunti also ended their initial period of seclusion.
Although the western lands are barren, they possess their own unique strengths, having been blessed with the destiny of the West.
The guide's face still carried a hint of sorrow, but his eyes were incredibly firm.
Zhunti's expression was slightly distressed, but his eyes were bright and intelligent as he looked around at the land they were determined to revitalize.
"Senior brother," Zhunti said, "Now that we have been born into this world, we should cultivate good relationships and seek out great masters in order to revitalize the Dharma in the West."
In my humble opinion, we should first go to the Wuzhuang Temple on Longevity Mountain to express our gratitude to the senior Zhen Yuanzi for his past teachings and guidance.
Jieyin nodded slowly, his voice carrying a unique rhythm: "Junior brother is absolutely right."
When we were conceived, Senior Zhen Yuanzi preached outside, pointing first to the core of the Great Luo. This grace is like being reborn.
Furthermore, he can repair the Western Earth's veins, accumulating immeasurable merit. His cultivation is unfathomable. If one could receive even a little guidance from him, or gain his approval, it would be a great blessing for our West.
The two agreed and did not delay any longer. They rode a slightly dim but incredibly resilient golden light away from Mount Sumeru and headed towards Mount Longevity.
Within their escaping light, there was a hidden, grand will; though their lives were somewhat austere, they possessed an unshakable will.
In the vast and boundless wilderness, by sheer coincidence, these two groups of deities, both with the same goal of visiting Zhen Yuanzi at Wuzhuang Temple, unexpectedly met in the sky above a beautiful mountain range not far from Wanshou Mountain.
Nuwa and Fuxi's auspicious clouds are serene and peaceful, exuding a natural Taoist charm; Jieyin and Zhunti's golden light radiates unwavering power and a unique aura.
The four powerful auras of Grand Luo Golden Immortals met in the air, instantly causing subtle changes in the surrounding spiritual energy. The wind stopped, the clouds stagnated, and birds and beasts fell silent.
Both sides were taken aback for a moment, and then slowed down.
A fleeting image of the Eight Trigrams flashed in Fuxi's eyes, and he deduced the identities and backgrounds of the two people, who were favored by the Western Qi and were not evil.
He took the initiative to cup his hands in greeting, his voice gentle: "Are you two fellow Daoists, Jieyin and Zhunti, from Mount Sumeru in the West? I am Fuxi, and this is my younger sister, Nuwa. Greetings."
When Jieyin and Zhunti saw that the other party had an extraordinary demeanor and pure Daoist charm, and especially that Fuxi could call him by his name first, knowing his background, they were also in awe and dared not be negligent.
He returned the greeting, his voice filled with compassion: "So it is fellow Daoists Fuxi and Nuwa of Buzhou Mountain. This humble Daoist is Jieyin, and this is my junior brother Zhunti. Greetings."
Nuwa nodded slightly in greeting, her clear eyes surveying the two Western guests.
Zhunti, quick-witted as ever, noticed that the other party was also heading towards Longevity Mountain, and asked, "Judging from your demeanor, fellow Daoists, are you also heading to Wuzhuang Temple on Longevity Mountain?"
Fuxi nodded with a smile: "Indeed. My younger sister and I are deeply grateful for the guidance and instruction given by Senior Zhen Yuanzi at Buzhou Mountain, and have come to pay our respects. May I ask about you two fellow Daoists—"
Upon hearing this, Jieyin's sorrowful expression seemed to lessen, and his tone carried a hint of emotion: "What a coincidence! My junior brother and I are here to express our gratitude to Senior Zhen Yuanzi for his teachings outside Mount Sumeru."
"Our predecessors imparted the foundation of the Great Dao to us when we were still innocent and ignorant; this kindness is as heavy as a mountain."
Upon hearing this, the four deities exchanged a smile, instantly feeling a sense of closeness. It turned out that they had all received the grace of the same predecessor.
Nuwa said softly, "Senior Zhen Yuanzi is compassionate and possesses profound Taoist magic. He preached on Mount Buzhou in the past, guiding all living beings and accumulating immeasurable merit. I never expected that you would also manifest yourself and preach in the Western Lands."
Zhunti quickly chimed in, his tone filled with admiration: "Indeed! What you said, senior, though it is basic, points to the core of the Great Dao, laying an unparalleled foundation for us."
Moreover, he could single-handedly repair the shattered ley lines of the West and purify countless vengeful spirits. Such supernatural power and such a magnanimous heart are simply... Alas, if our West could possess even a fraction of his abilities, what worries would we have about not prospering!
Towards the end, his tone inevitably carried a touch of Western-specific hardship and longing.
Fuxi, being wise and insightful, smiled and said, "Since we share the same goal—to pay our respects to Senior Zhen Yuanzi—why not travel together? We can discuss the Dao along the way and verify each other's understanding. Wouldn't that be wonderful?"
Jieyin and Zhunti readily agreed: "That is indeed our wish; we dare not ask!"
Thus, the four innate deities, representing different regions and different paths, set off together towards the Wuzhuang Temple on Longevity Mountain.
Along the way, we were accompanied by clouds and gentle breezes.
Since we are colleagues, it is natural to discuss our ideas.
Fuxi lectured on the mysteries of celestial deduction and the changes of the Eight Trigrams, explaining how to grasp the glimmer of hope and destiny amidst the myriad phenomena.
As he spoke, he conjured up divination symbols and runes in the void, revealing good and bad fortune, which broadened the horizons of Jieyin and Zhunti, making them deeply aware of the profound mysteries of the true Pangu lineage.
Nuwa then briefly discussed the vitality of creation and the beauty of life's creation.
She didn't go deep, but the occasional glimpse of life from her fingertips could transform stubborn rocks, causing them to sprout spiritual moss, leaving Jieyin and Zhunti mesmerized and filled with endless longing for the Dao of Creation.
Both Jieyin and Zhunti generously shared their own insights into the path of Nirvana, compassion, and great vows.
He explained the suffering in the world and made a great vow to save all sentient beings; his voice was compassionate yet firm.
The Cundi school explains how to find true reality in quiescence and seize a glimmer of hope in suffering. Although its methods may seem somewhat ingenious, they offer a unique path and contain great wisdom.
Their path, imbued with the unique resilience of the West and a sense of responsibility that says "If not me, then who?", made Fuxi and Nuwa nod in approval, thinking to themselves that these two from the West were indeed extraordinary.
The four deities, though their paths differed, all shared the same goal: to pursue transcendence and the Great Dao in the unseen realm.
Although the discussion was brief, everyone felt they had benefited greatly, and their understanding and respect for each other deepened considerably.
The slight barriers that might have arisen due to region and background quietly melted away in this exchange on the Great Dao.
"The fact that Senior Zhen Yuanzi is so respected by all of you fellow Daoists is truly admirable," Nuwa murmured, gazing at the faint outline of Longevity Mountain ahead.
"The way of our predecessors encompasses heaven and earth and benefits all living beings. It is our good fortune to have met such a senior." Jieyin sincerely echoed.
The four streaks of light accelerated, piercing through layers of clouds and mist. The majestic and auspicious Longevity Mountain, with its soaring aura, and the ancient Taoist temple atop it—Wuzhuang Temple—were now clearly in sight.
