High Martial Arts Start with Ant Talent Fusion

Chapter 96 An Unexpected Incident Occurs, Fang Fan's Family in Peril

While an earth-shattering battle was taking place at the martial arts school, Fang Zhou and Chen Xin, in a residential area far away in Jianghai City, were unusually able to stay home and rest instead of going to work.

The two snuggled together.

As the saying goes, a kiss between a middle-aged couple can lead to nightmares for several nights in a row.

However, this situation does not apply to Fang Zhou and Chen Xin, a middle-aged couple. Since having children, they have had very little time alone together, and with their respective work commitments, they cherish the time they have alone together.

"Old Fang, what do you think Fan'er is doing now?"

"Wouldn't we be running around like servants, following a group of powerful individuals?"

"Actually, I think this is pretty good."

"At least we don't have to fight monsters, so it's safer."

Lying in Fang Zhou's arms, Chen Xin slowly said, "Humans are truly complex creatures."

Before her son became a martial artist, she worried about his future. But after he became one, she was not relieved at all; instead, she became even more worried.

They worried about their son going to the battlefield, about him encountering monsters, and about him getting hurt.

Being a mother means always having to worry about this and that, even though you know it's useless to worry, you can't help it anyway.

"What do you know, you woman?"

"Fan'er is now a martial artist, although only at the beginner level, but he is still a martial artist."

"Monsters and such are nothing special. What kind of martial artist hides behind a powerful figure?"

"If all the warriors of my human race only knew how to hide in the back, they would have been wiped out by the demonic beasts countless times by now."

Fang Zhou said calmly, but seeing the woman in his arms' expression was off, he immediately realized something was wrong and quickly added.

"but..."

"Our son is lucky, he definitely won't encounter any danger. He's probably sitting in the martial arts school's office right now."

Fang Zhou breathed a sigh of relief when he saw that his wife's complexion had finally improved.

"I don't care what you say, but Fan'er is my son, a piece of my flesh. Can't I just want my son to be okay?"

Chen Xin said irritably, and Fang Zhou smiled wryly, realizing he had just said the wrong thing, and quickly changed the subject.

"Look at my wife, our son is already a martial artist, and he's not young anymore. It's time for him to advance in some areas."

"Do you need to tell me these things? Of course I know! I've been wanting to have grandchildren for ages!"

Upon hearing Fang Zhou's words, Chen Xin became excited and began to talk about the woman she had been looking for over the past few days.

"I think Xiaoyu downstairs is pretty good. She's very polite, pretty, and most importantly, she grew up with Fan'er."

"Look, this relationship doesn't even need to be cultivated, they can just get married."

"Hmm, I think it's a good idea. I think Xiaoyu is a nice girl too."

"Then I'll find an opportunity to talk to Lao Liu and let the two kids meet. Maybe that will work out, and we can have a grandson next year."

Fang Zhou couldn't help but smile as he spoke, realizing that having a child was indeed a big deal.

"Hmm, I think it's a good idea!"

"Then let's not look for an opportunity, let's do it now, since we're both free at the same time."

Chen Xin was quick to leave, so she dragged Fang Zhou along to visit someone. Fang Zhou couldn't refuse, so he had no choice but to go with his wife.

Unfortunately, the two were turned away; no one was home at Xiaoyu's house downstairs.

"Isn't this Xiaozhou? Where are you and your husband headed?"

In the stairwell, just as Fang Zhou and Chen Xin were about to go back, they encountered an elderly man coming up.

"Oh, it's Old Zhao. We were just about to visit someone, but we're not home yet and we're about to head back."

Fang Zhou looked at the old man in front of him. Despite his advanced age and frail appearance, he had no problem going up and down stairs and was in very good health.

Mr. Zhao moved here a few days ago, and everyone quickly got to know each other.

"Haha, that's perfect."

"This old man is just worried about having no one to play chess with. If you don't mind this old man being a bother, Xiao Zhou, how about playing a few games with me?"

Old Zhao laughed heartily, his voice full of energy.

"How could I possibly find Old Zhao troublesome!"

"Let's go, this time we're going to dominate the battlefield."

Fang Zhou did not refuse. Ever since Old Zhao moved in, the two of them would occasionally take some time to play a few games of chess and chat happily with him.

According to Mr. Zhao, some of his words and experiences are valuable lessons.

The two acted as if they had known each other for a long time and were close friends despite their age difference.

Chen Xin was very happy to see that her husband had a chess friend who never abandoned him, so she followed Fang Zhou to the chessboard in the community square.

Watching her husband and this Boss Zhao fight their way through the battlefield, Chen Xin didn't understand what was going on, but she knew that the two of them were really awful.

Anyone who didn't know better would think the two were highly skilled chess players.

From a distance, the two men's expressions and tones were incredibly genuine; they seemed to be carefully considering each move before placing it.

But upon closer inspection, the chessboard was utterly chaotic.

It's like a tangled mess.

The two men, whose combined age is close to 130 or 140, play chess like children fighting. They punch each other and kick each other, eventually getting mixed up and turning into close-quarters, shameless fighting.

It has absolutely nothing to do with being a master!

Old Zhao would occasionally offer his comments, and most importantly, her husband chimed in, saying how wonderful this boy was, beyond words.

"Bang!"

After pondering for a long time, Old Zhao finally made a move, let out a long sigh, and exclaimed that this move was unsolvable.

Then, looking at Chen Xin with a kind expression, he asked in a wise manner.

"Xiao Xin, what do you think of my move?"

"Could this be considered a stroke of genius?"

Chen Xin took a deep breath, smiled, and slowly said, "Old Zhao's chess skills are superb; he thinks ten steps ahead for every move he makes. He's truly a master!"

Upon hearing Chen Xin's words, Old Zhao laughed heartily.

"I'm hardly a master; I can only say I know a little chess."

"On the contrary, Xiaozhou seems to have quite a high and mighty demeanor!"

"Haha, Old Zhao, you're joking. I'm not as good as you!"

Watching the two play chess like chicks pecking at each other, even praising each other, made Chen Xin feel rather miserable and unable to bear watching.

Turning their heads to the side, they unexpectedly saw a cold, malevolent-looking man slowly walking towards them.

Upon seeing Chen Xin, his eyes blazed with a bloodthirsty light, and a terrifying killing intent erupted like a volcano.

"die!"

A roar was heard.

Chen Xin was so frightened that she collapsed to the ground, only able to watch helplessly as the terrifying man leaped up and attacked them.

Instantly, death arrived.
