I Created a Sanctuary in Marvel

Chapter 37 The Possibility of Perfecting Mutant Abilities

"Ring ring..."

Inside the Papal Palace, Ye Feng's phone rang again. He glanced at the caller ID and pressed the answer button.

"Ye, the Brotherhood of Mutants... wants to talk to you." Logan's voice came from the other end of the phone, with the sound of wind and heavy breathing faintly audible in the background, indicating that the situation on the other end was still very tense.

Ye Feng gripped the phone, his gaze distant. Logan's encounter with the Brotherhood of Mutants meant Magneto had already set his sights on Rogue...Anna Marie.

That machine is probably ready by now. According to the original plot, Magneto will soon forcibly turn a senator into a mutant, and that person will eventually die tragically due to genetic collapse.

That machine was fundamentally flawed; technology was utterly incapable of truly harnessing the power to create life, and the X-gene was far beyond the capabilities of a simple device. All it could do was temporarily suppress or distort it, never truly transform it.

"What are you trying to say?"

Ye Feng's cold voice came through the loudspeaker. Although they were thousands of miles apart, every mutant present felt an indescribable sense of oppression, as if he himself were standing in front of them.

"Your Majesty Ye Feng." Raven stepped forward, trying to remain calm.

"The Brotherhood of Mutants has no intention of being an enemy of the Vatican or of you. It's just... Eric's plan requires that mutant named Anna Mary. If the plan succeeds, the future will belong to mutants!"

She tried to persuade him with the spirit of the community, but the other end of the phone remained silent.

A moment later, a contemptuous sneer rang out.

"Has Magneto lost his mind?" Ye Feng's voice remained calm, yet carried an undeniable authority.

"Revolutions will certainly involve sacrifice and bloodshed, but they should never be wasted on such meaningless things."

"Trying to turn humans into mutants? You'd better figure out the true origin of mutants first."

He paused briefly, then commanded decisively, "Take Anna Mary back to the Papacy. If they try to stop us... kill them."

As soon as he finished speaking, the phone was hung up, leaving only a busy tone.

Ye Feng gave them absolutely no room to continue negotiating.

The Brotherhood of Mutants' faces immediately turned extremely grim. They hadn't expected that their opponents wouldn't even give Magneto a shred of respect.

The most shocked person was Raven. Magneto's plan was highly confidential, so how did the Vatican find out?

"Has the Vatican's intelligence capabilities... reached this level?" Her expression shifted between anger and uncertainty, but she dared not utter another word.

At this moment, a burning fighting spirit ignited in Clarice's eyes, the surrounding temperature rose sharply, the air distorted, and it became difficult to breathe.

"You heard that too." Logan grinned, his eyes gleaming with fighting spirit.

"Ye Feng's attitude is very clear: you are welcome to visit the Vatican at any time."

Before he finished speaking, the ground beneath his feet began to tremble slightly, resonating with his steady heartbeat, as if a raging storm was about to erupt again.

Raven's gaze swept over Logan and Clarice, her eyes filled with resentment, yet she knew she was powerless to break the deadlock.

Based on the power that the two have shown so far.

Manipulating the earth, controlling fire and space...

Apart from Magneto himself, no one in the Brotherhood can defeat him.

"...Let's go!" she ordered through gritted teeth.

The saber-toothed tiger glared fiercely at Logan, its eyes filled with malice, as if it still wanted to pounce on him and fight to the death.

But when he caught a glimpse of the flames engulfing Clarice, he ultimately suppressed his impulse; the feeling of being burned to a crisp and then healing himself was not pleasant.

The members of the Brotherhood of Mutants quickly withdrew and disappeared into the night.

Seeing them disappear into the distance, Clarice and Logan slowly withdrew their power. The heat in the air gradually subsided, and the tremors on the ground ceased.

Logan looked at the red-haired girl beside him. This was the Space Queen, renowned throughout Europe; her strength was indeed unfathomable.

"Have they...left?"

Mischievous Anna cautiously peeked out of the house and, seeing only Logan and Clarice, finally breathed a sigh of relief.

"This place is not safe to stay for long."

"Let's go back to the Vatican first."

Clarice turned to her, her tone softening.

She raised her hand and opened a portal shimmering with golden light. A mutant capable of attracting the attention of both His Majesty Ye Feng and Magneto must possess extraordinary abilities; she must be brought back to the Holy See as soon as possible.

Inside the Papal Palace, Ye Feng put down the phone and fell into deep thought.

Magneto's antics will inevitably disrupt the recently calmed mutant situation, and humanity's fear and suppression of mutants will only intensify.

Even without Magneto, there will always be someone who jumps out to stir up trouble.

Not all high-ranking officials are willing to see humans and mutants coexist peacefully. Even today, with the emergence of supernatural beings, some still blindly believe that technology and nuclear weapons can suppress all supernatural forces.

"It seems it's time to completely unveil this mystery."

Ye Feng looked out the window. The mutant population was growing stronger every day, and more and more ordinary people were becoming aware of their existence because of the awakening of those around them. It was no longer possible for governments to cover it up.

"Why not take this opportunity to officially bring the extraordinary world to the forefront?"

A plan gradually took shape in his mind. Magneto's actions certainly brought pressure, but if handled properly, they could be an opportunity for the Papacy to further expand its influence.

The Saint Seiya Legion is currently too small, and its members lack practical combat experience. Cultivating strong individuals is not something that can be done overnight. Ye Feng is patient and waits, but he feels that... the manpower is far from sufficient.

Soon after, a portal shimmering with an eerie light opened within the Papal Palace, and Clarice returned to the Holy See with Little Rascal and Logan.

"It seems you haven't slacked off in your cultivation." Ye Feng's gaze first fell on Logan.

"certainly."

"I haven't slacked off for a single day."

Logan smiled.

"Cultivating one's inner universe is fundamental." Ye Feng nodded slightly.

"Once you awaken your inner universe, your strength will experience a qualitative leap. When you cultivate to the point of developing your sixth sense, you will awaken your own superpowers."

He paused for a moment, looked at Logan and Little Rascal, and continued:

"The X gene, in a sense, is the superpower hidden within the human body. In other words, if you awaken your sixth sense, your self-healing ability will be further enhanced. Simply put, cultivating your inner power can not only help mutants better control their abilities, but can even further refine and strengthen them."

"Do you understand what this means?"

This is an important discovery Ye Feng made during his recent meditation.

Due to the uniqueness of his soul, he awakened additional telekinesis, and his elemental control also increased accordingly. The ability of "Elemental Blessing" is the effect of his advanced cosmos.

This unexpected discovery may change the fate of the entire mutant population.

"This means... there's hope for mutants!"

Before Logan could respond, the little rascal spoke excitedly, his eyes sparkling with hope: "We are no longer the outcasts feared and rejected by humans... We will become the leaders of a new era!"
