The Silent Witch of Hogwarts
Chapter 570 Hilo's Visit
Chapter 570 Hilo's Visit
Have you noticed that the pattern on the stairs seems to have changed recently?
"Has it changed? I feel like it's gotten faster."
"Why do I feel like things have slowed down?"
In the corridors of Hogwarts, students were casually discussing something strange about the castle lately.
"And the auditorium, haven't you noticed that the candles there have been flickering lately? They don't seem very bright."
"Could it be that Hogwarts is just too old?"
"Maybe we should spend some money to fix it?"
Hearing the students' murmurs around her, Shiloh shook her head and stepped forward. Her appearance at Hogwarts was indeed a bit strange and had attracted the attention of many students, but she didn't care about them.
She came here to find Loila and discuss the mysterious seaside cave. She had been thinking about writing a letter, but felt it was better to discuss such an important matter in person.
Of course, she didn't forget the necklace around her neck. Although Loila said that she could communicate through this necklace, Shiloh didn't really understand how to use magic circle items, and Loila hadn't explained it clearly either.
Therefore, she still doesn't quite know how to use this necklace—currently, the only function this necklace serves on her is to report tomorrow's weather.
Hmm—it looks like tomorrow should be sunny?
Hilo shook his head, stepped onto the stairs, and quietly waited for the stairs to rotate and change position on their own.
It must be said that the student was right—the Hogwarts stairs were indeed a bit faster than before, by about two seconds.
Don't ask Hilo why he knows so much; it's just that someone who can stare at an ice cube all day would have a reasonable idea of how long it would take to climb the stairs.
Soon, Shiloh arrived at the door of Loila's office.
"Bang bang bang".
However, after gently knocking on the door, nothing happened. She didn't hear that familiar voice; instead, there was only silence.
What's going on here?
Isn't she in the office?
"Lady over there." Shiloh glanced sideways at a woman who was walking by. She didn't recognize the woman, but her pink dress was indeed eye-catching.
"You—" The woman paused for a moment, then subconsciously frowned: "Do you know who I am?"
'
"Huh?" Shiloh was taken aback. She really didn't recognize the person in front of her. Was he the new Defense Against the Dark Arts professor?
"I don't know him," Hilo honestly shook his head and said, "Let me introduce myself."
"I am Heero Rozier," she said slowly. "My former Defense Against the Dark Arts professor at Hogwarts. I'm here to see Miss Hamilton."
"Hiro Rozier?" The woman in pink took a slight step back upon hearing this. "You're here to see Hamilton—?"
"Hmm." For some reason, Hilo sensed fear in her.
Does she know Loila?
"Um—I have some things to do—I'll be going now—haha—" While Hilo was still in a daze, she made a pretentious sound and then quickly left.
It wasn't until she had taken a few steps that Shiloh suddenly remembered who she was.
Isn't she the Deputy Minister of Magic? The one who kept chattering during the trial—Umbridge?
Is she now the Defense Against the Dark Arts professor at Hogwarts?
If I had known it was her, I would have said a few sarcastic things to her earlier — Hilo shook his head with a hint of regret.
But why does she seem so afraid of Loila now? Could it be that Loila did something to her?
Although Roy's attack was a bit... reckless, he probably didn't try to kill her, right?
After all, if she really thought that way, Umbridge should have died long ago, right?
After thinking for a few seconds, Shiloh decided to wait at the office door, since she would eventually have to go back to the office anyway.
As Hilo hadn't expected, she ended up waiting for three or four hours, from afternoon until evening.
She looked at the completely melted ice in front of her, pursed her lips, and looked up.
Did Loila go to study the magic array? Why hasn't she come back for so long? She looked up and glanced around. Even the students who had gathered around out of curiosity that afternoon had left.
If Heero hadn't been unfamiliar with Dumbledore, he would have asked him if he had lost Royla.
"Clatter".
But just then, Hilo heard a familiar set of footsteps.
Then she saw a figure skipping and hopping over, looking very happy.
It was Loila—she was skipping along, wearing that wizard's hat, with an unusual smile on her face.
What's wrong?
As she approached, Shiloh could even hear her humming something softly.
"Hogwarts is mine! Hogwarts is mine! Beep beep beep~"
What happy thing happened?
""
Hilo shook his head and then coughed violently.
"Ugh!"
Hilo's sudden cough startled Roy, who took a few steps back and instinctively drew her wand.
However, upon seeing that it was Shiloh, she visibly breathed a sigh of relief.
"Hello—Miss Hilo?" she said, pursing her lips. "What are you doing here?"
"I've come to see you about something," Shiloh said casually. "But you seem quite happy—"
"Ah—that—" Loila thought for a moment and said, "Shall we go inside and talk about it?"
"This place isn't—it's not very convenient—" she said, walking to the door and gently tapping her wand to open the office door.
"Miss Hilo, when did you arrive?" Loila asked instinctively, because she had been in the Room of Requirement for a whole day, or rather, she had been staying there for the past few days.
She probably wouldn't have come out if it weren't for the fact that she was running out of materials today.
"I haven't been here long," Shiloh blinked. "Maybe only four hours and twenty-three minutes."
"Four...four hours?" Loila exclaimed, her eyes wide. "That...that long?"
"Miss Hilo, why didn't you—why didn't you inform me beforehand?"
"Because this is a very important matter." Shiloh said, slowly sitting down. She looked at Loila sitting opposite her and said, "I've discovered a cave."
"Um?"
"A very unusual cave," she continued. "Not the one you woke up in—but a place that's been rigged—a place filled with an eerie atmosphere."
"This—sounds—" Loila pursed her lips, unsure how to answer. Or was it something strange?
Or is it just mysterious?
"That place is dangerous—but it's also a bit intriguing," Hilo continued. "That's why I came to see you."
"Do you have some time lately? I'd like to come with me to check out that cave."
