The Silent Witch of Hogwarts
Chapter 560 An Ominous Dream
Chapter 560 An Ominous Dream
In the deep darkness, there was not a single ray of light.
Harry opened his eyes and was surprised to find himself not in his Hogwarts dormitory, but in a huge, dark space.
He raised his head slightly and saw not the dim light or the ceiling, but endless rows of huge frames stretching far to the other side.
Where is this place?
Harry, somewhat confused, wanted to ask, but unexpectedly found himself unable to control himself—so—where is this—?
Is it Voldemort's vision?
Harry instinctively realized that this might be what Voldemort was seeing—and for some reason, he could see what Voldemort was seeing.
Voldemort glanced around. The shelves were filled with all sorts of things, most of which were covered in dust and looked old and worn out. Only a few items seemed to be brand new.
He didn't linger there for long. He walked lightly past each display shelf, finally stopping at a single shelf.
The shelf wasn't full; it just had a few things casually placed on it.
Upon seeing this, Voldemort let out a cold laugh.
Then he slightly raised his hand, took a rather exquisite box from the cup, and placed it on the shelf.
The box looks slightly ornate, with an eagle-like carving clinging to its surface, radiating a faint sheen.
What is this?
Harry didn't know what it was; he could only sense from Voldemort's actions that it might be important.
But in the end, he didn't even know where Voldemort was at that moment.
After putting the items away, Voldemort nodded slightly and then stepped deeper into the area.
The shelves here are filled with all sorts of crystal balls, the kind Harry had seen in Professor Trelawney's class.
However, compared to the crystal ball used in class, the crystal ball here seems to be of better quality, and its crystal-clear appearance is very beautiful. Of course, it also looks older, as if no one has used it for a long time.
Each crystal ball was hazy and gray, as if covered by a thin veil.
Voldemort walked quietly to a crystal ball and lowered his head slightly. Following his gaze, Harry could also see what was inside the crystal ball.
The crystal ball was flashing with images, and upon closer inspection, one could see that it appeared to be a scene of two wizards fighting.
Harry recognized it after a few seconds; it was a scene from the fight between Professor Hamilton and Tom Riddle, where Professor Hamilton's first attack had left Voldemort in a rather sorry state.
It was after that that Harry realized how formidable Professor Hamilton was.
Voldemort watched the scene unfold silently, shook his head slightly, and then walked to the next crystal ball.
With a gentle tap of his wand, the crystal ball emitted a faint glow, reflecting a mysterious luster.
The mist rolled inside the crystal ball, then peeked out from behind a corner of the veil.
It was a pink figure; just by looking at Harry, you could tell it was Umbridge.
Umbridge seemed to be walking among these huge shelves, then looking around cautiously.
What are they doing?
Just as Harry was filled with doubt, Voldemort snorted coldly.
"You're asking for it." His words sent a chill down Harry's spine, and then—the whole scene vanished.
"Huff—huff—huff!" Harry took a few quick breaths and then woke up with a start. He looked around instinctively and breathed a sigh of relief when he saw Ron still fast asleep.
I'm back—I'm back—but what was that I just saw?
Where is it?
Why is there a shadow of Umbridge?
What did Voldemort mean by saying "damn it"?
Harry lay on the bed, pale-faced, unsure of what to say.
"You dreamed about Voldemort again last night?" Hermione's eyes widened upon hearing Harry's words, and she quickly replied:
T
Have you told anyone about this?
"Not yet—not yet," Harry said, shaking his head. "I want to tell Sirius—but—"
"He's a fugitive from the Ministry of Magic," Hermione had to warn. "You'd better keep him out of the public eye—"
"I know," Harry said, glancing around. Several Aurors from the Ministry of Magic were standing not far away, watching him quietly.
Because of Sirius Black, even Harry himself was under close surveillance by the Ministry of Magic, with Aurors watching him constantly.
--------
That's why it seems a bit difficult to have any conversations with the professors.
"So what do you think this means?" Ron asked slowly from the side. "It means you saw—Umbridge or something?"
"First of all, what's in that box must be very important," Hermione whispered. "It could very well be some kind of magical artifact belonging to Voldemort!"
"That's right—" Harry nodded, sharing Hermione's opinion on this point.
but----
"Besides that magical item—why did he see Umbridge?"
"And he also said things like 'damn it' —"
Harry's words made Hermione and Ron frown as well.
"Could it be—he's going to kill Umbridge?" Ron asked in a low voice.
"But isn't everyone saying that the Ministry of Magic and Voldemort—"
"That's not necessarily true, Harry," Hermione corrected. "These are all just speculations—nobody knows the specifics."
"But there's no doubt—Voldemort might be about to make a move against Umbridge." Hermione said, nodding seriously.
"So what should we do? Tell Umbridge?" Ron said, pursing his lips. "I have to admit, this is something I'm really hesitant about."
Not only Ron, but Harry and Hermione were also a little hesitant.
After all, Umbridge—to be honest, was sometimes more hated by the students than Voldemort—
"How about we tell Headmaster Dumbledore first?" Hermione thought for a moment and said, "Headmaster Dumbledore will definitely know what to do."
"I thought you were going to say tell Professor Hamilton," Ron suddenly said with a shrug.
"Professor Hamilton is very busy," Hermione explained with a pout. "Besides—this matter concerns the Ministry of Magic, so it would be better to tell Headmaster Dumbledore."
"Hmm." Harry nodded in agreement with Hermione's statement.
But when Harry turned to look at the Aurors from the Ministry of Magic, he couldn't help but purse his lips: "But those Aurors are still—"
"Why should we care what they do?" Hermione raised an eyebrow and said, "What we need to do is save their vice minister."
