The Silent Witch of Hogwarts
Chapter 526 Farewell and New Beginnings
Chapter 526 Farewell and New Beginnings
Time flies, and soon the exams were over, marking the end of this term at Hogwarts.
In the Great Hall, Durmstrang, Beauxbatons, and the Hogwarts students sat together. They may have had conflicts and collaborations in the past, but now, as the clock ticks to the end, all that remains of those feelings is perhaps reluctance to part.
Even Durmstrang students cannot deny that the months they spent at Hogwarts were very fulfilling, although they lost their headmaster, but it was later confirmed that the so-called headmaster was not the real Karkaroff.
These conflicts were then shifted onto the incompetent Ministry of Magic, not only the British Ministry of Magic but also the German Ministry of Magic.
Students generally don't like bureaucrats, let alone somewhat incompetent ones.
Of course, the students of Beauxbatons who were most reluctant to leave Hogwarts were the students, especially Miss Fleur Delacour, who sat in her chair watching Loyla on the stage with tears in her eyes.
Her tearful appearance stirred the hearts of many Hogwarts students, and of course, Loila noticed it too.
Miss Delacour seems quite reluctant to leave Hogwarts. Is there someone she likes here?
Loila had no idea that she might be that person.
"Don't worry, Hibiscus," a few Pinecone students reassured her. "Even when you get to Beauxbatons, you'll still get a copy of the Pinecone's weekly Hamilton Professor Selections."
"I—I know."
"We'll also send you small gifts and other items that come with the magazine," another little wizard comforted her.
"Hibiscus!" Meanwhile, Miss Izaria, a core member, or rather, one of the leaders of the Pinecone Party, assigned Hibiscus a task: "You must open a new branch of our Pinecone Party in Beauxbatons, and then recruit more members!"
"Wizards all over the world should love Professor Hamilton!"
Encouraged by her words, Fleur wiped away her tears and said, "That's right, all the wizards in the world should like Professor Hamilton!"
Looking at the students below who seemed to be having an enthusiastic discussion, Dumbledore said softly to Loira, "Miss Hamilton—this term is coming to an end."
"Ah—yes—yes." Loila nodded cautiously. Whenever Dumbledore had a bad idea, he would pretend to be indifferent when he started talking to her.
"What do you want to do during summer vacation?"
"Not for now—not for now," Loila said, then quickly added, "but I'm going—I'm going on a trip, um, a trip!"
Although the trip to Northern Europe with Luna never actually began, Loila thought it would be enough to appease Dumbledore.
Given how busy he is these days, he'll definitely have to set some tasks for himself during the summer vacation.
"I see—" Dumbledore shook his head, seemingly a little disappointed. "Actually, there's something else I wanted to tell you during the summer vacation."
"Well...that's a bit of a shame."
That's really good!
Royla was pleased with her own intelligence! Now she could escape Dumbledore's schemes; she truly was a genius!
"But then again, this matter itself—seems a little inappropriate for you." Dumbledore's thoughtful expression piqued Roy's curiosity a little.
So what's going on?
So mysterious?
Meeting Royla's gaze, Dumbledore shrugged: "That's right."
"Voldemort's power is growing stronger and stronger—we need more other powers."
"So I'm thinking—should we borrow some of Grindelwald's power?"
"Um?
'
Am I not a genius?
Something seems to be wrong!
Dumbledore, seemingly oblivious to Loira's expression, said, "Perhaps we should let Severus handle this—"
"Ah—no—no, that won't do!"
"Why?" Dumbledore asked Royla. "Is it because you don't trust Professor Snape?"
"No—that's not what I meant." Loila quickly shook her head, but she didn't know how to say it.
That damned old man—I want to see Lord Grindelwald!
Even just meeting up briefly for a chat would be a great thing!
"This is a very troublesome task," Dumbledore shook his head, looking somewhat troubled. "After all, this isn't a simple conversation or anything like that."
"Instead, I want to spend some time with him."
"?!"
""
"Grindelwald knows many secrets, and he himself is a prophet—"
"Headmaster Dumbledore, let me go."
Loila's firm voice startled Dumbledore. He turned slightly to look at her: "But Miss Hamilton, don't you have other matters to attend to?"
"Could it be—that you'd like to meet Grindelwald?"
"Huh?! No! No, no!" Loila was startled by Dumbledore's sudden question. She frantically tried to say something, but ended up knocking over all the glasses on the table. The sound of them breaking silenced the entire Great Hall.
Hey! This isn't some kind of signal to smash a cup or anything! Why are you all staring at me like that?!
"Miss Hamilton, you'd better hold the cup carefully," Dumbledore said with a gentle laugh, easing the slightly awkward atmosphere.
But the tension on Loila's face hadn't disappeared. She had really been stupid just now, acting so excited—it was just spending some time with Lord Grindelwald, why was there anything so exciting about it?
But, but—Royla stared longingly at Dumbledore, her blue eyes seeming to well up with tears.
"Miss Hamilton, if you really want to go—it's not impossible," Dumbledore said calmly.
"I didn't really want to go—" Loila said, fiddling with the hem of her clothes, "I just wanted to help—"
"I----"
Dumbledore chuckled at her bashful manner, shook his head, and said, "In that case—this matter is entrusted to you, Miss Hamilton."
"You should be able to get some valuable information out of him, right?"
"No, no problem!" Royla was practically ready to draw the Deathly Hallows symbol on her chest and shout that it was for the greater good to reassure Dumbledore.
She was so excited that her hand holding the cup was trembling uncontrollably.
"However—" Dumbledore's smile deepened as he looked at Loila, who was incredibly excited but still trying her best to restrain herself.
He lowered his voice and said softly, "However—after thinking about it, I think Miss Hamilton, you shouldn't spend too much time with Grindelwald."
"After all, you two didn't have a good relationship before, did you?"
"And I remember—there was also a grudge."
We have no grudge against each other! Waaah! We really have no grudge against each other!
Dumbledore, you damned old man!
